Hardly any chicken or vegetarian options in the lunch buffet. Mainly pork and beef option with 1 fish dish sometimes. But the staff was very nice and brought a chicken dish in the buffet. Maybe it was a left over from the fridge but a nice gesture which we appreciated. The dinner menu a la carte is very good and tastes authentic Thai food.

Sorry but Thai but there is much better to offer than that. Service staff pushy and cheeky. Water bottle opened without informing me and placed on the table without me sitting at the table... they also opened a large bottle without asking me and pressured me to pay for it. Sorry but that's not service… people give 5* rating because they have all you can eat concept…. If it doesn't cost anything, it doesn't have any. Quality

The Vegi Red Curry was very tasty, the service was friendly and quick. The second helping of rice was available at no extra charge.

The buffet was ok. So ok☺️ I think it's a shame that it's ok; cook the food you are used to! Really Thai, because that's why people come💯Dear staff, by the way! Price for the buffet is also OK. But as I said about the food: OK, not great or anything😜

The food was delicious and authentic, and the service was excellent.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover an excellent Thai restaurant in Olten, which is not a place where one would typically expect to find one. The restaurant's atmosphere is both relaxing and charming. I ordered the raw vegetarian spring roll with tamarind sauce for an appetizer, and it was both delicious and beautifully presented. For my main course, I had the fish in red curry with rice noodles, which was also very tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Very nice and cozy atmosphere in the back of the restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. We had 1x vegetarian and 1x chicken cashew nuts with fried rice, which tasted very good and was nicely prepared and presented. Price/performance seemed absolutely fair to me. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a website for the restaurant anywhere. to find out about the menu in advance.

A very expensive Thai at which I would expect exquisite food and high quality meats and fish. 40+ CHF for a fish curry with catfish (Pangasius the cheapest fish available) seems steep. It was simple Thai curries that everyone can cook at home. In my opinion not great value for money. But the restaurant was packed so I guess Olten has no problems with the prices and type of food.

Vegetarian selection is poor, prices are outrageous, taste is OK. I would never prefer it again as it wasn't in an "appropriate" proportion. A pity.

Impressions from 2019. Excellent selection. There is something for everyone, even extremely spicy (it is written down). Price is a bit high, but the selection is perfect. And of course delicious!

Super good food and nice atmosphere

Unfortunately no. The food on cold plates. The research candle under the plate is of no use either. The duck was on the chewy side and dry on the edge. The sauce tastes like a finished product and is far too bland and cannot be seasoned. Decoration on the plate has withered. Napkin was forgotten when uncovering. There was no response to the verdict: not really good. One more thing: the serving towel with which the supposedly hot plates are served, etc. definitely shouldn't be carried on your shoulders all the time. It's not hygienic at all. It wouldn't be so bad and you could ignore some things. But at these prices that is disproportionate and unacceptable.

This evening I ordered 2 menus for 65 chf and 1 pasta. Unfortunately, I didn't get the pasta, but only after complaining about it did I want to remove it on the invoice. Thank you, the waiting time was too long

The food was wonderful and absolutely worth recommending. People were extremely accommodating and didn't hesitate to rearrange the tables several times for the guests. It was just a great end to the day, enjoying the food in the alley in the last rays of sunshine.

We visited this restaurant because of the many good reviews. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is freshly prepared and tastes good. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right. It is far too expensive for the quality and portion size offered.

For me the best Thai in Olten. Lunch buffet with plenty of choice, even “Thai” spicy! A little expensive in the evening, but I'm happy to pay a little more for the quality of the food. And the always friendly and attentive service contributes a lot to the hospitality. I look forward to my next visit!

Am Mittag steht ein grosses Mittagsbuffet für Take Away. Alles hervorragend zu einem sensationellen Preis. Die Speisen sind sehr gut. Der Service perfekt. Jederzeit wieder.

The red curry was bland, watery and stretched with pineapple and tomatoes. The duck is dry like a sandy desert. Luckily the service was very friendly. But - the prices are exorbitant! Totally overpriced!

