It's a shame that the traditional Anker no longer exists... it's a shame that many good middle-class restaurants are disappearing, like the Anker in Interlaken

In Switzerland, real cheese fondue has too much alcohol. I took a bite and put it away. Think carefully before ordering!!

Delicious! A little pricey but everything is in Switzerland. The fondue was tasty and so was the traditional hash brown with egg. Couple those with a good beer and it makes for a deliciously satisfying meal. Kid menu was perfect - 11 year old loved the homemade chicken nugget meal.

It wasn't the best fondue that I have eaten, but the staff was very friendly. The look was more that of a bar than a restaurant, but can't really complain.

The taste is average, but the price is very expensive.. It can't be helped because prices in Switzerland are high, but for two people, two main dishes and a few beers cost close to 100,000 won..ㄷㄷ Poor backpackers just buy food from supermarkets instead of restaurants.

Staff were friendly and speak fluent English. They came up to us a couple of times to check if the food was ok. Food was not bad and the portions were huge! Value for money and they do let you order the cheese fondue for 1 pax!

Good Swiss cuisine, polite waiters, but my dish itself (Käseschnitt) did not taste very good - too much onion and very greasy bacon. The portion is huge, but it's still worth working on the recipe. A friend said that there used to be a different owner, then the restaurant was better, but now it’s not the same.

Odd old style place, meeting point for locals. Food was very nice, and the service outstanding. Prices were low for Swiss standards, we had a good bottle of white wine, a great starter and Rösti.

Waitresses are always smiling. They provided great service to customers. Reasonable price for delicious cheese fondue and other menus. Strongly recommended. They are friendly and unlike other European restaurants, the food comes out quickly. There is no such thing as discrimination against Asians at all. The fondue is good for your taste buds, but there is a lot of food, so don't order too much. Food prices are also cheap considering the cost of living.

Worst service and attitude!!! I had to get up and tell the waitress I was ready to order, and she still did not come. I complained to the manager. Then the waitress came over and threatened me! She did not do her job and then got verbally abusive! Unbelievable!!!

A beautiful restaurant and worth a try. I had a steak and a chicken steak, which came with potatoes. The price is 83.9 francs.

This place is totally a must. For two you could order the rusty classic and the fondue for one. Definitely try the local beer they have it draft and it's also a great lager. This is a gem of a place in Interlaken I would not miss it for any reason while here. Would recommend to any friend or family for sure.

I don't know now but 3years ago I know the boss of this restaurant and her husband chief cook. At that time it was very good and good staff, helpful. But the new management I don't know. Hope not like before.

Staff is helpful, service is good and price is reasonable. Tomato soup is ok but pork steak is a bit salty. Moreover, soup and main dish are delivered at the same time as the waitress thinks this is an usual practice for an Asian, even I came alone. It didn't make sense and has to deducted one point/star onto it.

The decorations on the seats and throughout the restaurant are reasonable and aesthetic. The toilet is always clean and overall the place gives a good impression. This restaurant actually has the potential to become my next favorite place. Bravo. The professionalism of the staff is truly impressive. Affordable, diverse selection of dishes and drinks. I and my lady were actually extremely happy that we finally found a restaurant near us that we can still afford at the end of the month without any restrictions.

The lamb meat has no smell at all and is delicious. I was worried after reading the reviews below, but credit card payment worked fine. I've never seen a place in Switzerland that doesn't accept card payments.

The restaurant is good. We are 12 ppl group and forgot to reserve the table, but the waitress also let us to have our dinner here. She is really helpful and nice. The food is excellent. The steak is very juicy, the cheese fondue is also very nice. Even if the chicken nuggets for the kids is delicious. We have a wonderful night here.

Food was fine (just about acceptable). But when it came to dessert there was an aluminum foil (chocolate wrapping) meshed inside the pastry. It was by chance that we found it as the kids were half way done eating it. The staff (owner), instead of apologizing, kept insisting that is how the pastry is supposed to be! With pieces of aluminum foil inside the pastry. Too stunned to react but eat at your own peril!

