Really worth a visit! The food and service are A1.

Beautiful, historic restaurant, fair prices for food and wine. Nice service. Cordon Bleu great. Tomato soup with non-alcoholic gin was very tasty, but I didn't notice anything about the gin.... Whatever. Dessert ok.

Today I was out and about in Grüningen... as I drove past I spotted a sign that said “Hot Stone”. Well, there isn't much of that in the region. I can only tell you one thing, I was thrilled. The service - uniquely friendly. Everything I ordered was served quickly, a culinary delight! The meat is of a unique quality, just as you would expect!!! The sauces are just amazing, the ambience speaks volumes, simply an insider tip in the region. If you want to experience gastronomy, you've come to the right place. Feel good and enjoy in an absolutely fantastic restaurant. Incredible! I'm excited. The hosts not only know their craft, they live and love it. I haven't felt so welcomed as a guest in a long time. The menu and offerings alone are fantastic. To round it off with Goethe…. From one of the most quoted works of German literature... ATTENTION: new tenants... ...and unfortunately they don't do a good job at all! The "mixed" salad consisted of a small handful of iceberg lettuce cut into cubes (only bitter, of course), 1 mini bushel of nut lettuce, 1 tablespoon of beetroot cubes from the bag, 1 halved slice of pickle, 1 sliced ​​dried tomato from the pack, 2 yellow onions & 1 teaspoon of capers ... Sorry, I really just have question marks. There was a splash of ready-made salad sauce on top and instead of a piece of bread there was a sesame grits on the plate. Unfortunately, no fresh ingredients such as carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers or even sprouts are used. This “mixed” salad cost over CHF 11.-!!! That's an absolute disgrace and it didn't taste good either! After an hour of waiting (with 3 tables occupied!), the 200g steak arrived on the hot stone for CHF 43.-. It didn't look bad at first, but unfortunately it was only lukewarm and already completely cooked through, which is not the idea. The sweet potato chips (plus CHF 8!) were of course from the freezer bag and only lukewarm. There were also 3 different ready-made sauces (cocktail, BBQ & mayo) from the CC on the serving board. Everything is simply inedible and an absolute rip off! NEVER AGAIN! It's a shame about the beautiful restaurant. :-(

During my trip abroad, our paths happened to cross at Steakhouse Hirschen in Grüningen Switzerland, and we had a great meal. The attentiveness of the waitress and chef is first class. I recommend it to everyone and wish the restaurant much success. 🇨🇭😋

Last night we had a really nice meal again, starter: tomato soup with gin/tartar so delicious [best presentation] Main course: Burger, Cheese & Cowboy excellent from bun to meat including side dishes. Crispy and so delicious! Even after a lot of visits, top quality and nice service😃

Today the nice waitress was missing, so the service only got 4 points ;-) Everything is excellent, the only thing missing is the customers who would liven things up. Why is that? I see no reason. Another visit on 11/4/23: Wow, this life and this hospitality! It was like before again. The deer was alive and the food - a game plate - was excellent. We started talking to the people sitting next to us who also eat at the restaurant regularly and are extremely satisfied. Keep it up! Everyone come back to the deer, it's phenomenal :-)

Fantastic restaurant in Grüningen. From the terrace you have a beautiful view. The food was delicious, I have nothing to complain about my chicken breast with Mango cream sauce (to die for!), vegetables (on point!) and Spätzli (mmmmmmmh, yummy). Unfortunately there was no room for dessert in my stomach, because the dessert options sounded all very tempting! The host and hostess both greeted us and were very friendly and attentive. Don't miss this restaurant if you are in the area. I will definitely visit again and try one of the six cordon bleu options!

Restaurant in picturesque Grünigen taken over by the new tenant couple. Very friendly conditions, finely cooked with an extensive selection. Very worthwhile!

A very pleasant visit to the restaurant - the service, food, wine selection and furnishings in this restaurant, which is located in a historic building in the town center, were a pleasure and completely convincing. The dishes are largely prepared with local or regional and seasonal products. You can order à la carte or any dishes from a 3/4/5 course menu. The wine selection is varied and the wine prices are very fair (a tap fee is added to the price offered across the alley). Parking spaces are available in front of the restaurant.

We spontaneously wanted to celebrate my mother's 49th birthday. We were warmly greeted as soon as we arrived. There was also a birthday card from the boss. the food was perfect. the service was perfect. That's how gastronomy works!

Amazing 4-course lunch for our wedding day. Karin and the team did wonderfully to accomodate us, with very last minute Covid restrictions changing our plans. Food and service was wonderful and the Hirschen Stube the perfect room. Can't wait to come back! Highly recommend.

Top Haute Cuisine in warmem Ambiente. Wild nach Wild mit delikater Zubereitung!

Mit der Familie wieder mal im malerischen Grüningen und erstmals im Hirschen. Schöne Gaststube, Kerzen, sehr apartes Geschirr aus Südafrika. Auch die Weinkarte setzt einen Schwerpunkt im afrikanischen Kontinent. Wir haben den Kyburg 33 absolut genossen - eine empfehlenswerte Assemblage aus Stellenbosch.Die legendären Tapas haben wir uns nicht entgehen lassen. Fein - aber nicht unvergesslich...!Die Wurzelsuppe war eher wässerig und fad, dafür das selbstgebackene Brot stimmig.Die Hauptgänge (Kalb, Wildteller ohne Wild und Saibling) hätten ebenso mehr Kraft und Pfiff vertragen! Das Gemüse sehr gut assortiert und delikat.Alles in allem ein schöner Abend mit grandiosen Weinen. Liebe Anregung an die Küche: mehr Akzente und Betonung der tadellosen Frischprodukte würden die Handschrift und die Farbe des Hirschen prägnanter gestalten!Gesamtbenotung würden wir mit "Gut" abgeben, also 3.5 Punkte mit viel Potential!

