McDonald's in Basel

I have already rated McDonald's all over Europe and this is one of the best I have ever been to. The service was very friendly and quick, the interior design is simple and stylish with a lot of variation in seating options. The fries had a good consistency and were very richly salted, the burger had a little too much lettuce, but the sauce was well measured and the cheese was perfect, the chicken mc nuggets had a good crisp and a good internal consistency. Overall, this McDonald's is one of the best in Switzerland and definitely worth a visit

Constantly forgetting my chicken nuggets...

Order ready quickly. Fries hot, burgers cold. There wasn't much going on. Next time I'll see how warm the food is.

Top service, clean, fast service, simply great

I have been ordering for several months and I constantly have problems, for example the order is wrong (food is missing), the wrong order is delivered (not my order). I even had to send the Uber driver to McDonald's again because I was missing something. I even had to leave the house and go there in person just to receive my ORDER! It's incredible. Are there any quality controls at all? (I really don't think so.) The tipping point of the situation was that I received my order with a half-eaten burger. Incredible!

One star is still too many! I came into the McDonalds near the SBB train station with my family and the first thing we encountered was the smell of sweat. I thought to myself: "Okay, it's not that bad, they work hard, let's just sit in the other corner of the restaurant where the employees aren't around stop". Then the order arrived, we had ordered a Big Mac menu and three individual burgers. Instead of a fresh Big Mac without cheese, an old Double Big Mac with cheese arrived, which strangely enough they didn't want to replace. The cheeseburger was an absolute disaster, we were told that a new cheeseburger would be brought to us, but that was forgotten again. The fries and the two hamburgers were anything but fresh. I've never left a review for anything before, but in this case I just couldn't help myself. The absolute waste of money

The worst Hamburg I have eaten or at least tried… everything served too cold, no taste at all!!! Give this part a wide berth...!

All were fine. Very easily accessible because it’s very close to the station. Free toilets are available. The only thing I would add is not good point is the small burgers. The burger I ordered not a normal size burger. Everywhere else chicken burger is bigger then what I got in this MacDo. Other things were top 👍

Missing food It feels like every other time I go there to get food is missing always something. The fries are often soggy and I have often complained that something was forgotten, although no one really cares. This is more than just annoying!!!

I actually think the food is quite good, but today I got a big tasty with bacon instead of without and there was a hair in my cola, which really needs to be taken into account!

It is very close to the central station, therefore, a good place to eat before or upon arrival of our trip. Large place with good access for wheelchairs

The food is good but there is someone in the kitchen who always seems to be squeezing the bugs while packing them up!

Food was good, service was good except for one person who seemed quite unfriendly and even aggressive when serving food.

Unfortunately there were drunk Russians in the restaurant at lunchtime. The gentlemen consumed alcohol in McDonalds! I am of the opinion that such customers are not asked to leave, but rather that such gentlemen are removed. This whether you like it or not. There is an institution called the police for this...

You owe me a new bed, these miserable pieces of cardboard are no good. This “incredible revolution” for climate protection is an absolute shot in the oven and, unfortunately, it’s all just marketing. All in all, all I can say is what kind of incredibly unempathetic (popularly called assholes) people are they?

On Sundays at 3 p.m. when the restaurant isn't even 1/4 full, you wait 20 minutes for a Bicmac with not even a melted slice of cheese. Afterwards you are approached twice by beggars for money at the table. The toilet hasn't seen a cleaning cloth for a long time. Marginalized people are constantly walking through the dining area to go to the toilet. Which actually requires a pin on the terminal. But that was switched off. Overall, one of the company's worst branches. The best thing is the location. But since the company doesn't care about recessions, no one will ever read about it anyway.

It remains a mc do nothing exceptional but well located opposite the station, clean, fast service, in short what we are looking for

The McDonald in Basel is so fast in service good in food and the workers are also good. But in the Luzern city the food was not too good and they food were missing I had to go and tell them twice.

Overall great location, and ease of access next to SBB station. I in particular found a very rude and inconsiderate staff member who raised his tone when communicating to me. I was able to respond accordingly. Need to handle people with respect. Rest all good.

Actually, like in every MD, everything is okay. Staff friendly and helpful.

