Perfect lunch tasted, varied in taste, friendly service in a typical rustic Ticino location.

Beautiful environment: everyone is always in a good mood, from the owners to the waiters. Typical grotto card with some variation of the month. Everything is always fresh and good!

We had a great time in this restaurant. Everything was perfect, the service, the food, the atmosphere.. we all chose hunting (either deer or venison stew). Both were very good, I have rarely eaten so well. The southern Italian wine to accompany it all was superb. We paid around 50.- per person, very cheap! Thanks to the team for the work and for the time we had.

I've been coming here for years to eat game during the fall holidays. I have never had a better venison fillet anywhere. Absolutely amazing! Also: Cozy, very friendly and great value for money.

On July 27th, 2023 the lunch menu again with mixed salad, piccata and risotto for 17.--. Our dog also received fresh water. Game season again on October 7th, 2022 with fine deer fillet and vermicelles. As always, the service was very friendly. Today, July 14th, 2022, we had a lunch menu for the first time at a great price/performance and, as always, it tasted very good. The mixed menu salad is also very nice 👍😁 Great - every now and then - photos give an impression 😀 And here again - very good gnochi & risotto, service also super friendly

Very tasty restaurant which also has vegetarian options. The portions were rather small, but you could get refills at no additional cost. The food was delicious and the service was friendly.

The Grottino Ticinese is immersed in an enchanting glimpse of nature, among trees and plants. Excellent cuisine and courtesy are at home. We came first for dinner and returned the next day for lunch! We tasted the beef stew, the rabbit, the "Pan Vunc", the mushroom risotto... all delicious and excellent value for money. Thank you for your hospitality, we will definitely be back!

Food (chicory salad, grilled soft cheese, meatloaf and porcini mushroom risotto) was excellent from A to Z. Service friendly, attentive but on the slower side. All in all very, very good, one of my new favorite restaurants in Ticino!

Excellent evening at Grottino Ticinese. Smiling welcome, very appetizing dishes (bacon starter with glass of wine, trout with small vegetables and vitello tonnato (two seasonal dishes). Everything is homemade. Starter to share, two main courses, two desserts and a coffee at a lower price than reasonable, we will come back! Thank you very much to the whole team.

We were able to eat there yesterday and were thrilled. The service was great, the food was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We came with two small children and were given toys and two high chairs. Very family friendly. We would love to come back and can only recommend it.

What a find! Exceptional experience. We were the only native English-speakers in this lively little neighborhood restaurant packed with people on a rainy Tuesday in early May. The staff went out of their way to accomodate us without a reservation (strongly recommended) and wrote down a list of other restaurants when we tried to book a table for the following night only to learn that they are closed on Wednesdays. Having established that the people are great and the place is endearing, let me make clear that the food is just terrific. I suspect one can’t go wrong. Hyper-regional, flawlessly executed, and reasonably priced for the area. Could not have hoped for a better experience.

The service is top. Attentive, humorous and multilingual. The traditional dishes like Brasato or homemade meatloaf are perfect from A to Z. The portions also allow for a fine dessert (panna cotta, sorbet with grappa). The dog also got his water. Tutto perfetto!

It is a restaurant that is well worth going to if you are looking to get to know the gastronomic culture of Ticino. Claudio advised and guided us during our meal in a very professional and friendly manner. They served us the wine in a kind of "cup", following the customs of the area. The food was spectacular, especially the mushroom risotto, delicious! And for cheese lovers, I've only tried one, but I plan to come back another day to try the rest, because it tasted great too. The quality-price rate is good. I recommend it to you!

The food there is truly amazing. 2nd time and still no disapointment. Steaks are cooked perfectly (to your liking) and the risotto is very intense. Every sunday you can eat marvellous rabbit there.

The food was as expected and came quickly and well prepared. The service was very nice and could speak several languages. Unfortunately they were probably understaffed because we were forgotten after the main course so the dessert didn't even come so we simply paid after waiting half an hour.

It was carelessly prepared and the portions were small.

Porcini mushroom risotto and polenta were great, the portions could have been a little larger. As is usually the case in the grottos, the selection of desserts was small. Prices ok. 5min. from the bus stop.

As always, a local, quality experience, with friendly and warm staff. If you are looking for a real grotto, without moving away from urban reality, the Grottino Ticinese is the right choice! The menu in dialect (possibly translated for tourists), the polenta cooked in the copper cauldron, the chicory with onions, the braised meat, the traditional desserts, the local wine, the granite tables, and everything you expect from a visit to a grotto, you can find it at the Grottino! I assure you that you will not be disappointed, take advantage of the fresh evening air and enjoy the atmosphere. Best regards and good work to all the staff
