Restaurant Zum Goldenen Lamm in Güttingen

Our visit yesterday was very worthwhile. The food (home-style and Indian) was excellent. The service was very friendly and accommodating. We didn't have to wait long for the delicious food. Suggestion for improvement: If you come with your dog, it would be nice if you asked if you could put out a bowl of water for the dog. It doesn't cost much and a good dog owner will certainly add a tip to this advantage.

This was my 3rd visit and everyone was delicious! There is Indian and home-style cuisine here. The price-performance ratio is very good for the quality you get here.

The food was simply sensational! Thank you very much for your efforts! A very large selection of home-style Swiss and Thai dishes, all freshly prepared with local products! Very exemplary! We are blown away by the host's philosophy and his commitment to reading the guests' wishes. Especially since the host embodied service, washing up and kitchen in one (unfortunately due to the omnipresent lack of staff) Admirable and highly recommended!

My wife and I went for dinner, 110 CHF. Totally overpriced… kitchen miserable. Service underground. Cash only, or TWINT. That smells like money laundering!

I had a fantastic experience at the Indian restaurant. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was also excellent. The restaurant offers a wide selection of Indian dishes as well as local specialties, which offers a great variety. I was lucky enough to try some of the local dishes and I was really impressed. The spices and flavors were perfectly balanced and the food was fresh and delicious. The portions were generous and I felt completely satisfied but not overly full. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant and cozy, which made my stay all the more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a delicious meal and wants to have a great experience.

Very rude owner, the restaurant is empty so it's not surprising that it is like that. The prices are astronomical. I will never come back here again and I do not recommend it. And their good opinions are false and simply commissioned.

We had a lovely evening today with delicious Indian food. The quality here is kept very high, coupled with the owner's great culinary skills, the food here is a real pleasure. The staff is very warm, we felt very comfortable. We would like to come again.

Fabulous food and great wine, I can only recommend it and definitely have to try it. Wonderful staff and service. It's a must try if you like Tamil/Indian food. I can't wait to return with friends and family.

Great restaurant. Great selection to enjoy food and unwind with family or friends after a long week at work. The room suits Swiss & Indian cuisine. Service is very nice and appropriately dressed. Very positively surprised and will definitely visit the restaurant again.

The food was very good and prepared with love

Today I had dinner with the family at the golden lamb. We were served very friendly and with a nice dose of humor, which immediately created a great feel-good atmosphere. For dinner I decided on a Surf & Turf: a great, large piece of beef fillet, fried medium rare just the way I love it. The whole thing was also cleverly seasoned. Then there was a skewer with 3 giant prawns in the typical butterfly cut, beautifully fried to perfection and juicy in a delicious, garlic-dominant seasoning. All in a strong pepper sauce that is definitely made from scratch. The sauce contained quite a few peppercorns, but they were rather mild, so the overall package harmonized perfectly. A few crunchy vegetables (carrot, celery, cauliflower & broccoli), lightly seasoned with salt, were on the side along with fantastically seasoned French fries. Compared to previous pictures, the dish today was much more valuable. For dessert there was a fresh, homemade strawberry mousse with strawberry sauce and cream. A fine interplay between sweetness and acidity at the end - airy and light! Fantastic 5/5, would love to come back often!

Well regarded restaurant. The food is fantastic and beautifully made. I've been with my friends and family and they love it too. The customer service is incredible. Totally recommended if anyone wants to go there.

The spontaneous decision to have dinner at the GOLDEN LAMM was the right one. Without a reservation, the two of us entered on a Sunday evening and were warmly welcomed. The landlord has Indian roots, cooks himself and everything that comes out of his pans is fresh, delicious and very tasty. No matter whether it's "good bourgeois" or Indian dishes. He understands his craft perfectly. His daughter, who is a trained dental hygienist and helps in the service to finance her upcoming language stay, has more skills than many trained waitresses. Compliment! I recommend the GOLDEN LAMM in Güttingen to anyone who wants to eat and be served excellently in a simple but clean setting. We'll definitely be back.

At first glance, a simple inn. The kitchen, however, deserves special praise! Very tasteful, super tasty and fresh! The salad and its dressing were particularly good. It's very rare that I actually finish a plate...

Wanted to go out to dinner for 5! After 50 minutes of waiting without being served, we left again. The restaurant was half full...

We wanted food and sat at the table unattended for 45 minutes... not even ordering a drink was possible... Card payment not possible...

We were in the Golden Lamb today, July 27th, 2021. First came the rice with our fish dish, which smelled extremely musty, then came the fish, which already smelled noticeably. When we asked the owner about it, he brought the packaging of a fish from a well-known dealer that was still in its packaging, but it had already expired for 15 days. When asked about this, many flowery stories came. We had to pay for everything in full, even though we hadn't eaten anything - and we did so grudgingly, as the landlord was adamant, always smiled and said we had strange taste and dismissed all guilt with a blissful smile. Be careful, nothing is as it seems.

Wer gerne Roulett spielt kann hingehen. Mir wurde ein Fisch serviert bei dem sogar die Nachbartische die Nase rümpften. Der Fisch stank so stark, dass es wirklich fraglich wie das ein Koch nicht riechen kann, ausser es wird vorsätzlich alter Fisch noch verarbeitet. Auch die dicke Sauce darüber konnte es nicht vertuschen. Wenn mein Fisch in der Wärme 3 Wochen aufgetaut ist stinkt er auch so.Aber das Beste ist, dass der Chef sich rausredet, der Kunde das Gefühl bekommt es ist seine Schuld und auch noch ein billiges Reisgericht zum teuren Fischgericht verrechnet wird. Hat dieser Inhaber/Koch wirklich eine Kochausbildung?

