Yet another confirmation of the excellent all-round quality of this temple of the art of cooking (in fact the name refers to the works of art on display but I would dedicate it to the literally artistic creativity of continually creating extraordinary dishes. What's more, with a brand new, exceptional, vegan menu, respecting individual sensitivities and the environment. Every time I conclude a meal, even after so many years, I find myself amazed by Master Oertle's imagination: there is not a single time that it is repeated, whether it's pasta, risotto, meat or fish and now even vegan. It's a dream journey between one sensation and another, a whirlwind of aromas, flavours, visions of dishes that are new and different each time. The combinations between one matter and its side dishes are always "fun" for the palate and the eyes. Last night two hours flew by between a pre-appetizer and an appetizer then another taste of a different dish and then moving on to another dish and so on until the amazing desserts. All seasoned with high or very high quality wines (but you can also drink them at reasonable prices), thanks to a historic, proven and affably professional staff. Marvelous.

Invited to a wedding, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cuisine and the punctual and elegant service. The only dish postponed was the champagne risotto, in my opinion a little behind in cooking and with less than perfect creaming. The wedding cake was a little ugly to look at but very good. Very beautiful location on the shore of Lake Lugano to be reevaluated in an intimate dinner.

I’m a regular Michelin star enjoyer and this was one of the best meals I’ve had in the last 10 years. Beautiful views over the lake. Sommelier and wait staff were impeccable - charming and enthusiastic with perfect timing from course to course. The tasting menu was fantastic, wine pairing was exceptional. Highlight dishes include the seafood salad with seaweed and dry ice, the Sicilian mushroom pasta and Canadian bison - all perfectly cooked and presented. In my experience, this is easily 2-star cooking and more than deserving of the price

Each time we come to Lugano we have to dine at Artè , it is one of the best restaurants in this beautiful little swiss- Italian town. The food is fantastic and view is very romantic. We had a lovely time last night and we enjoyed every moment.

An absolutely exquisite dining experience that I will remember throughout my life! My friend and I selected the tasting menu and the wonderful wine pairing, and we couldn't recommend it more. Very grateful to the staff and talented chef who made our visit so special.

This was my first fine dining experience ever. It's never really seemed worth it for me to go to fancy places with tasting menus because of my gluten-sensitive and vegetarian diet. We had picked the place because of the amazing view. Before heading to the restaurant, my partner and I had already found a back-up dinner place in case there wasn't an option for me. To say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement! This restaurant went out of their way and off menu for me to have a delicious meal for dinner. They made a simple, yet so flavorful burrata and basil risotto. My partner had tagliatelle with amberjack. They even had a really nice gluten free bread for me! We had a view of the lakefront during sunset and the service and the ambience in the room was incredible. This experience was just to die for, it might actually be the best dinner I have ever had. Though we didn't do the tasting menu, with all the little snacks in between our selected courses, and the (free! ) dessert, we were so stuffed at the end!!

After our preferred restaurant, where we had made a reservation, had to close for 2-3 days due to bad weather, we looked for another Michelin restaurant. We two friends with short Adidas pants, sneakers and visible tattoos, but doctors and psychotherapists and quite knowledgeable in culinary matters and solvent, were looked at in disbelief and immediately turned away with the comment that everything was fully booked (empty tables were visible from the outside). We were then sent to the nearest pizzeria. This was the height of poor treatment. Thank you, but we are very welcome in many places and there, with you, we will never try again, even with long trousers.

The pavilion by the lake is like a museum, but the sommelier and waiters are relaxed and relaxed. So don't be afraid of gourmet temples. We have been visiting this restaurant for years. This year we were disappointed with the service. We weren't properly seated yet; the trays for drinks and food had already arrived. Then came the question of an aperitif, it wasn't there yet, the selection of rolls arrived shortly afterwards, the greeting from the kitchen and not even 2 minutes later the starter from the menu included in the booking. Then finally the aperitif. Now advice was expensive and there was hardly any space for the table including the two tablets. A cozy atmosphere for a good meal and a lovely evening was no longer possible. This shouldn't happen in a restaurant of this category. To save our honor, the food was excellent as always, but there was no longer a good atmosphere, which is simply part of it for us.

I loved the restaurant atomespher. Their food, excellent service, and overall night. Nevertheless I think I didn't choose their best dishes as they weren't my favorites, ravioli and sea bass and I think it goes back to my preference. However my husband took the full set menue and it was superb 👌 It was nice to know that you could drop off your car in the Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola for valet parking.

