The Cordon Bleu (medium size about 180g) was delicious. I had one that was only available temporarily with brie cheese and walnuts! It is juicy and tasty. Unfortunately, the portion of fries is too small and they are very thin, so they get cold quickly. Seasoned country fries would be more appropriate! There is some parking, but we were there at an off-peak time in the afternoon. What was annoying was that it was being vacuumed while we and other guests were waiting for the food (you can also do this in the morning before it opens). The service was friendly. However, the waiting times for all you can eat chicken wings are too long - you had time to vacuum. The ambience is rustic and fits the rural area at the foot of the Albis Pass. We would love to come back and hope there will be more fries and/or country fries 😉

Good cordon bleu, good all you can eat chicken wings. The chicken wings could have been seasoned a little more as standard, but unfortunately the last round was a little over-fried and slightly burnt. Friendly service.

The Landgasthof Löwen at the foot of the Albis is beautifully located, both inside and out, very nice and well maintained. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly. There was a greeting from the kitchen (spring rolls), which I thought was a nice gesture! The nut salad was very tasty and fresh. The Cordon Bleu was good, but I found it lacking in spice but that's a matter of taste. Finally, a delicious iced coffee. Price/performance 👍 I can recommend the inn! Thank you very much for the lovely evening

We ate chicken with discretion as a family. We were greeted very friendly by the older waiter. After the first round, we ordered 2 x 6 wings. The food was very good and the service was also very attentive. Unfortunately, there were 3 wings left. When my wife asked me to please give them to us, the boss replied: No, not possible with discretion... We thought this was meant ironically and paid. But unfortunately nothing happened. When leaving the restaurant, my son asked the waiter whether the wings had been provided. The answer was after a quick look in the kitchen; no, they were thrown away.. So it makes more sense to throw away food than to give it to the guest? I would understand the boss's behavior if we had ordered too much and there were still 10 wings left... but the visit had a disappointing end. It's a shame.

We came with the whole family for an easy Saturday lunch. The strength here is the cordon bleu, but you will find other typical Swiss dishes. We had a lovely table outside, but I also liked the interior dining rooms, which should be great in the winter. Service is very friendly and attentive (based on the single waiter working there this day). The traditional cordon bleu was delicious, very tasty and well prepared (normal portion is already large). We also had the Zurich geschnetzeltes (nice), the Wiener schnitzel (good, but could have a bit more salt) and the fish nuggets for the kids. I didn’t look at the wine list this time, but they had some options by the glass. Overall a great option for lunch if you are in the area.

Top attentive and friendly service. First class cuisine. Beautiful country inn with plenty of parking spaces, but caution is advised when crossing the street. Also suitable for traveling by public transport, as the stop is right next door. Open especially for company. Four-legged friend got water first. Always my pleasure!!!!

Absolutely courteous staff and boss, fulfills every wish in the best possible way. The white wine risotto was a poem for the palate. Perfectly seasoned! The cordon bleu is beautifully delicate and yet perfectly done. The ambience invites you to linger and you feel valued and welcome as a guest. Price performance absolutely correct. Even though it's a longer journey, we'll definitely be back :)

I highly recommend the beef fillet stroganoff! So finely prepared! A culinary delight! Best quality at reasonable prices! The service was courteous and very warm and friendly, which is something you find less and less these days. The location of the restaurant is perfect if you are hungry or thirsty after a tour of the nearby wildlife park. In short, a successful excursion with wonderful culinary highlights!

I just ate chicken wings in Chörbli with fries. Unfortunately, I noticed that they were fried for too long and were therefore overly crispy. I asked the waiter to bring three more and fry them for less time, but there was no improvement. After I reported this to the waiter, all I received was a callous response. I would have expected at least a word of apology or understanding, but obviously this was just an ordinary situation for her. If the waiter had just offered a coffee or something else to accommodate me, I probably would have ignored the problem. Instead, no one bothered to do anything and that's why I decided this experience deserved a negative review. Hotels and restaurants that love their work and treat customers with respect should be praised, but those that don't even care about their service quality clearly deserve to be avoided. I will never enter this restaurant again and will only talk negatively about it from now on. This should be a lesson for the operator and should hopefully give motivation to respect the guests better from now on

I really love this place - cordon bleu as its finest. I also really recommend to taste tomato soup - the best one I've ever eaten. The prices are reasonable for these huge portions. Service is always friendly. Decorations and atmosphere of the place are really warm and friendly - I really like the big tiled stove in one room :)

A great country inn. The menu offers a lot and what we have had so far has always been great. The highlight are the chicken wings in the basket, they have become a tradition and are by far the best. The staff is friendly, competent and always in a good mood. We go to dinner more and more often and are happy to see the familiar faces there. The restaurant is very consistent and incredibly tasty. We are already looking forward to the next time. It is even possible to pick up the food and it tastes worth it there too. Even in summer, the cozy outdoor area, which is close to nature, offers a good opportunity to linger after a feast. The parking options are also great.