Wie immer herzlich empfangen und trotz gut besuchtem Restaurant rasch bedient mit Speise- und Weinkarte. Auch das 1. Getränk konnten wir kurz darauf geniessen. Unsere Vor- und Hauptspeisen der Herbst- und Wildsaison angepasst ein Gedicht. Auch der feine italienische Rotwein Ripasso Monte del Frà war sehr fein. Herzlichen Dank für die tolle Bewirtung.

Ambiente und Menue waren top. Als Gast beim 1. Besuch erwartete ich dass sich die Wirtin einige Min. Zeit nimmt für uns. Das traf leider nicht zu. Schade 🤒

Sehr gutes Essen. Es hat traditionelles, wie zur Zeit Wild, aus dem Zürcher Oberland! Und es hat aber verschiedene spezielle Sachen, die es sich lohnt zu versuchen. Mmmmhhh lecker! Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Ich komme gerne wieder, um noch die weiteren kreativen Speisen zu essen.

Wild der SasionAls Starter haben wir die verschiedene Tapas Variation bestellt.6 verschiedene Tapas zu 19.00 p/p gut aber keine Gastronomisches hig light.Wir haben 1x Rehrücken und 1x Hirsch Tagliata mit Steinpilzen bestellt.Je 6 Medaglion ... für ein Rehrücken nicht wirklich viel. Die Steinpilzen geschmacklos.Für mich enttäuschend....Die Bedingung nach dem Hauptgang praktisch nicht mehr präsent ... wir haben entschlossen das Dessert wo anders zu nehmen...leide

Sehr schöne Atmosphäre/Innenausbau. Service freundlich am Anfang aber am Schluss haben sie uns nicht mehr gross beachtet/bedient. Die Tapas waren gut aber zuwenig und zuteuer (2x19.00). Das Fleisch war zart aber mit 6 Stückli gar wenig (56.00). Auch die Beilagen waren sehr spärlich. Für das Geld einfach zuwenig erhalten. Haben mit getrübte Stimmung das Lokal verlassen.

Sehr feinfühlig abgeschmeckte Küche, dezent und liebevoll präsentiert. Service aufmerksam und professionell, gelassen und entspannt. Speisekarte in Anbetracht der aktuellen COVID Lage passend gestaltet, wünschte mir aber etwas mehr Kreative Auswahl. Weiter so, will come again.

War an einem Hochzeitsapero im "Hirschehüsli" und es war wunderschön, guter Apero mit feinen veganen Häppchen auf Wunsch des Bräutigams. Wurde in allen Belangen sehr positiv überrascht, sehr freundliche Bedienung, aufmerksam aber in keiner Art aufdringlich. Werde dieses Resti gerne weiterempfehlen.

Immer wieder einen Besuch wert. Das Restaurant ist immer der Saison entsprechend dekoriert und wirkt vom ersten Moment an einladend. Die Speisekarte ist klein aber dafür immer Saisonal und somit gibt es bei jedem Besuch etwas anderes zu essen:-) Mein absoluter Favorit sind die unglaublich leckeren Tapas. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend, freundlich und aufmerksam. Weiter so...:-)

5 Sterne sind absolut gerechtfertigt. Nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal, schöne Location, das feine Essen wird in schönem Geschirr angerichtet, Portionen (zB beim 3 Gang Menü) mehr als fair und die Qualität ist super! Mich wird man definitiv wieder im Hirschen antreffen.

Herzlich Empfangen und an einen wunderschön dekorierten 2er- Tisch geführt. Eine feine Vorspeise und ein toller Hauptgang begleitet von einem Amarone haben unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Zum Abschluss ein feines Dessert und einen Espresso was will man mehr. Herzlichen Dank!

Wir haben sehr gut gegessen und wurden äusserst aufmerksam bedient. Schönes Ambiente und tolles Geschirr. Toll auch das WfW Wasser! Das ist nicht nur sinnvoll, sondern auch umweltfreundlich.

Heute haben wir mit 12 Personen einen Geburtstag im Hirschen gefeiert.Wir waren in einem sehr hübschen Stübli einquartiert und konnten sogar à la carte essen. Die Speisekarte ist sehr abwechslungsreich, es hat für jeden etwas dabei.Die Speisen, sowie der Wein waren ausgezeichnet, das Servicepersonal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Wirtepaar hat eine sehr gute Qualität nach Grüningen gebracht. Wir waren alle begeistert und werden sicher wieder in den Hirschen zurückkommen.Ein herzliches Dankeschön an die ganze Crew für den wunderschönen Sonntag!

Wenn an einem Donnerstagabend der Gastraum voll ist und man nur zufriedene Gesichter sieht, dann spricht das eigentlich schon für sich...Der Service war freundlich und angenehm, die Atmosphäre stilvoll-gemütlich und das Essen war top! Meine Frau schwärmte von der Lachs-Vorspeise und vom Vegiburger und ich genoss den gemischten Salat und danach die ausgezeichneten Rindswürfel mit Risotto vom aktuellen Menu. Das Lebkuchen-Tiramisu zum Dessert hatte dann ebenfalls kein langes Leben.Es hat uns sehr gefallen im Hirschen!
