We had Christmas lunch here and really enjoyed it. The food was very good with large portions and enough choice. The banquet hall was beautifully decorated for Christmas and there was plenty of space between the tables. We would like to say a very special thank you to our employees. They were always friendly and well-positioned and contributed to a great atmosphere. Thank you for this great experience!

Homemade side dishes that you can conveniently order home. Modern cuisine with the best and fresh ingredients. Fine traditional Swiss cuisine. Uncomplicated.

The dinner was excellently prepared. The venison with many selected side dishes was delicious. Compliments to the young team - top job! The Löwen in Hausen am Albis is really recommended. We will definitely order again!

We went to the Löwen restaurant for dinner. The food was great and the portions were generous, praise to the kitchen! Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the service staff... they were friendly but inattentive. At first we were welcomed quickly and friendly. The water we ordered was sealed and just placed on the table. We were NEVER asked if we had any further wishes, not even after the meal if we would like a dessert. We always had to take the initiative, even when ordering further drinks. It should be noted that the restaurant was far from full and there were enough staff. After the media coverage of the 2-month vacation period for the entire team, I would have expected more motivated staff...

I had brunch on a birthday. Very nice service and absolutely delicious food. Maybe I'll try the Wild Buffet. Ambiance is a matter of taste. It suits the restaurant. The parking spaces in front of the house are also very positive.

The hygiene of the table left something to be desired as it was dirty and had broken pieces on it that didn't come from our group. The old coffee grounds could be smelled all the way to our table, which was very unpleasant. Despite my notification of a celery allergy, this was not taken into account by the staff, resulting in me having leftover celery on my plate and experiencing an allergic reaction. In a group of 12 guests, the drinks were simply placed on the table, with no service, and everyone had to take their own drink. The prices for the rather simple dishes were also quite high.

We were able to celebrate our wedding in the wine cellar on August 25th, 2023. We were very happy with everything and were able to enjoy the festival. The warm service was particularly well received by us. Thank you very much!

Really great food, average service, otherwise nothing to say

The “Calamares a la Romana” was already fully booked as a starter. So I asked if I could have a tartare as a starter since I didn't like the other starters. I was promised that this could be arranged. In addition, I would like the tartare to be prepared as spicy as the kitchen can (I know, adjusting the spiciness so that it is right for the guest is not that easy). I got a totally unseasoned tartare. There weren't even any additional spices included. I had to have some desires. On the bill, this starter cost just 2 francs less than the same tartare as a main course (apparently there is a rule in the restaurant that main courses that are ordered as a starter and cost no more than 30 francs only receive a deduction of 2 francs). But the quantity was probably only half. I could well imagine that because the person sitting next to me at the table ordered this as the main course. I understand that the starter may not cost half as much, but probably more than just 2 francs. The service staff must point this out when placing the order. Then I would have let it go. Enough blasphemy, it should also be praised: I found the "Riz Casimir" with melons and strawberries delicious and the "Schoggi Mouse" was also excellent. Particularly enjoyable was the slightly more permanent employee (with glasses), who always had a smile on his face and seemed to enjoy his work. Not like the employee who took the order.

When the weather was nice, we were able to enjoy a cozy spot in the beer garden on Sunday. An extremely friendly waiter served us quickly and courteously. We were able to enjoy the excellent cuisine with a glass of rosé. We enjoyed delicious schnitzel with plenty of salad, tender chicken schnitzel with fries and a richly garnished sausage and cheese salad. At the end, a cool ice cream dream was a must. The price-performance ratio was convincing, the plates were generously filled and, above all, everything tasted excellent! The Gasthof Löwen in Hausen - you have to remember it - you'll be happy to come back there (especially because of the delicious salad sauce...😋)

Lunch menu: Soup like washing up water, meatloaf/Spätzli, both were the same color, sauce was sour?? I had to return the roast beef plate, I think the meat was boiled. Instead I ordered tomato salad with burratamozzarella, which I received in a small bowl, pressed mushy. Apart from the fact that the waiter's daughter almost spilled the salad down my pants, it was service, oh well. Ambiance was good 👍

As always, we received very friendly service. It's fun every time. This time a special compliment to the kitchen. The cordon bleu variation with green asparagus, cheddar and black forest ham was fantastic. A great, special idea. Big compliment!

The food was a disappointment. The only good thing was the salad. There was only the choice between cordon bleu and asparagus. The hash browns were totally greasy. Plus the cordon bleu, also fried in fat. Not mine at all. Meat or fish would have been nice. Service was good. The children were promised a gift for coloring, but their pictures were then, without asking, crumpled up and thrown away when they were cleared away. After a long search, the gift was given upon request. For the price the restaurant was a disappointment. I took the menu and there was only Coupe Denmark for dessert. And I hate vanilla ice cream.

I've been to the Löwen several times and am thrilled every time. I always find the menu balanced between the classics or seasonal items (currently asparagus dishes) or other new dishes. The service staff is very attentive. My personal favorites are the white wine soup followed by the cordon bleu spare ribs (Huusemer or Chnobli).

Went to the Löwen for lunch today as a larger group. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared and seasonal. The service was very friendly, quick and accommodating. Beautiful selection of wines. We will be back!

Actually a good restaurant. But if you can't afford Heinz ketchup, it will be difficult to order cordon with fries. Maybe you can bring 5 liters of Heinz ketchup as a guest

We were there for dinner on Mother's Day. It was all very fine. It's a shame that it wasn't refilled. One or the other would certainly have had a bit of space. The dining room was beautifully decorated, bright and spacious. The children have also been thought of with a playroom. The only downside was the dogs allowed in the dining room. Otherwise, we would like to thank you for the very friendly and fast service and will come back.

Beautiful location with a cozy atmosphere. Very nice outdoor area behind the house, cool bar in the basement. It has enough parking spaces in front of the house and can also be easily reached by OEV from Zurich (by bus via Triemli). The service and food are excellent.

Extremely friendly service, nice restaurant. The main course was good but the portions were on the really small side. The biggest disappointment was the asparagus cream soup. 14.—for a thin, green broth without croutons, cream toppings, or spare pieces. The Coupe Romanov had probably been sitting somewhere for a while because it was already falling apart. Expected a little more.

I can only recommend lunch at Löwen. Service was very polite and the food was also very good. Again and again. Nowadays it's nice to have a restaurant like this with the entire package where everything is right from A - Z.

We celebrated a big birthday in a small circle. As always, the food was fresh, tasty and beautifully prepared. But what was really incredibly outstanding this time? The service by the waiter Marco. You can't do your job better or friendlier. Courteous, a little joke on the lips and at the end sung at the top of their lungs for the person celebrating their anniversary. A big compliment to him. Thank you very much for a successful evening!

We spontaneously went to eat at Löwen on Monday evening. It was already after 9 p.m. We were still given a very friendly welcome and were allowed to choose from the entire menu. The food was excellent. I had Zürigschnätzlets (Züricher Geschnetzeltes) with beautifully golden-yellow Rösti. The meat was of the best quality, very tender and cooked to perfection. Wonderful! A very good glass of wine by the glass rounded off my very good meal. In summary: Everything was very nice, very very friendly, pleasant atmosphere. I really enjoy coming back here.