Tolle Auswahl an sehr feinen thailändischen Speisen im Mittagsbuffet. Abends habe ich es leider nich nie geschafft.

Visit from September 21st with family Unfortunately I can only rate it 2*. Unfortunately the quality has dropped significantly. Tom Yam Kung soup was tasteless. The broth like water. Sausage was dry like sand. The previous popular dishes such as fried vegetables with tofu, beef with basil, duck panang curry were very dry. Couldn't compare with before. Above all, all dishes are overpriced. Are no longer willing to pay high prices for poor quality food. Hope the landlady listens to customers' opinions so she can improve the quality. Otherwise it was the last visit for us. Very unfortunate!!!

Das Essen war echt lecker! Richtiges Thai essen wir hatten das Menu für 2 pers. mit Ein allerlei vorab, dan Suppe oder Salat als Vorspeise, Hauptgang ( 3 verschiedene sorten) mit Reis , naher Glace oder Kaffee. Mmmmm ein Traum. Bedienung angenehm und sehr Freundlich.

Wer auf Thai oder Asiatisch Gerichte steht sollte sich den Golden Löwen nicht entgehen lassen.Die Abendmenüs kosten was, doch sie sind von hoher Qualität und lassen keinen Wunsch übrig. Doch wer Zeit findet sollte unbedingt am Mittag vorbeigehen, dass Buffet lässt keine Wünsche offen und kann so oft man will nach schöpfen und das alles für 25.-

If you are a fan of the real Thai food I wouldn't recommend this place. Dishes are westernised and expensive (lot's of meat, not enough vegetables). No Thai staples available, papaya salad was way off balance with the fish sauce. Lot's of imported meats is another negative for me.

Ich empfehle sehr das Mittagsmenü , da gibt es für jeden Geschmack etwas, und hat ein tolles Preis- Leistungsverhältnis, wir kommen immer gerne in dieses Lokal und können es wärmstens weiterempfehlen

Nach einem langen Ausbildungstag war es ganz gemütlich im Löwen ein Bierchen und etwas wärmendes in den Bauch zu erhalten. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hat sich prima gekümmert. Das Essen war genau richtig, die Einrichtung nicht aufdringlich und alles hat schnell funktioniert.Die Preise sind eher hoch, dafür gibt man sich sehr Mühe mit dem Präsentieren und Anrichten.

Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Das Essen war hervorragend und die Portionen haben uns mehr als satt gemacht. Bedienung war freundlich und effizient. Kommen gerne wieder.

Im Goldener Lowen Lana Thai ist das MIttagsbuffet und der Essbereich in 2 Räume aufgeteilt. Kunden, welche Take-away bevorzugen, hindern so die Restaurantgäste nicht und das finde ich toll.Das Ambiente ist gutbürgerlich und bei vollbesetztem Raum etwas eng.Das Mittagsbuffet ist frisch zubereitet und reichhaltug, wird laufend nachgefüllt und in verschiedene Schärfegrade aufgeteilt. Der Preis von CHF 25.- finde ich angemessen und korrekt.Das Servierpersonal empfand ich als sehr kompetent und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Mein zweiter und bestimmt letzter Besuch in diesem Lokal. Wir mussten am Abend 90 Minuten auf das Essen warten, unglaublich!Die Bestellung war sehr simpel, keine komplizierten Wünsche:die Getränke kamen erst nach ca.30 Minuten.Das Personal (3 Frauen in T-Shirts) bewegte sich chaotisch im Saal, meistens mit leeren Händen.Das Essen selber viel zu teuer, zu viel Deko auf den Tellern, zu wenig Essbares, durchschnittliche Speisenqualität. Ambiente ungemütlich und zusammen gewürfelt. Mangelnde Freundlichkeit und schlechte Gastgeberqualität.Ich empfehle dieses Lokal nicht.

