Very nice surroundings, varied fairways, nice par 3, only the noise of the motorway is a bit annoying. Clubhouse refreshingly bright, very friendly staff! Unfortunately the prices are too high. To compare again, the “Whispering Angel” costs 69 SFr in the “in-local” merchants in Zurich, not 79 SFr like in Sempach and Kyburg. You're wondering whether you should spend 24 SFr on a tarte flambée, compared to €12 at GC Basel. You can get a comparable rosé there for €38.

CHF 140.- Green fee on weekdays (especially with a member!) are definitely not guest-friendly for a place in average condition (tee boxes very bad). There are plus points for the well-kept and beautiful clubhouse.

I tested the Kyburg Golf Club today. The course is very demanding, but not in a good way! I also played my handicap of 11.3, so from that point of view it wasn't a negative experience and I still don't like Kyburg! 1. No hole descriptions on the tee! 2. Lots of treacherous blind holes! 3. Too many imbalances! 4. Highway noise! 5. Power lines on hole 9! 6th prize CHF 160.- in the morning at 7:00 a.m.! I decided against becoming a member because there are clearly nicer places in the region. That's why I didn't test the restaurant anymore and can't say anything about it.

I was a member of this club for a long time. After the founding of Basel and the "gifted memberships" for Basel, Kyburg was overrun by "guests". As a member you had to reserve the T-Time 14 days in advance in order to be able to play on your home course again...
