Unfortunately, when I asked about lactose-free products, the owner referred me to the list of ingredients for the food. Was a little surprised by the service in a bakery with gluten-free items. Products otherwise very tasty!

I just happened by there by chance and gluten-free is still new to me. I received friendly service and will definitely come by more often. The Linzer tarts are simply great.

Today I ate the best gluten-free bread ever. In the last 7 years (since my celiac disease) I have never eaten such a delicious bread. Tastes just like gluten-containing bread! Thank you, I'll come back again and again.

Some of the best gluten free bread I've had! Can't get enough of the sourdough with pumpkin seeds - and the pastries are great too. The gluten free bakerys are few and far between in Switzerland - so glad Glutenfreie Köstlichkeiten exists!

I have the feeling that the poorer reviews have been taken to heart and I can honestly say that the service on my last visit was top notch. I received friendly and competent advice and everything was delicious. I'm very happy that the bakery exists, thank you very much!

I'm very glad that this place exists. Great and varied selection of products (e.g. Lentenwähe at carnival time). Centrally located.

Very unfriendly saleswoman. She is either extremely shy or simply not ready for customer service... However, I have to say that the saleswoman in Riehen is super friendly.

I can only agree with the previous reviews talking about unfriendly stuff. Last week on Wednesday around noon, the sales woman was very mean to me. I was trying to speak in German explaining the product I wanted and she did not make any efforts trying to understand me so I pointed the product I wanted and she lectured me and called me rude for pointed the product with my finger. I did not touch the product, I did not touch her I was ONLY trying to show which one as I was getting frustrated because of her lack of empathy. I apologised as she made me feel terrible but I am definitely not coming back here. If this woman is not willing to be kind and open minded with foreign people she should not be treating with costumers, it was not pleasant at all to be called rude.. never again. Maybe she is different with Swiss people but then again I was talking in German to her and she did not even try to understand me. It’s a shame I was very happy to have a gluten free place around the corner and I used to bring my friends with me but will not come back as long as this sales woman is there.

I can only agree with the previous reviews, a very unfriendly saleswoman. She was constantly lecturing you, whether it was about the language or about serious questions about the ingredients in the baked goods. Avoid at all costs!

Very high quality products and a lot of care in the packaging especially when I make big orders. It is so rare to find such delicious cakes and muffins that are also gluten free. I have been buying their products for 3 years and I am extremely happy. This is the best place in Basel. I highly recommend it!

We received friendly advice and bought very tasty bread, carrot cakes and pretzels. We'd love to come back!

I would like to say the opposite and rate it better but the customer service is lousy, unfriendly and grumpy. The food was good but after this treatment I wouldn't want to go back, it's not once but twice we went there and we only received bad looks and responses. It's a shame that such an exclusive and unique place in Basel ends up becoming this.

My wife wanted to pick up the two loaves of bread we ordered in Riehen today. But the shop was closed for the holidays. She then contacted the Tellstrasse branch to cancel the order because we were unable to go to Gundeli. Ms. Kasper (boss) was very unfriendly. She offered to freeze the 2 loaves of bread so that we could pick them up in Riehen the next Saturday. She didn't respond to that because they didn't have enough space. The communication was extremely unfriendly. Customer satisfaction doesn't seem to play a role in this business.

I can only wholeheartedly recommend this business. Super delicious baked goods, super nice staff, always great tips and a great location. I am very glad that you exist. 1000 thanks for your daily commitment. ❤️

The issue of operation and customer friendliness is something we could still work on. I was ashamed when I asked if I could pay in cash - the answer: but -- please -- as small as possible. In one tone... I swallowed my discomfort with coffee and sweet pastries.

Friendly staff. Competent, honest and understanding advice and alternative recommendations are offered. We ordered 10 gluten-free and lactose-free donuts and cupcakes for a farewell party. They were very tasty and everyone was happy. We'd love to come back. :-)

My colleague and I regularly go to the great bakery. There are gluten-free treats for them and vegan treats for me. are always happy with the pastries. Friendly service. It's nice to have a place like this :)

Great place, super nice, super fine! Life-changing for me because I can now shop at a local bakery despite having celiac disease. I am always happy about the friendly and personal conversations!

Unfriendly and moody customer service. Products are delicious, but if you feel like you're being a nuisance even though you're leaving money there, that doesn't help.

My first trip to GK ended very unpleasantly for me. Very unfriendly customer service! If you have celiac disease and are in a new phase of life in which everything is already difficult enough and sometimes unpleasant, you should at least be able to feel comfortable in a place like this. I can't understand that, even though we are all potential regular customers for life. It doesn't help that the carrot cake tasted good!

The “GK” makes my trips to Basel from the US really special. Their baked goods are of the highest quality, very tasty and GK’s commitment to those with wheat allergies is so appreciated. I wish GK continued success and good things always.