Below average food combined with poor service and high prices...

The reason why I visited the Landgasthof Löwen is because of the cordon bleu. In Switzerland, the cordon bleu is a religion. In every canton, in every town, and I would say in every village, there's the "best" cordon bleu place. I don't want to sound sacrilegious, but the cordon bleu the Landgasthof Löwen offers its client is the best I have tried. I am a big fan of this breaded, stuffed, fried slice of yummy meat. I am in love with all the variants the lovely Swiss folks provide to the rest of humanity. I recently visited Landgasthof Löwen with my family and some friends. We were four adults and three children, and we all had a great time. Even if you can opt for the all-you-can-eat chicken wings that don't sound so Swiss, the Landgasthof Löwen menu mainly offers traditional Swiss food, such as the cordon bleu and the Schnitzel in all their variants. The ingredient quality is excellent, and the portions are generous. For my first experience at the Landgasthof Löwen, I tried the BERNER cordon blue with raclette cheese, bacon cubes and onions. It was delicious! A big challenge for my stomach to face, though. Primarily because of the onions that, in my opinion, don't add any value to the recipe. It was the "normal size", and it was gigantic. The service was polite, and the prices were on average. The only downsides were that the furniture was a bit old and needed renovation and the parking space on the other side of the street was not the best if you had to cross it with excited children. All in all, it was a cool experience.

We had a birthday party (22 people) upstairs in the hall on Saturday and were very happy with everything. The hall is very nice and we were able to celebrate extensively with music. The food (salad, Codonbleu with spaetzli, fries, vegetables and sorbet) was top, the service was great, the organization was professional. Our service, Ramon, did his job very well. He repeatedly consulted with me about the next steps and asked several times if everything was okay. I really appreciated that. We also felt very comfortable during the preliminary meeting with the boss Marco, he took his time and gave us good advice. The humanity was very evident throughout the entire team. Very nice all around. Good menu, good service and, if you visit during warm weather, you may get lucky and get a seat outdoors where you can hear the fresh Alpine stream run. Recommend the venison when it’s in season. Also the Black Crystal Appenzeller beer is delish!

It's a shame that the service presents itself like this - yes, I have to work. There were five of us. We would have liked to have a dessert but all the cards were sticky and some red certificate was stuck to the cards. That's not possible... What a shame

Liverli with rösti, salad with chicken, stroganoff with spaetzli, everything was excellent. And that on a Sunday, when almost all restaurants are closed. The service was friendly and the waiting time was short. Included in the price was the beautiful terrace, which was dried out again shortly after a downpour. Plus beautiful white tablecloths with fabric napkins. What more do you want?

We were out again during the week and why always go far away when you can have something good closer and we have driven past this place so many times and this time we got serious, called and a Mr. Müller had the phone answered all my questions in a very friendly manner and organized a really great table for us in the middle of the room on the first floor. So the first contact was very pleasant and we were happy to come there for the first time. The fact that I got the wrong soup at the beginning wasn't so bad because I or we had a lot of time and enjoyed watching the people around us in the meantime until I got the right soup. Little by little, to our astonishment, the upper floor felt like it was down to the last table and the two waiters literally had their hands full and I was definitely surprised that the kitchen not only kept up with the orders somewhat but very well. Our food was really very tasty, but it was far too hot for what we are used to because we don't understand that you get such hot food on the table that you have to wait until you can start eating, but otherwise we were very happy satisfied and also the parking situation, although on the other side of the very busy and fast-moving Albisstrasse, should not be underestimated, but there are probably still parking spaces even if the restaurant is full. Since we signaled that we had time, other people who came after us and had already finished left before us and we enjoyed the whole thing a bit and also enjoyed the beautiful ambience on the upper floor with the beautiful wood. Despite the fact that it had carpets, the level was really very loud and, of all places, there were dogs at two tables next to us, but after a while they behaved well and so you could at least lean over the table quite well entertained and the prices were also reasonable as you can see here with the bill and so we happily walked back across the very busy road to our car and I think especially if you like chicken wings, which a lot of people ate there, You should go there because apparently it must be very good, but we had other dishes and were happy with them

Very nice authentic restaurant. Autumn "wild" menu is amazing! I need to update my review after another visit a few weeks ago. I think that their seasonal menu was great, this time we were eating regular food (cordon blue etc.), which was ok but not five stars restaurant.

