All amenities offered. Architecture is better than any other thermal bath I've visited. German style sauna.

Criticism BEFORE the renovation. Unfortunately very disappointing! I have already been to many thermal baths, so I can speak of some experience. -Unfortunately, it starts when you check in that you get faded, unsightly, rigid plastic bracelets from the 80s. This could be solved very elegantly with black rubber bands. -There is a lack of atmosphere. The changing rooms look like those in average city bathing establishments. The entire bathroom is crumbling in many places, the tiles are chipped and the shower facilities do not exude a luxurious flair at all but are more like normal swimming facilities. You could also work more with light. More skylights in the hall, for example. -The water pools with different water temperatures are far too small and hardly offer space for more than 6 people. There is also a lack of atmosphere there. Instead of such narrow niches, you could do something with rock as it would also fit the theme. In addition, the nozzles keep switching off and you wait. No matter whether in the large pool or in the small ones. I'm really excited about the renovation! I hope more attention is paid to details. New, larger pools with rock walls and atmospheric light, which simply takes up more of the gorge theme of the spring. The large hall is very timeless and beautiful in style, but needs to be supplemented with these details.

Lots of water massage, warm water, cold water. Outside bases, just great!!!

The staff are friendly and helpful. It's just a little more expensive than what's on offer. It was expanded and made larger, but that didn't justify the costs. It's nice and clean except the toilet facilities could be cleaner. Otherwise it's okay.

Nice place and very cosy.. a bit pricey and crowded on weekends

The high number of visitors to the Tamina Therme speaks for itself. The infusions are world-class and the sound journey is a highlight. The staff in particular do a great job and ensure that the house rules are adhered to, which is visibly stressful as some guests misbehave by reserving loungers without using them or using smartphones with cameras. The general ban on cell phones is TOP! Many thanks to the exemplary staff who, with their tireless efforts, make the Tamina Therme what it is, a wellness oasis and relaxation paradise in which you can let go, go offline and relax protected from everyday life ;-)

What an incredible experience. Definitely one of the best thermal baths I've been to! I arrived at 8:30am on a Saturday and there were very few people. It started to get more crowded when I left at noon, so I highly recommend a morning visit.

A unique experience!! The wonderful thing is the pool outside with the sweeping mountain scenery!! A dream! Very relaxing

I love the hot (39 degrees) and cold (17 degrees) pools, the outdoor pool, the hot towel and the beautiful surroundings.

A really nice thermal spa with different cold/ warm/ bubble pools and saunas and resting areas. If you decide to come then definitely consider taking the full package and going into the sauna area. After spending some time there you could not imagine being in the main area with all those people and the noise. Many great saunas in the sauna area - especially the Latvian Pirts which felt the most comfortable and just like home. Take the time for this day here because it is worth it.

Bathroom (still) nice, getting old. In my opinion, paying the parking fees is "very cheeky" due to the lack of machines... since it is practically not described (makeshift) that you should pay somewhere in the casino or in the parking garage on floor xy, etc.. at the end the customer is allowed to search... because in the garage Nothing is written anywhere... in the "classy ambience" you can expect something different... luckily I don't have any physical limitations...

Loved it! I love this architecture and the color scheme inside. This place feels like royalty especially if you are smart and reserve online in advance. The staff are also really polite. Wish i could take pictures inside but I also understand why. On another note, don’t forget your towels or slippers. But if you do, you can get it there too.

A good place to relax! Even if it's a little old. I've seen that it's being renovated this spring. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to the renovated bathroom. Keep it up! Best regards Stefan M.

Due to the maximum limit on the number of people allowed in, the bathroom is relaxed and pleasant. Always lit in the evening by candlelight, which creates a lovely atmosphere. It is clean and well maintained.

We are almost regular guests and can only recommend it. Nice and quiet and you can relax really well.

The bathroom is super nice, clean and the staff is friendly. I don't think the price-performance ratio is quite right. It doesn't have very many pools and you also have to pay for the beach towel.

I would have expected more for the price but you can have a really nice and relaxing time there. Very nice, the sauna area is worth it.

It was a good atmosphere. There were many guests present. Staff is very friendly. However, one toilet was very dirty and that is uncomfortable barefoot. Some tiles were missing and chewing gum and cigarettes were stuck to a stone outside. The sun loungers, the steam bath and the food in the cafe were very good.

Advantages: High sauna culture. Sauna sessions every hour from the morning. Clean, quiet, drinking water. Disadvantages: There is no jacuzzi in the sauna area, the cooling pool is only outside. Only one steam sauna. The swimming pool area is not very atmospheric, noisy and smells of chlorine. A bit like usual swimming pools. Bathrobe 10 chf, towel 5 chf. A bit of an exaggeration.

