Good food, but the employees were terrible and I'm commenting today because every time I have the right to mean looks because I take the menu as much as you can eat and I'm a big eater so that makes them angry but it's my right and I have the right with each order the reminder “if you don't finish it will be charged” and I find that unpleasant. In short, it’s intolerable to be treated like that….

The food is not bad. The staff are very unpleasant when they see young people coming… They don't give you a carafe of water when you can take whatever you want 🤣🤣🤣

They increased the prices for Valentine's Day without warning. Rude service but the sushi was good.

My experience there? HORRIBLE. The waiter takes us to a table where we stick to a couple, telling you that we knew everything about their lives by the end of the evening. 40 min waiting for our dish (sushi and fried shrimp) I ask for soy sauce, the waitress brings it to me after I have finished eating. Every time the waitress comes to bring us the dishes, I almost get knocked out by her tray. She makes a mistake on the order and drops a service on me without apologizing. The food was terrible. the sushi is not sushi, the seaweed was much too elastic and therefore very difficult to chew. Fried things are way too fried, apart from eating the breading I didn't feel anything else. If we remove the sushi and fried food, the menu is not very big and I'm not sure it will be good. Knowing that I paid 45.- for the all-you-can-eat menu per person, it's definitely not worth it. Knowing also that dessert is not included in this menu. I advise you not to go there. (Paid water)

I've been there several times for the all-you-can-eat menu but my opinion is now decided: it's sick interns. As soon as they spot a table of big eaters the dishes become bad and very greasy! In addition, they control digestion wonderfully by making you wait exactly the right time between services so that you are no longer hungry! And the icing on the cake was that I vomited all night after my meal! I admit defeat, they are too strong.

Excellent sushi and donuts. Excellent service. We took the formula as much as we wanted and never exceeded 3 orders so learn to manage your orders!

We chose the all-you-can-eat formula. The food was good, loved the grilled beef ravioli, pork rolls, beef with onions. The sushi is also good. The decor is not to my taste, with the light it's cold. A waitress seemed exhausted, amorphous, and was not smiling. Next to a gentleman with much more pep and smile. But for the food, I will come back with great pleasure.

We took the all you can eat Saturday lunch. Food was quick to arrive, so I can't echo other reviews of having to wait very long - but it wasn't too full either. The food quality was OK, nothing special but at the price it's a good deal. I assumed we needed to order drinks, it's common in all you can eat places, so that was not a surprise either. My let down was that after 3 smaller orders we were asked by the owner whether we were soon done, since we were ordering too many times. She didn't force us to finish and we still ordered one final time (ordering more at once) but it made us feel watched and harassed. If you label yourself all you can eat you need to stop being stingy and making people feel bad for ordering in their way. Why go for an online ordering system if you enforce "3 large orders"? I guess it's to have people miscalculate amounts and then charge them for leftovers (this didn't happen to us, but it's apparently practiced here). Food and service at the table was good, but the stingy ordering policies made me feel bad about eating/ordering. I will not be back.

The service was impeccable and fast, the two waitresses were professional and smiling. We had the all-you-can-eat menu at lunchtime: the beef was well cooked. This restaurant is a good address and stands out from those offering these all-you-can-eat options due to the fact that the ravioli and sushi were made on site and the meat cooking was top notch.

The food is very good, but 42chf the evening with nothing extra compared to the lunch menu at ~30chf, no water from the tap and desert not included (was not mentioned properly in the menu compared to other indication). The desert text was writen in the same font and special color as the conditions for the kids menu. This ruined my experience in general. I can't recommend.

I have never been so poorly served in my entire life. We are not allowed to drink water from a carafe (you must buy a 75cl bottle of water at a price of 5.5-CHF) and when the glass is empty the waiters take it away. The servers are disrespectful, no smile, criticize, stare and look badly when you eat and make comments about the customers. It is unacceptable. Concerning the dishes, the slightest thing not eaten will be charged at the price of the dish. Please note payment only in cash.

Mass food paradise! Clearly, if you come here it’s for the all-you-can-eat options. Don't think about taking anything else. It's not 5 star food, but it's good! For an outing with colleagues or friends where the goal is to fill your stomach, you are clearly in the right place! :)

What can we say about Gambatte. For years, I enjoyed eating their sushi sold in the subsidiary in Métropole 2000. Moreover, I considered them among the best in Lausanne! Then, one day, I said to myself that it would be great to eat the all-you-can-eat formula in their restaurant in Lausanne... It was filthy. I never put bad comments, but this was inedible! We agree, not everything was, but nothing was delicious. On the other hand, what was inedible was the bowl of “ramen udon” (I forgot the exact name). So bad that my husband and I were forced to leave our bowls unopened and, as a bonus, had to pay waste costs (despite explaining that it was disgusting). Well, if you like shrimp sushi: don't hesitate, they are good. But if you like Asian food and good all-you-can-eat buffets, go your way! No value for money.

The dishes are good but too many constraints for the customers. You can't take a carafe of water so you have to pay for an extra drink. We waited at least an hour before receiving our dishes. During our first order, 2 waiters came to complain to us saying that it was too much even though there were 4 of us who had taken the formula galore with derogatory remarks. We felt pressured to finish our dishes otherwise we would have to pay for wastage. All means are good to extract more money from us. Very heavy atmosphere

Good choice of dishes. For the all-you-can-eat menu, everything is ordered via your phone and served to you at the table. Be careful not to waste/order too much because otherwise you will be charged. Well presented dishes, homemade ravioli, sushi on site, etc.