Last night in the wintry snow: chicken wings, Wienerschnitzel and veal cordon bleu as well as menu salad were absolutely top! Finally, of course, a caramel bowl!! Pure enjoyment! Friendly and attentive service. Not the first time for us, this needs to be written. - The fact that our grandson had the opportunity to complete a 3-day trial apprenticeship as a chef was the icing on the cake. He told us about these three days full of enthusiasm. He has experienced and learned a lot. Above all, he was very impressed by the friendliness and willingness to help of all the employees. We, the grandparents, would also like to say a big thank you at this point!! Keep it up!

In the Leue, in the "Löwen", which nestles gently against the Albisberg with its 500-year-old walls, the dish "Poulet in a Körbli" tastes delicious in all imaginable tones. Sitting next to the old wood stove or having a rest at the regulars' table - the guest simply feels at home here!

Very friendly service and super nice owner and boss. The tent outside was so lovingly, cozy, warm and atmospherically furnished that the atmosphere was very quiet. The many heaters were also great and made it warm and cozy in the tent. The food was very delicious and the amusebouche as a surprise starter was delicious and accommodating! After a very long, unwanted break, we managed to go to the Lion again yesterday. In the beautiful garden we looked forward to a good dinner in the usual way that we have enjoyed so many times. The menu was the first thing we noticed. So now I also get the Cordon Bleu at Löwen, just like at three other restaurants on the short way to Löwen. Why? But at least the chicken wings and tartare are still on there. But we were disappointed with the salad. What used to appear as a fresh and crunchy salad enriched with sprouts and edible decorations is now a completely normal cut salad, some with brown edges. A pity. The service was friendly and always tried to do its best. But salad needs bread and tartare needs butter, you shouldn't have to ask for that. It's little things, I know, but that's what I was used to with the lion.

We went to the “Lion Pack” for the first time yesterday and the country inn is simply great. Beautiful garden and beautiful furnishings. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the food is simply great and the price is right too. I can only recommend it to everyone. PS: The location would also be very suitable for events or a visit to the wildlife park nearby! TOP restaurant.

Good simple Swiss food, hearty portions, all-you-can-eat chicken wings, good beer, cheerful informal service, great desserts. It ain't sophisticated, I wouldn't bring my gourmet aunt here, but I'd totally bring a bunch of hungry friends with hearty appetites for a good time with plenty of beer. Warning: don't order the "mega" sizes unless you're SERIOUSLY hungry.

It is an old and typical Swiss restaurant in a beautiful building internally covered in wood and with lots of antique furniture. The environment is comfortable and service is very kind and almost multilingual. Menu is of various meat, chicken and vegetable dishes. I recommend a local soup and the bifstroganoff were not bad either. We also tried the beer with cannabis!! Prices are in the Swiss average

Tonight on the motorbike looking for a country inn that is open on Mondays. Here we found what we were looking for. Friendly service, beautiful terrace, covered in white. And a great card. The tartare was rich and very delicately seasoned. The wine list was also impressive. We would love to come back here for the legendary chicken wings.

Bekannte haben uns das tolle Ambiente im Löwen gerühmt. Wir reservierten einen schönen Tisch für unser Hochzeitsjubiläum. Als wir in der Gaststube an unseren Kantinentisch mit Plastic-Tischset und Papierserviette geführt wurden, staunten wir aber ein Bisschen. Erst als wir uns umschauten, realisierten wir, dass die Gäste im Stübli und im oberen Stockwerk an weiss gedeckten Tischen mit Stoffservietten sassen. Wir passten unser Menü darauf auch auf Cordon bleu und Zweigelt an. Wir hoben uns damit immer noch markant von der A-discretion-Pouleflügeli-Fraktion mit Bier und kurzen Hosen ab. Tipp: Unbedingt im oberen Stock oder im Stübli reservieren. Das Essen war durchaus ok, aber das Ambiente hat uns den Abend komplett versaut.
