Gaststube in Küsnacht (ZH)

Overpriced, completely fried, small pieces of perch fillet/very little fish and fries or potatoes for CHF50. No vegetables with it. Don't understand the good reviews. Ok, in the price I pay for the location of the sun terrace on the lake. But there is a lot of room for improvement in terms of quality... Service otherwise good.

Very fine food. Very courteous service. Very short waiting times. In short: I'll go there again!

Family reunion after a two year break. The seven of us ate in the restaurant on Sunday lunchtime, November 28th, 2021. The atmosphere was excellent, the food was excellent and the hosts were very attentive. Overall, a very successful family event. We are coming again next year.

Excellent restaurant with a top hotel right on the lake. Beautiful gardens. What is particularly worth mentioning is the cozy hotel bar. Not cheap, but top quality. Tasteful detailed decorations, adapted to the seasons. In winter, the ice rink right on the lake, with beautiful decorations and fondue fun.

Ich esse immer gerne hier zu Mittag, wenn ich in der Region bin. Bin immer sehr zufrieden. Gutbürgerliche Küche aber modern interpretiert.

Ich habe vor ein paar Tagen in der Gaststube zu Mittag gegessen, um den Abschluss meines Gymnasiums durch meinen Sohn zu feiern. Meine Familie und ich haben es einfach geliebt. Wenn Sie das stimmungsvolle Restaurant betreten, können Sie die jahrhundertealte Geschichte mit wertvollen Gemälden spüren, die sie mit zeitgenössischem und zeitlosem Innendekor verbinden. Der ganze Ort ist sehr gemütlich und wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen, vor allem, weil der Kellner uns mit Namen begrüßte, was in vielen Restaurants recht ungewöhnlich ist. Das Essen war von höchster Qualität und es gab eine gute Auswahl an vegetarischen Gerichten. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Jährlich treffen wir uns mit Freunden zum Fondue Chinois in der Sonne in Küsnacht. Das Servicepersonal ist bemüht. Das Essen war mittelmässig.. die Logik wir müssen das Trutenfleisch erst aufessen bevor wieder Kalb oder Rindfleisch serviert wird sonst gibt es einen Aufschlag von fr. 7 pro Person ist uns nicht klar.. ist das Ganze ja à discretion. Auch sassen wir oft vor kalten Rechaud.. bis der Kellner kam... Nun dann wars das wohl mit unserem jährlichen Besuch..

Ich war gestern mit meinen 2 Kolleginnen was Essen. Bevor wir ins Restaurant gingen hatte eine Kollegin extra an der Rezeption wegen Fondue gefragt. Ihr wurde mitgeteilt das es Käse und Chinoise geben würde und wir hatten uns darauf gefreut. Als wir ins Restaurant kamen mussten wir extra nochmals wegem Fondue nachfragen und sie sagten es gibt nur Chinoise. Also hab ich dann was von der Karte bestellt. Die Vorspeise war gut nur es fehlte die Information dass es Nüsse im Salat gibt. (Für Allegiker nicht toll) Der Hauptgang war dann enttäuschend, ich hatte ein Kalbsfleischcordonbleu mit Pommes bestellt das leider nicht ganz durch war. Die 1. Reaktion der "Chefin" (wie ich vermute) ging gar nicht. Sie hatte nicht mal das Fleisch angeschaut und gemeint es wäre bloss der Schinken der so Rosa ist! Dann musste ich es nochmals erwähnen das mein Fleisch nicht durch ist. Danach wurde mein Essen in die Küche gebracht und anscheinend nochmals durchgegart. Darauf musste ich nur 4min Warten. Ich habe das Fleisch nur angeschnitten und gesehen das es immer noch leicht Roh ist. Die Pommes wurden bloss unter dem Pass oder Salamander warmgehalten. Das schmeckte man weil sie extrem trocken waren. Ich finde es eine frechheit das sie nicht mal frische Pommes gemacht haben! Danach konnte ich wenigstens was anderes Bestellen (diesmal kein Fleisch! Weil ich nicht nochmals die enttäuschung erleben mochte) Die 2. Hauptspeise (nach 25min) war auf jedenfalls besser nur ich wartete den ganzen Abend auf eine Entschuldigung. Es wurden nur nach Gründen gesucht warum es nicht gut war aber kein einziges Mal es tut uns leid das es passiert ist. Am schluss kam nochmals die "Chefin" und fragte was sie noch tun können das wir glücklich rausgehen. Wir beschlossen noch ein Dessert zu nehmen. Ich nahm eine Kugel Stracciatella ohne Rahm. Die Kugel war extrem klein für den Preis. Als wir die Rechnung bekamen wurde nicht mal als entschädigung die kleine Kugel Eis als Entschuldigung offeriert. 1 Servicefrachfrau war ne Deutsche die war die einzigste die uns gut umsorgt hat und geschaut hat das wir mit einem Lächeln gehen! Das ist für mich einfach das Geld nicht wert! Einmal und nie wieder!

Zauberhafte Schlittschuhbahn am See vor dem Hotel Sonne. Sehr gute Küche in der Bauernstube. Sehr freundlicher, zuvorkommender Service.

On Monday there were three of us in the restaurant to enjoy a fondue Chinoise à Discretion. Service and salad buffet are very good. The reason that it is enough for two stars. Ambience special, quite impressive. The meat fondue was actually frozen, pre-cut meat from the retailer. Very bad quality. The platter of meat was dripping with blood from thawing. If you skewer the meat, it breaks down into fibrous components. All three of us had indigestion the whole night, something we've never experienced before. It's a shame that this is allowed to happen in such a large restaurant property. Disappointing. Hopefully the operators will think about it and focus on quality in the future.
