Great restaurant, highly recommended! Super service, nice atmosphere and delicious food! We had as starter tasty scallops (Jakobsmuscheln) in a small pan, as a main dish ribeye with truffles french-fries and spinach & filet steak with lobster tail and potato gratin. The meat was made on the BBQ-grill and tasted awesome. As dessert we had ice cream with an esspresso and finally a grappa. Definitevely a place I will visit again!

Good welcome. We recommend booking in advance. The menu is complete and has lots of choice. The service is fast and the temperature of the dishes is lukewarm, which is a shame. We enjoyed our meal, the cooking of the food, the taste and the seasoning. We ordered: - QuinoaBurger 29 Fr. - Mussels / Miesmuscheln 28 Fr. The quality/price ratio seems correct for the place. The portions are correct without being generous. Less than 50 Fr per person with the aperitif.

The atmosphere is really nice and cozy, service is super friendly and you feel like you're in a family restaurant. All the dishes were tasty and you can tell they have good product quality. I highly recommend it for a lovely dinner!

We went for dinner on a Saturday night (we booked a table beforehand since it was a planned weekend getaway). Right when we entered the dining area on the ground floor, we were instantly amazed by the warmth of the restaurant and the cute traditional atmosphere. We have tried the beef tartare, soup, fillet and cordon bleu and everything was impeccable! The service was absolutely top notch! We will for sure come back here next time we visit Bad Ragaz!

Stopped in for lunch spontaneously and went home totally excited. The best tartare I've ever eaten, in a secluded garden with a beautiful view. The service was very attentive and friendly, the recommended wine was perfect. We'll be back, even if we have to travel all the way from Zurich.

We were at the Gasthof Löwen in Bad Ragaz by chance. What can I say: everything was perfect, very good food, attentive service and extremely friendly. Only the reddish plates don't quite match the ambience and the food. We'd love to come back.

I highly recommend coming here for dinner if you visit Bad Ragaz. I had a pata negra pork cutlet that came with my choice of veggie and side ( I chose summer vegetables and truffle parmesan fries) and it was a huge portion for the price! The atmosphere is great and well decorated in traditional Swiss style with beautiful wooden ceilings. But watch out for the surely haunted dress in the corner ;) Super good value, friendly staff and overall great experience. Reservation recommended.

Having dinner here was an amazing experience, Andy was a perfect host, he guided us through the menu, we couldn’t get better food and quality, simply: scrumptious!! i wish I can rate it 6 stars. Having dinner outside hearing the little river flowing while the birds are chirping was marvelous.

Upscale restaurant with grill specialties. Well attended - without a reservation it will be difficult. There is a specialty here that is rarely on the menu: snails with herb butter. The tartare is very good. The fries with truffles too. There is still room for improvement when it comes to dessert. Rather expensive.

Last night is my first dining experience at Löwen. Not far from my home actually, but I just looked for something special event to get experience here. And yesterday was my Husband’s birthday so I booked table which was so easy through the website. And then I wrote in the message that I would like to order small cake and candle to surprise my husband. And yesss.. it worked. They put not even candle but small firework on top of the cake! Sooooo amaaaazing!!! Our small celebration worked sooo well. Thank you Löwen. Last night is unforgettable moment. And the last but not least, your food is soooo fantastic! Ever!!! Highly recommended!

This is a nice small restaurant. Excellent Swiss food, nice service friendly to foreigners. Nicely decorated with a small open kitchen without the smells in the dining area. Conveniently located in the center of the city. A place I’d come again next time I’m here in Bad Ragaz.

As well as the ingredients can be freely chosen. The PATA NEGRA cutlet: Was excellent. On the pink and very delicate. Super fine food and surprisingly inexpensive! The finest beef, delicious pasta and outstanding bread settings. We, a family with two teenagers and a limited appetite, ordered 3 starters and 2 main courses with 4 plates each. No problem. The service was always friendly and attentive.

Der Löwen bietet eine kleine Karte mit frisch zubereiteten Gerichten. Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft und beim Gastgeber merkte man, dass er mit vollem Herzblut dabei ist. Die meisten Winzer kennt er persönlich und kann sehr gute Weinempfehlungen machen.

Die negativen Bewertungen verstehe ich überhaupt nicht. Das Essen, die Bedienung und das Ambiente waren super!

Could have been 3 stars, could have been 4 (I decided for 4 in the end because the food was actually really good and so was the beer). The food and the venue are great. We ordered Roesti and it was really well done. However, we did not appreciate it, when the manager of the restaurant takes our order and ridicules us for ordering one Roesti to share. Apparently, peoples appetites differ and one Roesti is easily big enough to feed two people. We almost felt pressured to order more and that simply did not sit well with us. Apart from that, our meal and our dessert were nice. The service overall was fine. Please stop pressuring people and let them order what they want.

Excellent food is served in a cozy living-room atmosphere by the super friendly owners. The food is of excellent quality with a nice selection of local wines.