We were there eating before our flight from Basel, there was a crazy drunk lady who shouted at us and kept harassing us the whole time, don’t go to this McDonald’s if you have to wait 1-2 hours for your flight.

Normally it is a clean and pleasant place, they serve you your food at the table. The problem is that it was very full. Another problem I had was that despite being adapted for a wheelchair, I, who was on crutches, had a hard time getting into the bathroom since the access door is heavy and closes by itself.

We are going from Strasbourg to Basel not only to walk around the city, but also to visit McDonald's! Very fast service and perfect quality cooking! The service is chic, like in Ukraine! Thank you!

I ordered a McChicken menu and when I opened the box of com hamburgers at home it was with hot sauce 🤦‍♀️ So spicy I couldn't eat it Luckily I still had French fries and nuggets to eat It was a big mistake, since not everyone likes hot sauce. Mayo would be better instead of hot sauce. Personally, I wouldn't have found it so bad 😡 July 7th, 2023 at 1:45 a.m. unfortunately I couldn't drive back to change because I was only home at 2:04 a.m. and it closed at 2:00 a.m. on Thursday

I wanted to take my grandchild to the toilet to change his diaper and then have something to eat. The disabled toilet and changing table were installed crookedly, the base was disgustingly dirty, the trash can was overflowing, the floor was dirty with toilet paper and it smelled of urine. On the way to the exit I no longer thought about anything edible, but rather wanted lots of disinfectant and a hot shower.

Standing at the checkout and being served. Apparently the only thing that counts is online orders. Cash is worth nothing as legal tender. I think the young people like it. If you don't want to use it you just stand there. Nobody thinks that you are not being served in reality. Everything virtual. In the greatest need, I at least learned that McDonald's isn't there to feed people, just as simple as possible. So my money is obviously not needed.

The location is very good, but the space is quite narrow and doesn't allow you to sit there for longer. However, it's a standi mc for snacking or taking away! All right then.

Ideal location opposite train station, clean and quiet.... Usual menu with a few extras (chicken wings and shrimp bites, just two I noticed)......service quick, big prices very high (nearly 29 pound (30CH) for two big tasty meals !!!!). Not at all busy like UK McDonalds, which was good (no kids hanging out, no dirty tables, etc)

The large restaurant is modernly furnished and the staff is very friendly. The products basically taste like those in any other Swiss branch and the prices are identical. What was particularly noticeable, however, were two beggars who didn't stop at begging at the customer tables. Unfortunately, the employees didn't do anything about it and a beggar even slept at a table during our stay.

we felt a little disturbed, perhaps also because we sat near the toilets, a lot of people came in just to go to the bathroom, even many homeless people.

Lots of choice, the fan menu is very good but the donuts are too small and the fries are a little too salty. Plenty of places to sit.

Really appreciate the opening hours of this McDonalds. The food was very good by McDonald's standards.

I don't find the staff particularly friendly, they seem very disinterested and unmotivated. (At least what I saw) I don't know what it is, but this is the only McDonald's where I get such bad stomach cramps every time I eat. Otherwise the restaurant is nice but I don't go here anymore.

Why do you always only give these useless little books with the Happy Meals that you order via delivery service, even though you explicitly choose toys and you also get toys on site? This mentality of always giving away the junk because nothing comes back via the delivery service is simply not OK and I hope that at least a change occurs after this bad review.

There is nothing to say, the name McDonald's is enough

It is a recommended place with fast staff and delicious burgers. Abroad, your palate grows fast as it searches for the tastes it is accustomed to.

Classic McDonald's. 5 stars because of the friendly, great and well-coordinated team, because of the employees who work in this branch.

If I order in person from the staff and chat and have fun, it makes it more comfortable for me instead of ordering on the computer.

On the 3rd occasion, my order did not arrive complete. This time I called the establishment and they told me to go to pick up, if I order take-way it's because I don't want to leave the house. A lot of lack of responsibility.

Managers yell at employees. Very unpleasant as a customer.

The food is as expected for McDonald's, but overpriced, as per Switzerland. Being so close to France and Germany, was hoping it's priced more fairly. The staff was helpful, but i had issues with the wifi that was out of their control. Confirmed by other people in the restaurant, the network was not sending the SMS needed to connect to the wifi (which was the whole reason i ate there) There was a FIFA 2022 match on aswell, so it was crowded and messy. (Maybe it's not always the case)

I would have liked to have bought a voucher when I transferred from Drämli to the train. But instead of serving us, the young gentleman preferred to talk to his colleague... It's a shame, it's a shame.