I think it's a cheap restaurant compared to Swiss prices! The original local version of fondue contains alcohol, but it may not suit your taste! If you ask me to take it out, they will take it out. The pasta with avocado was really delicious. I think both dishes were a little over 20 francs, and the tomato soup was around 10 francs. Overall, the restaurant atmosphere is nice! There are quite a few Korean people haha.

A great place, when we paid we didn't realize that they had also charged us for the table next to us, we were traveling and we realized when we had already left the city, the owners contacted us and told us They returned the overcharged amount. The food was unique and delicious, and the staff were friendly. Everything was good, but when I paid, they said my card wasn't accepted... I felt a bit cheated because I received Swiss Francs and Euros at a 1:1 rate. Still, the food is good in Interlaken.

Best food we had in our 6 days in Switzerland. Their Rosti is the best. My wife got the salmon trout and loved it as well. Elia our server gave amazing service and was more attentive than most.

The accommodation was nearby and had good Google reviews. I visited Switzerland on my last day. The older woman (?) who was looking at the hall was very cheerful and kind. We were very hungry so we ordered 3 pieces and they advised us that it would be a lot, but we said it was okay🤭 I ordered Lamb chops, Pasta (small), and CHRÜTLIWYBER RÖSCHTI (the menu is exactly as it appears on the website). The portions are actually very large. Lamb is truly the meat of life! It's really soft and doesn't have a spicy smell. It really reminds me more of the Korean beef or high-quality steak I've ever eaten. It was my first time eating pasta! The flavor of cheese...👍🏻 my friend loved this Next, I thought it was cheese fondue, so I ordered it wrong... but for some reason... this was also really delicious. The stir-fried potato salad was topped with cheese and tomatoes, and it was so delicious, like a side dish for Korean stir-fried potatoes (my go-to snack). I mixed it with the rice that came with the lamb (mutton) order, and wow... it was perfect, like a real fusion food! It was an unforgettable meal. If I go to Switzerland again, I will definitely come here! I will go again! Thank you ㅜㅜ

The fondue was amazing, and although we were told that it would probably be best to share one portion (26 CHF) between two people as it was a lot, in hindsight we would probably get two portions. Lastly, although they say they open at 4pm, their kitchen actually opens at 5:30pm, so that's something to keep in mind! But the staff were really nice and you can play pool for free on a great table!

It was truly authentic Swiss fondue. The friendly staff made the food even more delicious. It was a very nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. It was Swiss food that wasn't on the menu, but the Rösti who willingly prepared it was the best. It was a more memorable dish than the Rösti I had at another famous restaurant. It was a truly memorable restaurant~^^

The portion is enough for two people. The owner is friendly and the food is delicious. Cheese fondue, 220g of lamb, and 2 glasses of lager cost 62 francs.

This is a great place I first discovered back in 1981 with my twin brother Phil Wilkinson. We spent 2 great years living in Interlaken Janet and her staff are great hosts. Highly recommended need a re visit regards from Kuala Lumpur.

Highly recommended. We tried the cheese founde and it was a success, it was delicious. Then, we had broccoli cannelloni, chicken noodles with paprika sauce and typical Swiss soup with onion, cheese and bread. The service was very friendly and we were lucky enough to try a chocolate fondue with fruit for free.

This restaurant is phenomenal! We arrived extremely early for dinner, and the waitress let us sit inside until the kitchen was ready. But we didn't actually have to wait! They opened the salad bar (which is very fresh and delicious) and then took our orders in a very timely manner. We were soon greeted by the owner, and then our magnificent main courses came out. I had the pork and my husband had the macaroni, both of which were daily specials. The prices were also very reasonable, especially on the daily menu.

A mix bag of different cuisine being served here.. More of an international restaurant/steakhouse. Food was ok.