Anyone who does not explicitly declare their senior discount upon ENTRY will not receive it. Not particularly customer friendly. Otherwise 4/5 stars

A few days ago we were able to enjoy our wedding present at the Tamina Therme. We were just happy, everything worked perfectly from A to Z, staff, ambience and the icing on the cake were the massages, a huge compliment to everyone... :-) Here's a little input for the critics... Make your reservation early and you'll have an unforgettable day... ;-)

Nice place to relax, although expensive it is complete. Pool outside with jets, diversity inside, sauna... and the best thing is the town in which it is located, huge gardens, street exhibitions... recommended

It was a very nice, relaxing day. Pure relaxation! Various pools to relax and unwind, delicious, healthy snacks in the bistro, the hot towels😍, friendly staff, so all in all a perfect day that we will definitely repeat.

Nice thermal bath but unfortunately the information that children are only allowed in from the age of 3 is very well hidden.

A beautiful thermal bath that has different pools with different temperatures. The bathroom is clean and modern. The entrance fees are a bit too high for me, which is the only negative point.

The plates come loose in the water, the water is cold, there is little space to lie on and it's just not nice at all. Worst thermal bath so far unfortunately. I was hoping for more.

Came here today for my 40th birthday. The internet says capacity 90% which is not 100% for me. I had to wait 30 minutes. Thats still alright. But why do people who book online come in when the bathroom is supposedly full? Write on the Internet // it's full //. I couldn't book online because it doesn't work with my birthday. It wasn't so crowded inside Nice people Food very tasty Bathroom rather old and small. If not free then 40.- is quite a lot.

Lots of history and a very nice place for relaxation

In no way does justice to these overgrown entrance fees. With two children an entrance fee of Fr.114.- for 2 hours and a few minutes is definitely too much. It is also cold, slippery and outdated.

Nice bathroom but unfortunately there are some places where some of the mosaic tiles are missing. Not exactly up to standard for a bathroom that belongs to a grand hotel.

Sauna area gets three stars. Way too expensive and not enough on offer.

Superb SPA, the sauna area is wonderful and the swimming pools are no different. Worth the ticket price! I recommend taking a few hours or at least half a day to have a complete experience or even some treatments.

Bath and sauna good, massage catastrophic...

Our spa day was not as expected. We booked breakfast + spa on a Friday, clearly several days in advance we communicated via email with I assume the reservation department or the spa reception. Apparently everything was good and explained. First of all, at 8:00 a.m. we are in the queue for about 10-15 minutes, too many guests, a single employee makes it as quickly as possible so that all the guests can come in, we are also at the reception, we want to find out who “Where, what… When we ask spa employees in stress, we notice ourselves. He says, just go in and go to the buffet, okay. We came there too, a nice woman has no idea what it's about and gets an experienced colleague and blah blah blah (who's guilty, who said that, etc..) it's 9:00 a.m. and we don't feel like getting up anymore Breakfast and whole spa. I will NOT recommend anyone to book this package, the price/performance ratio is not right at all! Far too many people, you can tell that it's all about volume, not quality. Staff not trained enough or not informed at all. What a shame!

Absolute hassle plan: 2 hours of waiting, we end up getting discouraged by the crowds. It's not for lack of not having tried to gather information in advance: - but the website broadcasts a soothing chatter about relaxation, without in any way explaining the modalities. In reality, there is on one side the hotel, with its own thermal baths, indoor (the most beautiful) but not external, and the Tamina thermal baths, in the same building but independent, and only external. The former are much more expensive than the latter. Both are actually inaccessible, one because of an infinite queue, the other because there are no more tickets for sale. - during my phone call to prepare for my visit, I was told that it was not necessary to book. I still tried, but the reservation system does not work ("bad request" regardless of the service selected). Management lets customers queue for hours without coming to meet them with the slightest explanation. However, given the complexity of this system of separation between hotel and terms, each with their separate baths, their different prices, their infinite queue or their sold out tickets, this seems to be the least we can do. In short, a wasted day due to lack of clear information on the website or by telephone, due to management leaving the customer in the lurch and having obviously never put themselves in their place. A shame for Switzerland where is usually so well thought out!

One of the best spas (for me) in the world. Have been here probably a 100 times over the years. Just keep coming back for more. Its location is so perfect for when you are coming back from a ski day and want to relax and wait for the traffic to dissipate. But coming here just for the spa is worth it on its own. Also great in the summer. It's difficult not to have a good and relaxing time here.

The facilities are ok. Nice but the customers are the worst. Super ignorant and ruining things like the resting rooms and the sound therapy. Beautiful facilities, some of the best in the world, but ruined by gross humans who can't follow the rules.

Great thermal spa with a very wide range of pools and saunas. The bistro also offers fine and healthy food. Special mention should be made of the large sauna Pandscjaft with the themed infusions. A really great and relaxing experience.

I enjoyed this place a lot! The main area was certainly a lot louder than the sauna area. They really have a sauna for everyone.

