Greco in St. Gallen

Well, we're not coming anymore. It's a large snack bar with tables, nothing more. You make a reservation and the first thing you hear as a greeting is: "You have to be ready by 6:30 p.m.", which is absurd for a larger group. Eating is just like in a snack bar. Everything is fried and grilled in the same oil and many things have a fishy aftertaste. The ambience isn't really Greek, but they made an effort. The tables with the legs on the outside are probably the stupidest thing you could buy, sitting down normally without gymnastics is not possible. The service wasn't convincing, while we were eating, the building was being remodeled next door and the waitresses were forever discussing how they wanted to serve something.

Very nice place. Food very good and service very efficient.

This evening I went to Greco for dinner with my dad. The food was good, the portions were large. What I really liked was the service (Patricia) was very friendly and accommodating. It's definitely not the last time we've been there. Kind regards, Leyna

We were there with 2 young children 👍 girl staff is friendly ❤️ I ordered honey chicken (something like that with the name) not my fav, but it's ok. Curly fries def a plus 😍 love it And Bärgtee 😍😍 must order.

This restaurant is a must. My favorite! A haven of good food - always worth a visit. It's hard to imagine the map of good taste without it.

Pita was cold, chicken was very dry and generally very bland... I wanted to take the rest with me but didn't pack it and had better things to do. Quite expensive for the ratio!

The food came on time. Bravo I had a gyro and it was very dry.

Authentic and very nicely decorated restaurant. The starter plate and the Pulpo as a starter are simply great. The main course gyros mixed perfectly. The staff is very friendly and asks every time you go if everything is OK. The food came quickly even when the restaurant was fully booked. Gastronomy at a high level, if you love Greek cuisine you really have to go to Greco.

Staff was very friendly. The food was also better, pita chicken was very dry, house iced tea didn't taste good at all (it used to be different). Prices are now very high. Unfortunately I will avoid GRECO's in the future.

Great selection and ambience. Super courteous and friendly service. Kid friendly! One of my favorite restis in SG!

Too expensive,, one pita was worth 22 CHF,, I think it's the most expensive pita I have seen in Switzerland. The gyros plate( for 28 CHF) did not even have one pita bread, but a quarter of it instead..

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Don't go without reservation otherwise you will wait for a very long time.Main Dishes a bit disappointing however the starters and The KUKU-WAIA Salad was insanely delicious!

I don't understand why you can't order the plain pita (as shown on the board) and sit down and eat? Why do you always get the price of the side dish, even though you don't want to eat it because of the quantity? For some baked vegetables 10Fr. more is really too much. Amazing food ! Revisiting the classics all while remaining authentic. Not the cheapest but definitely worth the price !

As always, the food and service was very good. Even when my friend ordered the wrong dish, the dish was replaced. The only thing to take away is that it is very cold because the sliding door keeps opening because many people are also picking up the good food.

Only 1h30 for a pre-reserved table, plus slow service and, for 4 people, 4 side dishes and drinks were brought incorrectly and sometimes after repeated requests. 10 minutes before we had to leave we were asked if we would like to order dessert, which we declined. Beef very rich like chewing gum. About 25chf for pide very expensive. It is very loud in the restaurant, you cannot have a conversation with all 4 people at a table.

Then comes the longing for Greece. Very good food, friendly service and location invite you to linger. We would like to come again.

The food was very good, we had a falafel pita and chicken grill plate, followed by coffee and baklava with walnuts. The reason I don't give a five star rating is the price. Too expensive for my opinion. The service was very nice.

One of the best pitas I ever had. Enjoyed the fact that it is not overloaded with some kind of sauce and you can feel the natural and quality tastes of the ingredients. I’ve chose the Poseidonos pita with prawns - AMAZING 🤌🏻

Greek restaurant in the center of St. Gallen, right next to a parking garage. The food was delicious and offered the taste of real Greek food. The "Classic Lamb" gyros tasted great! The prices are elevated however the service was great and food quality was good. The tables outside on a sunny day at noon were all occupied, luckily we made a reservation in advance.

Berg beautiful store. Excellent service fast, helpful and kind. The main courses could have been better. Two of our table who had the chicken skewer complained that the meat wasn’t the freshest and could have taste better overall. Everything else we had was very well prepared and tasty.

It used to be better, unfortunately you have become very expensive and I would advise against eating lunch or taking the Greek salad as a side dish... And why are your VEGAN pitas and other dishes the most expensive on the menu????

We had Christmas dinner there once and it was very good. Unfortunately it was a bit cold in winter because we were placed at the entrance and the sliding door always opened.

Food good, service nice and quick. The only thing that's not possible with an open kitchen is that the dining room smells completely like a kitchen. Our clothes go to the dry cleaners first. After about 2 hours in the guest room, my eyes were burning. There is always a gray mist in the kitchen that escapes into the dining room rather than through the ventilation. When asked whether the ventilation was running at all, it was very hot in the open kitchen. From a health point of view, it's a disgrace for guests and kitchen staff, so it's probably not anymore. Since the prices are low, I can do without the aroma.

The menu is gigantic and the portions are large. However, the dishes were too salty or too spicy for me. The service was very friendly and efficient despite being very hectic.

Food not bad. But somehow on the menu they gave us there were only pita combo, and you only see the menu and price for a single pita inside the store. We sit outside and didn't know it was possible to order only a pita. This really made us feel suspicious they were fooling around with ppl not familiar with the restaurant.

Delicious Greek food in all kinds of variations. Very attractively presented and also good for sharing. The outside area is unfortunately very crooked and a bit cramped.

Very little seasoning, average taste - too expensive. Small portion. Bottle of mineral water extra expensive!

The atmosphere in Greco is very nice and you immediately feel very comfortable. The service is very friendly & attentive. The selection of Greek dishes is very well thought out and there is something for everyone. Highly recommended are the Kolokithakia as a starter, a pork pita as a main course and the Loukoumades with Nutella as the crowning glory. 😊 We'd love to come back!

Good greek cuisine but a bit too salty with a nice and well mannered staff! The restaurant itself feels almost like Greece even if there is some blue elements missing in the deco. The only "problem" was the music, that was generic low class pop music instead of nice greek traditional tunes! I will be back for the food and the nice staff but I will not be expecting to travel to Greece when I will enter this restaurant! So go for the food and try the lamb if you like meat!
