Very rustic place as I like it. We ate two first courses.... Overall very good... Only the gnocchi were not very consistent... I don't know if it was due to the type of flour or the cooking... The ravioli however were perfect.... I will go back definitely to test other things

We went to the Linet grotto for a family lunch, a very familiar environment, very kind and attentive staff, if notified in advance, to the needs of the little ones such as child seats or entertainment material. The delicious cuisine is reminiscent of home cooking, simple and tasty. There is also a small bowling alley on site. Multilingual staff, including Italian, German and English. It's worth stopping

It was recommended by the book Back to the Foots. It’s really good. The outdoor dining area is very comfortable, the service is very good, and the Risotto is delicious😋. Visited again and will never forget the good taste.

Carmen and her team made us very welcome indeed. The accomodation was clean, simple and more than adequate for our two nights in Chiasso after completing the Via Gottardo walk from Basel. We ate in the rustic restaurant on both nights. The gnocchi was delicious, but the venison was sublime! It was, without doubt, the best meal of our five week trip! We loved this little bit of authentic Ticinese 'rustico'. Thank you again Carmen! Recommended!

Here you feel at home and Luca welcomes you with his smile and his maximum availability. His dishes are dressed on Sunday, it seems like you can hear your grandmother shouting: "it's ready..."

Sunday evening I got the takeaway ribs... what can I say... they were exceptional!!! Tasty, soft with a good side of baked potatoes. The owners were very kind... top service! I highly recommend it to those like me who appreciate good grilled meat. Greetings!

Luca prepared an excellent and plentiful dinner for us, the company was sublime... the place was well looked after and even if there were people we could talk and joke in peace... and then more laughter with a very entertaining game of bowls. ..so it can get better than this...we will definitely be back...for me it's a super yes👏👏😊

A great and warm hostess, wonderful traditional local food, fine wine unexpectedly impressed us and were very pleasantly surprised. The location is not quite ideal for a grotto, but everything is made up for with great attention to detail, good taste and good quality! Thank you for enjoyable and unforgettable hours.

Assortment of cantina assolutamente adapted to the occasion. Impeccable service. ******************* My restaurant for all occasions. I first entered it because of the exceptional traditional food. Then I realized that I could also visit with private or corporate guests: the menu is always suitable. Wine range always enables the right pairing between food and Baccos Nectar. Table service top!

Un vero Grotto con succulenti prelibatezze nostrane nella cittadina di Chiasso. Il servizio è fenomenale: veloci, pieni di risorse e con un tatto speciale per i bambini. Abbiamo bevuto pure ottimi vini, tanto da annotarci il nome da comperare per casa. Insomma si mangia e beve benissimo, il personale mette di buon umore tutti e riesce a soddisfare pure i palati dei più giovani, senza dover ricorrere alle solite patatine fritte. Senza dimenticare la possibilità - per chi si fa voler bene - di farsi una partita a bocce. Bravi davvero.

Very good food, we can only recommend this!

The pesciolini were not crispy and were soaked in far too much vinegar and oil. I thought it was carelessly made, no fine herbs on the fish, just fried and soaked in vinegar and oil, it didn't taste good. Likewise the cappuccino, in some bars in Ticino I have had tastier cappuccini. The service was perhaps a bit rusty due to the Corona phase. Price performance is not right for me.

In cerca di un ristorante dove pranzare tardi di domenica avendo sballato la nostra tabella di marcia e voglia di assaggiare la cucina locale. Siamo stati fortunati a trovare questo indirizzo su Trip Advisor e ringraziamo ancora della gentile accoglienza che abbiamo ricevuto. Durante la rassegna gastronomica di Ottobre ogni ristorante che partecipa propone tre piatti tipici da assaggiare con un ottimo Merlot locale. Ne abbiamo assaggiato due squisiti: mortadella cotta con fagioli e polenta e filetto di cervo alla griglia con contorno di funghi porcini, verdure saltate, patate e insalatina. Tra i piatti del menu regolare un buonissimo brasato con polenta scura. Prima di questo abbiamo assaggiato un buon salame di cervo per ingannare l’attesa. Per finire in bellezza una deliziosa torta tiepida di castagne. Torneremo con piacere.

Typical Ticino grotto perfectly tidy and clean. Very good local cuisine. Very kind and attentive managers. I go there but I recommend it to my clients: I've never made a bad impression! Right Swiss ratio for quality and price. I always recommend it!

In posizione ombreggiata sotto il Penz; in questo periodo di calura è il luogo ideale per trovare un po' di refrigerio. La carne alla griglia è cucinata molto bene e servita con ottimi contorni. Grande carta dei vini a prezzi davvero interessanti. Buono anche il servizio e prezzi nella media della Regione. Una bella riscoperta da continuare a frequentare.

Un simpatico grotto, molto accogliente e con personale socievole ed efficiente. Prezzi nella media per la Svizzera/Ticino, quindi moderatamente alti per una clientela italiana ma comunque come contropartita c'è stata carne di ottima qualità e cotta alla perfezione.

Un po’ caro, buono ma caro per un pranzo, ottima location , tanti posteggi, però poca gente, eravamo solo noi, merita di più, magari per pranzo se offrisse un menu si riempirebbe di più, sicuramente con il caldo dell estate si riempirà

Mi sembra doveroso anteporre alla competente, calorosa accoglienza dello staff che con attenta discrezione segue la buona permanenza a tavola, la qualità dei cibi proposti che è sempre di prima scelta, ben cucinati e proporzionati alle nostre aspettative. I locali visitati sono classici, accoglienti e ordinati. La veranda, coperta, è una vetrata sul verde montuoso, sportiva. Al piano superiore un locale ben disposto, con giusti spazi destinati a momenti intimi o romantici, per famiglie e per gruppi di amici. I bagni, che a parer mio anticipano la qualità del locale, si trovano sempre in perfetto stato sia igienico sia di accessori.Prezzi modesti in rapporto alla qualità.

Wenn Du mal in Chiasso bist: komme hierher. Schön auch zum draußen sitzen. Es gibt alles auf der Karte was Du von einem Tessiner Grotto erwartest.Lustig: ist direkt an einer Bahnlinie. Man könnte meinem das wäre störend. Ist es aber nicht. Alle 10 oder 15 Minuten rollt eine Bahn daher (wirklich: die rollt nur. Ohne Antrieb. Kommt aus Italien und ist an dieser Stelle stromlos. Koppelt sich erst etwas weiter wider in den Strom. Stört nicht. Die Kinder werden es sogar sehr mögen.

Buone grigliate, ben servite con ottimi vini locali. Servizio attento in una location tanto bella in inverno che fresca in estate.Prodotti locali scelti. Ritorno periodicamente, bravi!
