Hospitality is very important here and the culinary experience is simply outstanding. From the first moment we felt warmly welcome at the Gasthof Löwen. The ambience is charming and authentic, creating a relaxed atmosphere that is perfect for a leisurely dinner. The staff is extremely attentive and always tries to accommodate the guests' every need. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food. The Gasthof Löwen's menu presents an impressive selection of regional delicacies, prepared with attention to detail. Each dish reflects the freshness and quality of the ingredients, and the presentation is a feast for the eyes. We particularly recommend the [local special dish], which took us into the rich culinary tradition of the region. The wine list is as impressive as it is diverse and offers an excellent selection of regional and international wines. The service staff was extremely competent and gave us excellent recommendations to top off the evening with the right wine pairings. In addition to all of this, we were impressed by the value for money at the Gasthof Löwen. The quality of the food and drinks is balanced in relation to the prices, which makes the visit even more of an all-round successful experience. Our stay at the Gasthof Löwen in Fraubrunnen was a culinary trip in a class of its own that far exceeded our expectations. As always, very fine food and top service staff. Unfortunately, there are very long waiting times of 2 hours for the main course (noticeable lack of skilled staff in the kitchen and service, I suspect), so allow enough time. It's still worth a visit. We will be back.

I had dinner with my family. Everything was very tasty and prepared with a lot of love. The Italian salad dressing was also exceptionally fine. There was a painting set for the kids and the playground next door is also perfect. Service is top and the ambience is also wonderful. We'll definitely come again if there's no terrace weather :-) warm greetings to the whole Löie team!

Four of us went here for a weeknight dinner in July. Although there were only about five occupied tables outside, we had to wait a long time for our food after the salad starter. After more than 45 minutes we realized that we had been forgotten. The fish course (zander) was tasty, but two people ordered the horse entrecote, which was extremely tough. Very frustrating after such a long wait! There wasn't much of a reaction to the feedback (and no coffee was bought or anything like that). The young staff were friendly, but seemed inexperienced. Unfortunately the evening wasn't right for us at that price - a shame!!

We were here for a cool party with the boys. We were able to forge grilled skewers in advance and then enjoy a great grill buffet. The dessert was also great.

To have a Z’Vieri on the terrace, we each ordered a cheese platter with fruit bread and dried fruits at Löie. We received four small pieces of different cheese, a dried fig, other fruits, butter and pieces of bread. When we asked where the fruit bread was, they pointed to the dried fig and said it was the fruit bread. We discovered a hair on a pear (that can happen) and pointed it out to the staff when we were clearing it away (that's why we left the pear behind). The very friendly waitress apologized for this. In the end we still paid the full price, which was rather expensive for the selection. Conclusion: Very nice service but unfortunately no accommodation and rather poor price-performance ratio. Addendum/Answer: Thank you for your detailed answer. Unfortunately, her answer causes me to take away another star. We only had four instead of five types of cheese and together they weighed a maximum of 100g (see photo: one type of cheese had already been eaten, so only the rind was visible). They took care of everything except the missing fruit bread... After rational consideration, it seems to us, even after your answer, that it confirms the fact that you did not have all the ingredients for this small cheese plate and we wished that you had informed us of this beforehand or adjusted the prices. Not to mention the hair on the bulb. The fact was the pear couldn't be eaten... which wasn't the only thing...

The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food was exceptionally delicious. From the amuse bouche to the dessert, everything was terrific. I just didn't like the coffee at all, but that's definitely a matter of taste. The “pralines” that came with it were so delicious 😋 The atmosphere is very inviting. My husband found the bench seat a bit too hard, which he felt in his back. All in all, I can recommend the restaurant

Based on a recommendation, we visited the Löie in Fraubrunnen on December 9th, 2022. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were very pleasantly surprised by the friendliness with which we were greeted. The very friendly service led us through the restaurant to our table. We were able to examine the beautiful Christmas tree and all the subtle Christmas decorations. Not only did we receive a menu, but there was an offer box on the table which contained the entire Löien offering, menu, drinks menu and dessert menu. The subtle logo is also reflected in its design here. And now we were also able to enjoy the house's fine cuisine. Starting with the aperitif recommendation, the wine that was matched to our menu selection, including the house's own mineral and its glasses, you can feel that experts with passion work in this house. The starters, two types of pumpkin with Heimiswiler pike-perch and the chestnut chili soup with herb dumplings and very interesting combinations tasted very much like the greetings from the kitchen. And the further improvement was served to us with the chosen saddle of venison for two people. First the saddle of venison was presented to us in one piece. As is well known, this is served in two courses, which we were made aware of during the presentation. We were allowed to choose our side dishes for each course. The meat was cooked to perfection, a fillet couldn't be served better. The side dishes were visually and taste-coordinated and varied - 12 different vegetables in two courses - rounded off this enjoyment The taste experience was enhanced by the finely balanced sauces. And just like with a complete menu, we also treated ourselves to a small dessert. Appropriate for this time of year, we were recommended the homemade chestnut ice cream. Again, a taste explosion. All in all, we can also recommend this house very positively. Here you can feel that a crew of professionals work with heart and love and understand their craft. We would like to say thank you very much for this unforgettable culinary evening

For me, the “Löie” in Fraubrunnen is one of the best restaurants in German-speaking Switzerland. I've been making the 45-minute journey to the restaurant occasionally for almost two years now and haven't been disappointed at all. 😊 On the contrary... I was always surprised and impressed with a new idea. The dishes are prepared 1A and served with love. The service is also very friendly, accommodating and responds to the guests' wishes. We recently moved to Fraubrunnen and are now exploring the village's culinary offerings. We really enjoyed our visit to the Gasthof Löwen. The food is of excellent quality and tastes great even warmed up the next day. Emphasis is placed on sustainability and regional products. The service was very friendly and our children also felt comfortable. The slightly higher price is justified by the quality of the food. The restaurant offers its own wine, its own beer and, to my delight, its own whiskey. I was thrilled with everything and am happy to welcome a bottle of Fraubrunner whiskey into my liquor cabinet😀. Gladly again...

It was great. There is a surprise menu. Ingredients are used that are left over and would otherwise be thrown away. We took this menu and it was very tasty and beautifully presented. There were 3 courses and also a small greeting from the kitchen and a praline. The staff was very friendly. We were very satisfied and can highly recommend it!

We were there with our motorhome on March 5th, 2022 and were able to enjoy an absolutely amazing meal in the motorhome. We have been to many motorhome dinners, but this is by far the best and friendliest we have experienced and a hat to the boss for what he has already achieved with a lot of charm and ambition at a young age. His employees and Jeannine Hiliker are absolutely great.