The thermal bath is nice, but it felt rather crowded, especially given we where on a Friday and the price. The sauna has great amenities, but I think its super weird that there are no towels provided for the sauna. Safe for the sauna included in my gym membership I haven’t seen that so far in a spa. Especially not given the rather high price. You can rent them, but with 5.- per towel it’s quite expensive again.

The sauna area is worth 5 stars. Great infusions. But a little more action would be good. Most of the time they are (unfortunately) "rituals"/"meditation infusions", which are clearly less popular and less attended! The staff at the entrance and in the “Café Therme” give me a primitive impression. Probably poorly paid. There is a lack of friendliness, professionalism, commitment. You can tell they hate their job. And that's why there is one star less.

As a hotel guest at the Grandhotel Bad Ragaz you have free access to the thermal baths, which is of course really pleasant. We really liked the sauna area and the infusion we took part in was great. Major renovation work has already been announced in the bathroom itself, I think it will be a top thermal spa again.

Very nice thermal spa with a good restaurant and a peeling bar that is open three times a day. Everyone can put together their own peeling here.

Super nice thermal bath, friendly staff, always helpful, price is very ok for all use in the bath. It is very beautiful in the evening and in winter when it snows. Highly recommended in bad weather.

Nice place but quite crowded. Where there on Friday mornig and the parking lot was already almost complete as well then the baths where really crowded so we missed a few ones. The price is ok, if it would be less crowded. Better go with public transportation because the parking lot is expensive.

Top price-performance ratio for the day spa ticket! The sauna area is beautifully designed and very diverse. The professionally carried out infusions in the Kelo sauna are a really great experience and definitely worth a visit.

Amazing relaxation, cold water 17 degrees C and right next to it 39 degrees C is great for the body, beauty, I recommend it to everyone 😍😍😍 I have beautiful memories of Switzerland

Once again a great experience to relax and linger. The well-celebrated sauna infusions are a particular highlight. Only the unreasonable "lounger occupiers" ala Mallorca attract negative attention. Despite very clearly visible indications, a consistently older generation here tromps to the loungers in the relaxation room of the sauna with towels and bags and occupies them for hours. There is absolutely no intervention on the part of employees. In some cases over 50% of the loungers were occupied without anyone lying on them. This should be monitored more closely for everyone's benefit.

Wonderful resort. The bathroom is beautifully done and it is really idyllic. I particularly like the cold (17 degrees)/warm pool (39 degrees). Before you go to the bathroom you can eat and drink comfortably in the cafe. Everything freshly made and very tasty. I think price/performance is ok. Always happy to come back.

If you want to buy tickets online on the same day, that's not possible, that's missing the point, dear people. So you have to wait in line if you want. But that's why I decided on a different bathroom for a family of 6 people. Not very smart of you. greeting

The thermal baths are super beautiful, everything is perfect. But if you stand in line forever when you go in because the employees are working at a snail's pace, I think that's incredibly bad. It used to be cheaper and faster, now it is much more expensive and slower. It really doesn't make any sense and discourages you from coming more often. It's a shame ☹️

I liked the bathroom. I was missing a shower downstairs by the cloakroom. You have to remember to take the shower supplies with you.

You may have to wait at the entrance, but it's worth it. The thermal baths are not overcrowded either.

Love the standard here, they have limited no. of visitors so it's not too crowded. I just found out that they also have Textilsauna on site 🤣 always paid to use the other one before. Safeguard is very strict with using the mobile there as it's prohibited. Please respect the rules and the privacy of other guests. Staff are very nice, the massage there also recommended. They are having major renovation this summer so please check before visiting.

Beautiful thermal baths with easy access. But age shows. There is peeling and crumbling everywhere and there are lots of dirt spatters on the walls. Revision is necessary.

Taking one sauna out of operation when it is at 100% capacity and having a special infusion in another for an additional charge (CHF 49) that blocks the sauna for 2 hours is not appropriate

For 1 sauna session lasting 2 hours, a waiting time of 60 minutes must be planned! ... BUT ... once inside, you won't stop ... heaven is literally brought to earth during the infusions! Great selection of songs and essential oils!

There is usually a long waiting time before and after the holidays, as there is only a thermal bath nearby. Basically very relaxing, thank you for that. However, if you go there often you will notice brittle floor tiles and worn-out materials, and showering is by no means relaxing. Spacious cabins for smaller bathing/relaxation pleasure. I hope it will be renovated soon and not be made too expensive because relaxation is very important and the price can be stressful depending on the service.

