We only went there twice for an aperitif. Generous accompaniment to a glass of wine! Very appealing menu! Friendly staff, nice pastry shop. We'll be back.

Simply perfect mountain ambience with chic alpine decor. Service is impeccable and amazingly friendly. I had the Hirsch and rotkraut and amazing risotto! All was so good I’ll definitely be back. Great for a girls catch up or a romantic evening. Reservation recommended.

Incredibly cozy atmosphere, great food, nice staff. Staying here is really fun. Unfortunately, we were only able to stop in for lunch a few times because we had half board in our hotel in the evenings :-) Fortunately, the game sausages are available all day. Really delicious, absolute recommendation! We still know the old tea room. What was made of it is really great and a highlight in Pontresina! We would like to come again.

This place is a true gem. We always like to come back here any time of the day. The food is delicious, the service is impeccable and friendly. I am looking forward to coming here next time.

Just top. I wish all staff would be so friendly and customer oriented in Engadin! Had the most amazing salad with minced deer and my daughter the most delicious noodles with deer ragout! Cakes look devine! All just perfect.

Creative and high-quality food with attentive and uncomplicated service. The map was a bit complicated for my taste as you have to select each component separately. Vegetarian is possible, but manageable.

Few places were open in Pontresina at late afternoon in November well before the winter season starts. Gianottis Wilderei had amazing food, freshly prepared and with variety tastes I often miss in Switzerland. And when the espresso you ordered last crowns the dinner, you know a return is desirable 😀

Pleasant setting and pleasant service. Went just for wine and beer but was surprised by some nice hors deouvers along with. Desserts in the afternoon look popular here. Easy parking in nearby municipal parking lot. Looks like an extensive dinner menu with typical Swiss prices.

The kitchen brigade works perfectly coordinated. Service attentive, great! The meat from the grill; a dream, with the spices served as the crowning glory, the salad dressing; a pleasure. The beer and wine, excellent! Just wonderful.

A must for every meat and wine lover. The perfect combination for a great evening. The food is very good. The service is good, unfortunately last time I ordered something that was recommended to me by the waiter, my mistake, I didn't ask for the price and ended up feeling it in my wallet... but it would still have been nice if I had been made aware of it . The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, you feel very comfortable straight away. Whether just for a glass of wine or with dinner, definitely recommended. Great value for money!

Perfect coffee and cake, great service!

Was there today. The restaurant was barely full. I was assigned a place. Wanted to enjoy espresso and cake. That just didn't happen. I sat and sat and sat and was neither noticed nor served. I then left the location again after a while without having distorted anything. Weak in my opinion.

It's great that the warm kitchen is always open, no matter what time of day, whether it's lunchtime or three in the evening. For the tourists it is just a treasure: skiing or hiking, you can always go in and eat something warm. And in winter this place has no price! And they cook great. For game meat lovers, this place is a paradise! Large selection of wines. Everything deserves a revisit.

I would advise against visiting during peak times. The coffee is drinkable.

It has a great ambience and makes you feel like you are in a bar and in your living room by the fire at the same time. Me and my friend shared the 400 gramm rib eye steak and I have to say that that was rather too little for two people. So if you are going to get it be sure to both get a bigger side dish. Though the taste of the steak was immaculate. I really enjoyed the assortment of herbs that come with the dish too. The steak was perfectly grilled and there was nothing that could have made it better. I was a little disappointed that they do not serve french fries, so I chose the baked potato with creme cheese. That was delicious too and the potato was perfectly cooked. As a dessert I choose the chocolate soufflé. that again was arranged in a very cute way and was served in a little flower pot. The portion was rather small but the cake was great. The chocolate wasn’t too intense and it wasn’t too sweet as other soufflés tend to be. My friends and I all enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere a lot. The staff was very forthcoming and nice too. Most of it speaks Italian as expected of Pontresina. All in all it was a lovely evening and if you like meat this is a place worth checking out.

