Gasthaus Richisau in Glarus

Ate very well, the service and the cuisine are simply great...very good. It's a shame that the couple is running away.

Everything is perfect in this place (except the weather during our stay, but the hotel is not responsible for that!). The hotel is beautifully located, just above Lake Klöntaler. Since the road from here towards the Pragelpass is not allowed on weekends, it is very quiet, especially on weekends. The food in the restaurant is first class, something you wouldn't expect in such a remote location. The prices are absolutely reasonable in relation to what you get. The service is also very good. The hotel room (the two of us booked the family room) was big enough, clean and nicely furnished. Only the lighting could be a little better. A weak point, but not so important, is the Internet. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Apparently Starlink is used by Space-X. This will probably be the reason for the rather unstable connection. Unfortunately, there is hardly any cell phone reception, so you have to rely on WiFi if you even need an internet connection.

The Richisau inn is beautifully located and has a great outdoor seating area. I was pretty hungry and actually wanted to order a large menu with cordon bleu and French fries. Unfortunately, due to the lateness of the day (after 2 p.m.), this was no longer possible, so we each ordered an “Appenzeller Chäswähe” with a mixed salad. In hindsight, this turned out to be a good decision, because the cheese cheese with the various salads was more than enough to satisfy my hunger in the long term. The cheese cheese had an excellent taste and was, in my opinion, optimally seasoned. For sensitive people it might be a little on the salty side, but for me it's absolutely OK. The price of Fr. 19.50 was okay for me for the quality offered in this beautiful environment.

The inn is simple and stylish in everything. Rooms are newly renovated and the food is excellent. We ended up here by chance and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Food and Drink: Everything is very fine. The organic iced tea is super delicious. My highlight: There's a huge chair in the back corner. I have seen this in Africa so far. On the back it's like a harp!! Very special art object.

It's a shame that we (2 people) were served this evening... there was a computer on a table... no one was on it... a large round table was occupied by a lady... ... we should have waited 3/4 hours... then a table might have become available... As well as a restaurateur... - incomprehensible to me... It's a shame the boss wasn't interested... We should have just called... He said...

My sister had health problems. The team took great care of you. So my sister got back on her feet. On my next stay in the Klöntal, I will definitely plan a stop with you again.

A special comfort or cozy peculiarity characterizes this place. Located in the middle of a magnificent sycamore grove in the gently renovated red-grey “Tobleronehaus” with a secluded garden terrace. The rooms are simple but very functional. The dining room and kitchen fit this place very well. Carefully prepared regional cuisine. We felt we were in great hands and regret the departure of the current tenants, to whom we wish only the very best.

Great hotel for family weekends and mountain trips. There are family rooms, a bed for children on the second tier. The food is good. There are many hiking trails nearby. Free parking nearby. There is an option for overnight stays with dogs.

Excellent food, great selection of drinks, very friendly and competent service. Pleasant outdoor atmosphere.

We came on foot from Studen over the Saas Pass and stayed overnight here. Everything was perfect for us here. The room with shower had everything you needed. The beds are very good and the tinkling of cowbells were the only noises at night. We really enjoyed the surprise menu. On the one hand because of the friendly service and the beautiful view, but on the other hand because of the very good food. We will definitely come back here again.

Great service and great food. Very nice staff who also prepare something delicious for vegans. The rooms are unoccupied and therefore quite cold, but there are plenty of warm blankets to snuggle up in. I'd love to come back.

All good. Great food, but small portions. I need after a long walk a big portion. With a bigger portion, I would have rated 5 stars