I would happily dine in any of their 3 restaurants, unfortunately pets are generally not allowed, only in the bar, in the rucula. We are in Switzerland where they are welcome in dinning places, including Michelin stars restaurants. Had the incredible opportunity to have been invited to a wedding which had their reception at the Ristorante Arté. Definitely the best wedding reception dinner I've ever had, including my own wedding haha. I'm not mad about it. Every dish was well balanced and tasty, plus they had wine and champagne pairings with each dish. Started off with a prawn and assorted seafood salad, followed by a hearty risotto, then a buttery cod with perfectly crisp skin, finished off with a filet that was moist and tender and paired with a foie gras pâtè. Chefs kiss! Delectable and unforgettable meal. They also had an assortment of truffles, jellies and meringue. There was also 3 types of cake. We died and went to food heaven. The staff was attentive and professional. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and elegant. It was a wonderful experience.

Arte is located in a splendid location in Lugano: directly on the lake, probably one of the most beautiful. The offer is wide and we were undecided between tasting menus or individual dishes, however in the end we opted for a Carnaroli risotto, the wagyu appetizer, the veal fillet mignon and the sea bass with fregola and saffron. The desserts were one with strawberries and the other with ruby ​​chocolate and mush mellow. As an entree we received amuse bouche as well as small sweets before the coffee. In short, high level service, we were pampered, even though there were only 4 tables occupied, all dishes were refined and of high quality, prices in line with the market. The wine selection is good, perhaps the price per glass could be lower. Definitely a place worth visiting!

One of the more reasonably priced Michelin restaurants. Overall I'm glad I stopped by here. The food took longer than usual in between courses but were worth the wait. Overall the entire tasting menu felt too light and starter oriented for me. The turbot was cooked well but the dish was overall bland in my opinion. Having said that the dishes and experience we had was overall amazing and we had a great time. The wine pairings were also top notch.

Si tratta di una galleria d'arte e ristorante posta sulla sponda del Lago di Lugano, nel quartiere di Castagnola. Il ristorante "dipende" dal Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola, di cui fa parte anche se in sede distaccata. Mi sono recato in due occasioni, una volta a pranzo e una a cena e servizio e cucina sono sempre stati eccellenti, impeccabili, estremamente professionali e di altissimo livello. Assolutamente consigliato e non vedo l'ora di tornarci.

Stato due settimane fa a cena con la moglie .Premetto che erano almeno 5 anni che ci volevo andare ma visto che il martedì era sempre chiuso e io posso solo al martedì non c ero mai stato .Per caso curiosando su Tripadwisor mi sono accorto che adesso sono aperti al martedì quindi ho preso la palla al balzo e senza pensarci due volte ho riservato .Le aspettative era alte anzi molto alte ma tutte son state disattese !Ristorante molto bello con personale di servizio molto cordiale e disponibile ma la cucina propio non ci siamo certo va a gusti ma da un ristorante stellato si va per cercare un esperienza fuori dal comune ,qui invece tutt altro .Abbiamo optato per scegliere alla carta visto che il menù gastronomico non ci ispirava ho scelto come antipasto gamberi rossi con burrata e tartare di pesce che mi sfugge il nome :assolutamente gamberi Rossi insapore a parte la presentazione del piatto come gusto non ci siamo propio .Il mio primo risotto con animelle marinate ,limone e asparagi assolutamente cucinato non male di più risotto passato di cottura e che sapeva solo di limone !Piatto forte filetto di manzo e fagottini di foiegras:carne buona e cottura ottima ma i fagottini di foiegras a dir poco immangiabili x quanto sapevano di anatra praticamente da amante del foiegras non pensavo si potesse cucinare una cosa così buona così male e infatti L ho lasciato nel piatto ,dessert di fragole senza infamia e senza lode e se vogliamo dirla tutta se scelgo un dessert a base di fragole e mi viene portato un pre dessert con le stesse fragole mi cascano le braccia ! In sintesi serata da dimenticare peggiore esperienza in un ristorante di questo livello !delusissimo !Naturalmente quello che ho scritto qua L ho anche detto al Maitre quando mi ha portato il conto in quanto son sempre dell idea che le cose meglio dirle di persona ,Conto direi sotto la media se paragonato ad altri stellati ma a parte che x la vista non ne vale propio la pena .

Our best men called up to let the restaurant know we were celebrating what would have been our wedding day and bought us a bottle of champagne. The staff were incredible particularly the sommelier Stefano who kept the restaurant open an extra hour after the tasting menu to give us a flavour of local ticino wines.