Restaurant opposite BSS railway station. For those of us who arrive without internet, it is a very good place to locate yourself. They give you a free hour of internet. The prices for an espresso coffee €3.65 and a mini ice cream €2... But it was worth it to know where we had to go.

Update: When I last ordered, I asked what the best thing to do in such a case was... the best thing to do was to call or complain to the counter with the receipt next time... and yep... they were extremely friendly and solved the problem (retrospectively) treated and solved! I think you've never been so positively surprised by a fast food experience! Original: Normally happy, but just ordered 20 nuggets and got 11! Impudence! And yes, Saturday at 2 a.m., but no one answers and I can't get off the train again and complain personally... uncool!

Yeah guys I don’t know what you are doing. How is my McFlurry melting into vanilla M&M’s sauce within 4 minutes? TWICE! You are selling ice cream, not pudding! Whatever you do, don’t buy ice cream here. The only thing you’ll get is a pre-melted mess of a disappointment. Maybe get some training on how other stores do it.

Can I just say how annoying it is to buy takeaway food and when you get to the train discover that there is no Cesar dressing for the salad? Would be grateful if the personnel was more cautious about these things.

They didn’t give me ceasar dressing to my ceasar salad 😡 It was very dry and flavorless And they gave me no straw to my soda

Nice modern restaurant with good hygiene standards in the toilet. That evening, however, the staff was not very friendly and the food was incomplete. After noticing its absence, the burger was warm and tasted as expected, but as you can see in the picture, it was completely compressed. As we all know, the eye is sensitive, which made the experience here disappointing. It's a shame actually.

A while ago I had given it 4 stars but I am very sorry to say it but I retract this opinion I gave about this particular restaurant. Today I think that no one should go to eat there except at this time (between 9:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. today, April 14, 2022) there is a manager and a woman who apparently is also a boss... Who DO NOT HAVE any professional ethics, apparently the woman NEVER went through customer service training, in fact they shouldn't even work there. They should both be fired...

If I could I would give -10 stars!! Very very unfriendly manager (Jenny) in this store!! I ordered food and sauces were forgotten again like EVERY time! The manager wasn't interested and was very unfriendly! I advise everyone to order food there or eat there! A disaster! Unbelievable how people can be!

All things were brought to the table quickly, fresh and hot and without forgetting anything. The tables were also clean.

On a Sunday afternoon around 2 p.m. with the restaurant half full, I have little understanding if I have to wait over 10 minutes for my cheeseburger menu with salad and a Mc Flury. The Mc Flury was actually missing when it was served. So get up again and go to the checkout to make a complaint.

Clear and clean location with wireless charging stations

Another city. Another McDonalds. Still much the same on the menu. But also a fan burger (now) available here. Delicious milkshakes here too. The mayo is different but tasty. Otherwise just use the Mac as you are used to. Self service and served at the table.

Standard Mc Donald's at a very good location. Friendly(ish) staff and fast service but they've gotten my order wrong twice this month. They keep forgetting or giving me the wrong food items. On the plus side they did give me the forgotten food items right away after I pointed out their mistake to them. Maybe they could slow down a bit and double check orders to avoid this. It's a shame because they're a good venue and obviously are trying hard to get everything right. I would have written this in a Mc Donald's feedback and not done this publicly but the receipt I received was partially shredded so I couldn't... Overall I can still recommend this place to anybody who needs a quick bite or somewhere to wait for a train. Contrary to what some older reviews here say it's a very clean location.

I visit McDonald's every time I like it better, I don't want to get addicted, but that honey mustard burger is spunk, and that cheesecake, and something even more pleasant. The attention is great, I think there are few places in Basel that have this good attention, and you can also tell that they speak your language. I think that's super nice. I saw a comment from There that someone didn't make very nicely, but I think that everyone has a bad day, I really think that they should be more tolerant than working in the kitchen is not easy with the heat or even the cold, what is important is how well you feel comfortable and can enjoy your meal in peace!!! For me an excellent place with Magnificent Workers... I give them 1,000 stars... Be careful I don't win for what I say haha!!! Enjoy..