Fondue: Bread and potato fondue was explained kindly, and it goes well with beer. 5. Beer: Interlaken Lager goes well with fondue. 6. Comprehensive evaluation: Don’t go to an obscure place and spend a lot of money, but eat fondue here.

I’d give 0 stars if I could. Waited outside for 15 min and received absolutely no service nor acknowledgement from any staff. When I tried to find a server all I got was “one moment”. When I tried to get the attention of the curly hair dude behind the bar apparently he saw us outside even though he gave no recognition. We waited inside for another 15 min while not a single person gave us even a menu. The place wasn’t even close to being packed yet we didn’t even get a menu during our wait. Biggest waste of time of my life. Avoid this place at all cost unless you want to spend your precious travel time watching people get their food.

My husband and I stopped here for an early dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Our waitress (who I also think is the owner) was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met and she takes so much pride in the restaurant. We ordered the ostrich to share and asparagus with cheeses and potatoes as an appetizer. Both were so delicious! Also I highly recommend the ostrich! We are every last bite and it was filled with tons of flavor. Also our meal took a little longer than expected so we were given a complimentary drink each and a salad. The dressing that comes with the salad is fantastic! Definitely worth starting with a salad and the bread (the butter is also one of a kind). Highly recommend the anyone coming to Interlaken!

Seeing reviews on trip advisor and the ranking of this restaurant, I have already planned to have dinner here one night and it did not make me feel disappointed! I have tried the beef, it is amazing and the sauce is pretty good, I can even have the salad bar included and a jar of water for free! This is the first time I get in the restaurant giving me a jar of water free of charge, as well as giving a big bowl of French fries. But the duckling breast my aunt order is a bit raw, depends whether you like raw or not. Anyway this restaurant is the restaurant I got satisfaction and hope others would visit!!!

I'm eating it now after reading the review. They say you can order one fondue and eat it for two. There was only cheese fondue, and my wife and I enjoyed it. I also ordered a steak, and they recommended that they use local beef. 200g costs about 48 francs, but the meat is split into two pieces, so it's a lot. And the owner and staff are cheerful and really friendly. I can see why the rating is so high. You won't regret coming.

Wow, this place is really the best.. Come if you want to eat chicken sweet and sour pork. Today's menu is chicken sweet and sour pork. I came here after reading the reviews, and as I was looking at the menu at the door, a local passing by stopped by on his bike and said this was a really cool place. Coming in and eating, it's really the best.. It's awesome. Today's menu was distributed in a large size and the cheese fondue was delicious. I almost cried because I had never seen a place as friendly as this while visiting Prague and Switzerland. At the end, even the pudding included in today's menu was fantastic. Next time I visit Interlaken again, I want to go again. Very Berry Good!

Just go here if you come to Interlaken. I had a large size of today's menu with cheese fondue, and they divided it into two halves of today's menu. I ate until I was full. He was really kind and included beer, which cost 63 francs. I just gave him 7 francs as a tip, and I was really satisfied.

Although we did not make reservation, the staff usher us to the bar table to decide on our take-away. In the end, he was kind enough to let us dine in there. Salad with homemade sauce was special, while my pork chop was fantastic! My wife had the salmon and fried rice which was equally good!! Warm and cosy place, feels very welcomed when every staff makes you feel at home.

The employees are very friendly. There are a lot of Chinese people, but it is still less noisy. The taste was pretty good, and I ordered the menu of the day, fondue, beer, and cola, and it cost about 60 francs.

A good local restaurant where you can have fondue (enough to share even if you order one) for less than 30 francs for two people. The steak is also served for two for 40 francs, so it is very cost-effective compared to other restaurants in Interlaken.

We were in Switzerland for two weeks, and this restaurant was hands-down our favorite! We have a family of six, and I tried everyone else's dinner, and EVERY SINGLE ONE was delicious! Not to mention the sweetest waiter! The owner, who was a darling older lady came out and gave our kids balloons and pinwheels. You won't be disappointed! Delicious food, and the kindest people!