Don't go there for the look but for the food. All you can eat for 45 CHF per person is a great bargain. You can order all types of sushi and japanese hot food using an app. Service is low key but very nice. I definitely recommend it

Currently at the restaurant, we've been waiting for our order for 1h30. Terrible service even if the quality of the food is there, the rest is really disappointing.

The waiters are very rude. Impossible to have a carafe of water if you take the menu galore. 2 hours of waiting and we weren't even served.

Great experience, really nice owners and really good food. A lot of delicious cinese plates, not so much sushi dices but all really tasty. Really good proportion food/price 101 CHF for 2 all you can eat on a Saturday night. We will come back for sure!

Like many reviews here, I was shocked by the constraints in this restaurant: - only 3 orders possible for the all-you-can-eat menu; - impossibility of having a carafe of water - choice only possible via a QR Code and the website - if an all-you-can-eat menu, the whole table must take it (which I can understand). Then the orders arrive in dribs and drabs, even if we take them in “packages” via a single smartphone. The dishes are ok, not excellent either, the setting is a bit basic, the service not great.

The food is fresh and yummy. The service is good and smiley. Parking is not easy to find, only downside.

This was a good experience overall, the staff was friendly and the food was very good. The sushis were great and the duck was cooked nicely. The decor is a bit old fashioned but it’s worth the visit. I think for what you’re getting the price is acceptable, specially that you can tell some of the products are fresh like the dumplings.

Since I haven't been going for a while, I have always been well served but last week it was really bad service. 1h20 to finally have 2 starters from my first order and then everything started to arrive mixed up, half of the things were missing. When I finally complained, it all happened at once (I'm sure they forgot about it). I wouldn't go back there again!

The dishes are very good, but unfortunately unnecessary rules are imposed on customers. If we eat as much as we want, we must order a drink. I wanted to have a glass of water, but I was forced to take a large bottle. Other rules we have no more, because friends I wanted them to take a la carte menus, but the waiter said they couldn't, so they had to take the formula galore. Pleasant ambience. At 35 Swiss francs it's incredibly good value for money. Would definitely recommend coming with a lot of time on your hands. They can take while but that's just because it's fresh. Great stuff. Service was pleasant too, everyone's English was good enough to get by. Will likely visit again. In a very pleasant neighborhood too with good dessert options for later and it makes for a nice respite from shopping. The food itself is very good too. The chef is excellent and increased the spices as requested. Each dish is exquisite and distinct which is no mean feat. I cannot praise this place enough.

Very long service, food dripping and impossible to get a carafe of water knowing that water costs 5.50CHF. Missing 200.- on the receipt. We were charged the all-you-can-eat formula even though we never expressed this wish and no one came to offer to order a second time. Once corrected, there were still mistakes and overcounted dishes. Nobody apologized. Better check your receipt! We went from 440.- to 270.- Very good food!

Fairly slow service but the sushi is good

Arriving at 12:30 for an all-you-can-eat meal, we learn that we can only order 3 times. Then, we had to wait more than 1 hour to receive our first order. We had to finish everything on our table to order a second time and received the dishes at 2:40 p.m. The waiter therefore announced to us that there would be no third course when we ordered the second time. In addition, if we do not finish our dishes we have to pay. One of the people only wanted to order an a la carte dish because she wasn't hungry enough, the waiter refused, so she watched us eat. The waitresses are almost aggressive and unpleasant. Very bad experience.

Fast service and well prepared dishes. The sushi is original, tasty and generous. The all-you-can-eat formula allows you to taste a little bit of everything at a really reasonable price.

Very expensive for what you get on the menu, desert and even water is not included. Food took forever to come and they would not allow us to order other food until everything was brought out. Restaurant with really excellent sushi. Moreover, Sushi Métropole is part of this restaurant and the Sushis are fresh and for 25.- galore (29.- at Gambatte). However, the Gambatte manages the service poorly when there are a few more customers. We were not well received and we waited almost an hour to be served. In addition, we were not entitled to wasabi, ginger and soy sauce; they were overwhelmed. That day, the owner yelled at customers for more than 15 minutes in front of all the other customers in the restaurant; this is not very professional. I love their Sushi but I won't go back. On the other hand, Sushi Métropole, I recommend!

Pleasantly surprised. The place doesn't look like much, the lighting and acoustics are unpleasant, however the decoration is nice. The offer galore is interesting, the sushi is good, a good size and there is plenty of choice. The spicy beef is delicious, the meat is good. The meat ravioli are also very good. On the other hand, I find that the tempura shrimp are very fatty and too small compared to the breading. I will come back to try other dishes!

Gamba-failed- A precarious and totally disrespectful restaurant. We came on purpose for a friend's birthday; but impossible to order a buffet for 2 or 2 à la carte dishes. The boss is intrensigent in his idiotic rules. A real slap in the face. The quality of service is essential; but in this one, nothing is respected. Despite the quality of the food as well as the concept. I do not recommend this “restaurant”. . I regret that negative notes do not exist.

Very pleasant surprise of a restaurant! The "all you can eat" formula is incredibly diverse with plenty of choices, not only excellent sushi but also appetizers, warm dishes (rice, noodles, chicken, beef...). The value for money is honestly unmatched, especially in Switzerland! The staff was very nice, quick and efficient. Plus, the sushi was extremely fresh. An absolute must!