One of my favorite restaurant bars in the entire upper Engadine (Pontresina). Intimate, refined, of high quality in every aspect and suitable for lunches or dinners alike (note: from 12:00 onwards, unlike most people, the kitchen does not close), Gianotti's offers environments made of stone, wood and wrought iron, where can appreciate excellent seasonal cuisine where meat and side dishes are the absolute protagonists. There is no shortage of quality desserts and wines, professional and welcoming service, and any connoisseurs will be able to appreciate a well-thought-out and not at all banal selection of grappas and whiskies. Reservation not necessary but recommended (perhaps for a seat next to the large windows), will satisfy you.

Recommended under every aspect. We felt welcome. Received a suitable wine recommendation and had an excellent meal. Fish, beef and game, everything was perfect. And the dessert selection is too varied for one evening. Perfectly accompanied by lit wit and charm.

They passed off a salami to us as a sausage. A plate of pasta with tomato sauce paid for like a plate of pizzoccheri. An experience I wouldn't repeat

Great restaurant in Pontresina. Super friendly and attentive service, we were treated to our complete satisfaction. Had various starters, main courses and desserts. Everything was super clean, with a nice wine cellar and smoking launch in the basement.

This was a great restaurant. The price range is similar to other places around the area but the service and food quality stands out. The staff and the owner were very friendly and welcoming. I ordered a deer dish, there was plenty of high quality deer meat in it and tasted great. Highly recommended!

Great meal, though sadly rather unfriendly service (with the exception of the very kind gentleman at the door when we first arrived). Looks like most people tend to have a better experience. Just kind of a shame, but thankfully we could mostly shrug it off and enjoy a nice dinner.

Perfection is the word that comes to mind when describing this restaurant. The food is incredible, the owner is my favorite and his brothers chocolate shop next door is not to be missed. If I could, I would eat here everyday.

Mouthwatering cakes, and those cookies that came with our hot chocolate, unbelievable! They also have beautiful hand-painted pralines, which I've seen before but never in a store facing the street.

We were able to enjoy our dinner between two seatings (an appointment became available at short notice). The waiter is competent, but was also a bit arrogant. Food and wine were excellent. Unfortunately there wasn't enough time for dessert. Price-performance in the upper segment, but right.

It was Friday evening, October 15th, the evening when the Covid app didn't work and the boss welcomed us very friendly and said as a joke if the certificate didn't work, "he wishes us a nice evening" laughed and immediately asked us to the table . Afterwards, the service introduced us to the menu and wine list in a very friendly and competent manner and at the same time asked us whether we could have an aperitif. For me it was a glass of white wine, my partner chose a non-alcoholic cocktail. For starters we ate a buratta with cherry tomatoes and pesto as well as a leaf salad with passion fruit sauce. For the main course we have a perfectly fried entrecote with rosemary potatoes with chimmy churry sauce and a very creamy and extremely tasty risotto with green apple. The boss recommended a glass of red wine from Switzerland. For dessert there was a piece of homemade chestnut cake, which if you were served you would think OK, just a piece of cake without anything, but I can assure you that you don't need anything at all. The cake was simply the best piece in terms of taste, consistency and moisture Cake that I have ever eaten. My partner chose the chocolate soufflé with I think it was hazelnut ice cream. This dessert was also excellent. Finally, I ordered an espresso and a Williams, and the waiter recommended a rum that was specially made. I followed the recommendation and, like the other recommendations, I wasn't disappointed, in fact it was so good that I had to take another one. :-) All in all, it was a visit to a restaurant where everything was perfect. The welcome, the recommendations, the food, the bread was crispy, the wines were excellent and perfectly tempered, the desserts were terrific and the service was very accommodating and friendly. I already told the boss all of this shortly before I left, but I want everyone to know this. I have 20 years of catering experience and have rarely experienced such a lovely evening in a restaurant. Compliment.