The thermal bath is very nice and clean, but the staff is very unfriendly... A few days ago there was an incident where a young woman collapsed. The first aid arrived very late. In addition, she walked very leisurely to the incident and repeatedly lectured the young lady that she should drink more instead of checking what was going on. The employee who handed out the warming towels and informed the paramedics was also very unfriendly. He was asked to organize a drink or a cup. His answer, he has nothing. Even after that he didn't try. The behavior was very unprofessional and not very helpful. We were disappointed to see this from such a popular hot spring resort. I understand that in an emergency situation everything doesn't always go smoothly, but the paramedics and the employees were there with so little commitment and heart, I was shocked. Both were happy about the situation. A visitor to the thermal bath who also came to help had much more heart and mind. Many thanks to the man with heart and mind!

A nice thermal bath in itself. I would have liked to give it 4 stars, but since the price-performance ratio wasn't right at all, I deducted one star. We only went to the sauna area, so my review will focus on that. What we liked: - simple but beautiful sauna facility - Modern design of the interior with foot baths, showers and niches to store bags - nice outdoor area around a small pond - very clean - pleasant, professional infusions every hour on the hour Unfortunately, there were also some things that we didn't like or were missing: - There were relatively too few loungers for the number of guests. - In addition, the loungers and relaxation areas were very small and therefore many of the loungers were difficult to reach, which meant it was constantly restless and you couldn't really relax. - The staff did not pay attention to the respectful behavior of the guests or draw attention to it (but were otherwise always friendly). People in swimwear were often present. Loungers were reserved with towels and bags throughout the day. During infusions, people spread themselves extremely wide and did not slide even at the request of other sauna goers, which meant that some interested parties were unable to take part in the infusion. - Unfortunately the bistro is completely overpriced. Both of our coffees were cold. Some dishes were not on the menu. We paid around 20 CHF for 2 (cold) coffees and a nut croissant - that's expensive even for Switzerland. - Admission included CHF 58 per person. just the sauna area. Unfortunately there was no warm pool or anything like that. We really missed that because we didn't want to pay the additional charge of CHF 14 to be able to use the thermal bath. - I doubt whether another 10.50 CHF is justified for parking in the hotel's own parking garage - since there isn't much else around the complex, only guests who already leave 100 francs park here anyway. What actually annoyed us: There are 7 saunas advertised online, which is simply wrong. There are de facto 4 saunas and a steam bath: Kelo sauna, Nera sauna and Finnish sauna/bio sauna (this is the same room, but is heated to different temperatures and humidity on different days - so if you are there for one day you can only use one of them). In the Pirts sauna you can book the "Pirts ritual" for a slim surcharge of 49 CHF and the "infrared sauna" is just a room in which you sit on futuristic wooden chairs with an infrared lamp in the backrest - interesting concept, but not one Sauna. Conclusion: A really nice sauna that unfortunately wants to be more than it is. If the whole thing hadn't been more expensive than our previous visits to much larger and more diverse thermal baths, the verdict certainly wouldn't have been so harsh. There will therefore be no further visit.

I always enjoy going to this beautiful thermal spa. If possible, during the week as there are slightly fewer people. After the various baths, you can also go to the sauna area. This offers a great variety. I'm thrilled with the whole expansion. Everything was very nicely done. You can relax and enjoy there. There are also various offers such as massage, beauty, etc. I have never used these before, but it would certainly be nice to pamper yourself there. But must be booked in advance.

Nicely done spa. The atmosphere is nice but the location is amazing. I have been to better spa in switzerland but I highly recommend it combined with an excursion to the mountains or just to get away from the city. What I really enjoyed though is the sauna area, which is amazingly well designed, with much less people than the main area and you can effortlessly relax and enjoy the different temperatures sauna as well as the hamam. The massage was also professionally made and we really enjoyed it.

Beautiful thermal baths all in white and with the perfect bathing temperature! Unfortunately it will soon be renovated for several months, so it's better to check beforehand.

Very nice thermal baths in the middle of the Swiss mountains. Personally, the only thing I'm missing here is a brine pool. Everything else here is tip-top. The staff is also very friendly, as you would expect from Switzerland. I'd love to come back.

Reminds me of a Grand Budapest hotel movie, in the most positive of associations, and with much better conditions. Wonderful place to relax and disconnect.

We took sauna and thermal bath. First you come up the stairs and there is a huge white hall with many pools. Pleasant space and the pools are well placed. It's fun to see how many guests have picked up the warming blanket. Used almost all the pools, then went to the sauna. Wow, very luxuriously lovingly built! All clean! Sauna program in the Kelo (or Kelos?) is really great! What I think would be great is that you can expand the sauna further with a pool for nude bathing. :) Ps; I would have loved to take a photo of the sauna, but it's understandably not allowed. I'd love to come back for that!

Very scenic spa but too expensive for the services available. A few two hours for those who also choose the sauna. The bathroom area has a small number of hydromassages. The recently renovated sauna area has a small pool of cold water outside only that is not well positioned. Lots of space but little used. The three of us paid 198 Francs for the bathing area plus sauna for two hours plus an additional hour. Toll parking.