Super höflich, gute Bedienung, sehr gut gegessen. Bedienung sehr freundlich mit viel Humor. Essen Indisch sehr sehr lecker.

Waren gestern Abend 19 September im Restaurant ! Kurz nach 18 Uhr wollten wir einen Kaffe trinken ! Kaum hatten wir den Kaffe Kahm der Wirt auf die Terasse meinte der Tisch sei in zehn Minuten reserviert , ich sagte kein Problem wir trinken nur den Kaffe , und gehen wieder! Kaum wahr der Chef wieder im Restaurant kam die Serviertochter und sagte uns der Tisch sei in einer halben Stunde reserviert! Wir sagten der Chef habe gesagt in zehn Minuten ! Serviertochter ging ins Restaurant kaum drinn schoss der Wirt auf die Terrasse lahm zu uns und sagte ihr habt Restaurant verbot ,ging zurück ins Restaurant ohne Erklärung warum!!! Wahren nicht das erstemahl im Restaurant, wahren schon mehrmals zum Essen dort immer mehrere Personen ! ( Haben ihm also mehrmals genug Geld gebracht! ) Was uns aufgefallen ist wen du nur etwas trinken willst bist nicht willkommen !!! Jedes Mal wen wir nur etwas trinken wollten Kahm der Chef zu uns und sagte es ist Essenszeit und der Tisch sei in kürze reserviert geht gar nicht !!! Führ was hat er ein Restaurant wen Mann nur willkommen ist wen man etwas isst !!! Solche Restaurants sollte man meiden!!! Wir sind sehr enttäuscht das Essen währe gut . (Nur kleine Portionen ) Ein sehr enttäuschter Güttinger!!!!!

Wir waren eine grosse Familie mit 10 Personen (davon 5 Kinder). Der Service war freundlich. Auch der Chef begrüsste uns persönlich, da wir früh um 18:00 Uhr ankamen. Die diversen Gerichte waren: Cordon Bleu, Schweinsfilet mit Morcheln, Cesar Salat, pan. Schnitzel, Spätzlipfanne usw. Alle Gerichte schmeckten uns sehr gut. Auch die Glace anschliessend waren gut.Ein starker negativer Punkt sind die Kinderpreise!Ein paniertes Schnitzel (2 Stück) mit Pommes kostet CHF 24.00.Zwei Kinder waren erst 7 Jahre alt, diese bestellten auch pan. Schnitzel.Sie erhielten je ein Schnitzel, welches dann pro Kind CHF 20.00 kostete!Da hätte man gut eine Erwachsenen Portion teilen können. Trotz Reklamation kam man uns nicht entgegen. Der Service sagte uns nur, der Chef habe so entschieden. Fraglich, ob man da mit Kindern wieder hinkommt.

Nach mehrfachen Besuchen muss ich sagen das die Portionen vielfach zu klein sind.Heute hat der Koch den Vogel abgeschossen. 1 Portion Pommes für 8.50 fände ich in Ordnung.... Das Schüsselchen war nicht mal halb voll. Das Foto zeigt das ganze Portiönchen das mir serviert wurde. Als Grössenvergleich habe ich eine Schachtel Zigaretten darauf gelegt. Ganz ehrlich. Ich komme mir da einfach nur vollkommen verarscht vor.

Price performance wasn't right for me at all... After several visits I have to say that the portions are often too small. Today the cook shot the bird. I think 1 portion of fries for 8.50 would be fine... The bowl wasn't even half full. The photo shows the entire portion that was served to me. I put a pack of cigarettes on it as a size comparison. Honestly. I just feel completely fooled.

Wir waren 2 Paare und haben 4 verschiedene Gerichte bestellt. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und das Essen wurde prompt zubereitet. Die 4 Gerichte mundeten sehr gut. Der Chef begrüsste uns persönlich und wirkte sehr freundlich, auch im Umgang mit dem Personal. Wir können das gut bürgerliche Restaurant empfehlen.

Der Saibling war deutlich uebers Datum, der Chef wollte diskutieren... Geht gar nicht. Alternativ haben wir den Gemuesereis bestellt. Auf der Rechnung war der Seibling, der sei gleich teuer wie der Reis, naemlich 29.50. Ein Blick in die Karte zeigte, der Reis war 3 Franken billiger. Wir konfrontierten den Chef damit, er schob es auf die Bedienung ab, die uns vorher gesagt hatte, der Chef habe gesagt, sie solle Fisch berechnen, immerhin haetten wir davon gekostet.Absolutes No Go! Geht da nicht hin, nicht ehrlich und behandelt Angestellte ganz mies!

Mi esposa y tuvimos la suerte de tierra de esta pequeña joya, no todos lujos y lujoso, pero muy limpia, acogedora y cálida bienvenida, la comida y el servicio excelente.La habitación que nos dieron era pequeña, pero muy limpias y bien equipadas, todo lo que puedas esperar de una estancia corta parada, especialmente como llegamos tan tarde.