Tout est parfait, de la réservation à l'addition!On avait découvert ce restaurant cet été, un midi. Il propose un buffet à volonté pour 25.- par personne et on a été réellement séduit! Tout était savoureux, goûteux, bien présenté et en quantité largement suffisante. De l'aigre doux au très piquant, vraiment sublime et pour chacun (carnivore ou végétarien, piment ou douceur, riz ou nouilles, voyageurs ou résidents).Du coup, on a testé hier soir à la carte. Accueil très aimable, la salle du restaurant est sobre et agréable. Conseils avisés de la serveuse et la commande est prise. 10 minutes après, nos entrées arrivent, belle présentation, beaucoup de goûts et d'épices qui font voyager dès la première bouchée! Un régal! Peu après avoir été débarrassé, le plat principal arrivait. Là aussi, quantité très généreuse, riz au jasmin en accompagnement (compris dans le prix), sauce légère à la digestion, mélange de saveurs exotiques, on ferme les yeux et on est transporté en Asie. Magique. Service très professionnel, rapide et très convivial. L'addition est très correcte, excellent rapport qualité prix! Tout est propre dans ce restaurant et les produits sont FRAIS! Nous y reviendrons dès que possible!Merci et continuez comme cela, c'était un réel plaisir de manger chez vous! :))

Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt einfach nicht... fast alle Hauptgerichte kosten um 40 Franken. Qualität der Speisen ok, viel Dekoration auf dem Teller. Bedienung freundlich und schnell, aber unkonzentriert. Wir waren leider nicht überzeugt und kommen nicht wieder.

Die Preise in diesem durchschnittliches Thai-Restaurant haben mich überrascht. Leider hat die Leistung das hohe Preisniveau keinesfalls gerechtfertigt. Das rote Thaicurry mit Gemüse und Tofu war durchschnittlich. Den Tofu musste man suchen. Es hatte nur wenige kleine Stücke drin. Die rote Curry-Sauce war doch sehr wässrig-flüssig. Die Küche war wohl total überfordert, da das Restaurant drinnen und draussen gut besetzt war. Auf unseren Hauptgang als einzigen Gang haben wir fast eine Stunde gewartet. Der Service war okay, aber nicht etwa freundlich.

der gestrige besuch war am Anfang ein wenig schockierend, die preise sind sehr hoch, die eine Bedienung glaube ich hatte den 1. Arbeitstag, musste alles die Kollegin fragen.das Essen sah auf den ersten Blick nach sehr wenig aus, hat sich aber dann anders Rausgestellt, es sind anders wie es Aussieht grosse Portionen und auch sehr sehr lecker gekocht.

Ich war schon öfters im Löwen in Olten und gehe immer wieder gerne hin. Die Speisen sind schmackhaft und mit frischen Produkten zubereitet und schön angerichtet. Das Ambiente ist angenehm und der Service freundlich. Besonders gefällt mir, dass hier viele frische Thai Kräuter und Gewürze verwendet werden und das neben den Klassikern auch innovative Gerichte auf er Speisekarte stehen. Nur über die Herkunft von Fleisch und Fisch bzw. Meeresfrüchte bin ich nicht ganz glücklich, weswegen ich hier vegetarische Speisen bevorzuge - das gibt einen Punkt Abzug.Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut in Ordnung.

Fantastic food that deserves AT LEAST five stars. Original starters (raw vegetarian spring rolls), incredibly tender beef, fine curries. I deducted one star for the ambience: In this price range, the staff should wear a little more upscale clothing (perhaps a black blouse/shirt with the logo instead of T-shirts in the evening) and the toilet facilities could be a little cleaner and more modern.

Gute und freundliche Bedienung. Ausgezeichnetes thailändisches Essen. Sehr zu empfehlen, auch wenn man abends ausgeht und noch ein feines Essen geniessen will.

Freundlicher Service und Essen das nach Thai schmeckte. ABER: Es war ein bisschen 0815 und wirkte nicht ganz so liebevoll dargeboten, wie man das sonst in thailändischen Restaurants gewöhnt ist. Für den Preis gehe ich lieber zu einem anderen Thai.

Das Restaurant ist für einen eher festlichen Rahmen gut geeignet. Aufmerksamkeit/ Freundlichkeit und Essen ist ganz gut. Einziger Haken ist die eher enge Tischordnung. Preise sind m.E. in Ordnung.
