Were there today with 2 adults and 4 children, good service, food was delicious, the 9.50 for fries was absolutely fair and justified. Homemade iced tea, aperitif very good size :) there's a lot of love in the garden business, see you soon :)

If the restaurant is already closed on a Saturday, then this should be changed online so that you don't unexpectedly find yourself in front of a locked door. 🤔

It was another wonderful evening with a culinary highlight beyond compare. This club steak for 2 people is simply heavenly. And this jus was incomparable. And the sliced ​​veal with rösti was, as always, delicious.

I have no idea why certain people still write bad reviews or are looking for a fly in the ointment! It was clearly communicated to us when we made the reservation that the large menu would only be available from 5:30 p.m. and the phone was answered straight away! Despite many other guests over the course of the evening, the service was perfect and organized👍 We as parents were able to enjoy the evening very much, as it is also a paradise for children. A thank you to your children who welcomed our daughter so ❤️ and we will definitely come back🤗. Kind regards, keep it up and ignore the bad recessions.

Very nice place, good food, very nice service. The hospitality is simply perfect, the location directly on the lake under shady trees is unique. We, Silvia and Jürg, are always happy to be there.

It's a shame that I can't give out any awards, because this restaurant deserves some! For me the best food in the region. We've been there more than 10 times now and have been to many restaurants in Switzerland, but the Schiffli on Lake Constance is always an absolute pleasure! Many thanks to the owner and his always friendly, hard-working staff! Stay as you are!

I came with a German Shepherd, sat down and water was brought to me. Food was perfect, service was courteous, not a long wait. Price performance was great. I've been there 3 times in a short time. Recommended.

The restaurant was very busy and the service staff was still very friendly and apologized for the waiting times. We appreciated this and enjoyed the view of Lake Constance. The food was a culinary delight with sophistication and the dessert was definitely not for diabetics 😀. It was an enjoyable evening and we went home feeling inspired.

Very good food . I'm there more often. I tried the whole menu, it was super tasty. Friendly staff and hosts, very pleasant people. Even in light rain, great atmosphere.

Right on the lake under the beautiful trees - what more could you want? Clearly very tasty food and extremely dedicated service make the trip to Schiff-li perfect. We would be happy to come back. The varied menu still has a lot to offer. By the way, I don't think it's fair that the motivated host family here on Googlemap has to bear all the negative reviews from the time before you.

When looking for a restaurant by the lake, we chose Schiff-Li. We ate well, didn't have to wait long and were served in a friendly manner. We'd love to come back.

Schiff_li is a restaurant not a hotel.

I advise you to watch out for a waiter who adds unsolicited items to the bill. Fraudsters

The Schiff-li restaurant in Güttingen/Lake Constance/Switzerland is worth a trip. Right on the lake, wonderful garden restaurant, only open when the weather is nice, excellent food, Aperol, Hugo etc., great service if you know how to behave😉i.e. Don't just sit down, nice children's playground, casual lounge insider tip; Swimming pool 200m away

Thank you for the excellent service and the great food. A small oasis of well-being to relax and enjoy. Perfect for our short vacation. We'll definitely be back.

Since I haven't lived in the region for long, I was very curious to see what would result from the (just completed) renovation. Now I have with 1 person. Accompaniment took the step and crowned an otherwise beautiful day (April 14th) with a night in the Schiff-Li. The service is very nice and attentive. The food (1x asparagus with chicken breasts / 1x asparagus with entrecôte) tasted great, although it was a bit too rich for our taste. We were also pleased that the selection on the menu wasn't too big (courage to concentrate on the essentials!!) and that some of the food came from the region. The ambience is surprisingly nostalgic, but we also found it pleasant that something so simple still exists or is being preserved (music wouldn't be necessary for me) I wish the courageous innkeeper couple a successful start to the season or their lifetime in Güttingen.... and good children (that's why no 5th star)

Reserved by phone for 8 people to eat at 4:30 p.m. The waiter did not reserve a table and the food was only served from 6 p.m. Very rude staff and landlady. We will neither recommend the restaurant nor visit it again!

When it comes to the food, the restaurant gets 5 stars, and the location and ambience are simply top. Unfortunately the restaurant doesn't seem to have enough staff. Over 30 people who wanted to consume were sent away. Apparently all the seats were reserved, but no one came to the many empty tables the entire evening. We also wanted to call and make a reservation 2 hours in advance, but no one answered the phone for us. In the restaurant itself, I noticed that the phone was deliberately ignored and no one answered it, even though it was ringing. The lady in service is very helpful and friendly, but the gentleman is very unsympathetic. But I would eat there again in the hope that I can get a seat or that someone will answer the phone for me if I want to make a reservation.

The food is always very fine, regional and lovingly prepared. The service is very personal. We were here on a sunny summer evening and loved it. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately the service staff was unwilling to offer a small sandwich - there is only what is listed on the menu. Extremely high prices (like in the city with white tablecloths and crystal glasses and cloth napkins), even though it's just a garden restaurant with music that's too loud. We had to wait a long time to pay.

First of all, there was a very long wait for service, and if you consider that the employees walk past you and serve guests who came later and you realize that the guests have said several times that they want to pay and nothing happens, that's a bit embarrassing I would not recommend this once popular restaurant to anyone

We always eat here several times when we are in Güttingen. The food is really, really good and freshly cooked. You can tell that the chef is passionate about his job. We find the team well-positioned, friendly and dynamic. The outdoor area right by the lake under the beautiful old plane trees is totally cozy and relaxing.

It's a shame, nice place by the lake. But the service is very, very slow. After an hour we couldn't place our order for our coups. After we started various payment attempts, we paid at the buffet. We were simply ignored... and 6.50 for the house tea in connection with this service is simply cheeky.

Perfect food, good value for money, rather higher segment, great atmosphere by the lake. The last star is only missing because of the run-of-the-mill dessert menu a la Findus... Only ice cream... It's a shame, because the rest was a level higher and suggested a more imaginative menu.

Despite the stormy weather, we spent a great evening at Schiff-Li, first in the charming garden restaurant, then in the pretty restaurant. The staff is super nice, very attentive, hard-working and personable. The food was also perfect, very fine, with selected ingredients, imaginative and beautifully prepared. We are pleased that after the change of host it is worth coming to this beautiful location again. We will come back and recommend you 😊

The most important thing is that Food was very good. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. The salad in advance was forgotten. And we had to try three times to make sure we could pay.

Cycling in summer makes you want a delicious ice cream and we ate a delicious ice cream at Schiff-li. The waitress probably looked at us by the tip of his nose and told us that we wanted ice cream and came to our table with the ice cream menu in his hand. There were oldies playing in the background and we felt wonderfully comfortable and very attentively served in the shade of the trees.
