Grotto Monte Creda in Lugano

We had about ten people for lunch. Everything was delicious, from the polenta to the Corden Bleau to the desserts. The room is very nice and spacious. Very kind staff. We will definitely be back

we were a group of about 30 people....sliced ​​appetizer with cheese 1 dessert plate for 6 people....polenta and gorgonzola = tasteless and the cheese = a knob of gorgonzola...!!! Let's forget about the bread cake... the bread wasn't there... not even an apology or a digestive offered. Not to be returned!!!

We went for a drink. The views are stunning! The staff are very sweet, there's a farm with rabbits, goats and chicken nearby, a playground, some friendly cats. The interior of the restaurant looks very cozy and beautiful. I would gladly return for a meal! I loved the place! It's a hidden gem.

Top Grotto not far from Lugano. The place is very simple and rustic. We came for dinner in the summer, and had a nice table outside. The cold cuts and cheese plate we had as starter was excellent (large portion). As mains, we had the a grilled tomahawk, luganighetta and spare ribs. Everything was delicious: fresh and tasty (again, large portion). We also had gnocchi and polenta as side dishes, and they were ok. We didn’t bother to check the wine list (10 people) and had the house wine, which was good, but next time I will check better what is available. Overall, a very good price for the quality.

A restaurant hidden in the mountains. The road up is scary because it is a single road, but the scenery is beautiful. There is no English menu. The staff is friendly and explains everything. A restaurant with a beautiful view. Pork ribs, mushrooms, and antipasta are all so delicious.

We came to Grotto Monte Creda to have lunch on Sunday. The food was really good: we shared a mix of charcuterie&cheese, and we both took the polenta (with porcini and with meat), which was very tasty. The place is super cosy; we had the chance to have a table near the fireplace. On top of that, the service is excellent.

Very nice surroundings, you need a navigation system to find it, no, not necessarily well signposted from a junction. The grotto is located high on Monte Creda and has a beautiful rustic and pleasant construction. Nice terrace and small playground, beautiful view, see photos. A meat platter with cheese and warm rolls for 2 people as an aperitif for 4 people was enough. The menu is manageable and has something for all tastes. The grill had spare ribs on it, so two of us grabbed it. The food was really good, pleasant portions, even if there could have been a few more side dishes. But quality is top. Price/performance ratio is reasonable, but rather in the higher segment. Dessert, the pannacotta was a dream, the Sachertorte and torta dela Nina (low cream cake) were really delicious. The coffee is very small but tastes perfect. Thank you for the nice service and the great hospitality. Always my pleasure.

Gestori simpatici e ottimo servizio. Cucina sana e di qualità, con molta varietà. A soli 15 min da Lugano, ti ritrovi in collina, dove trovi relax, tranquillità e temperature piacevoli. Ottimo anche per chi vuole passeggiare nel verde e poi gustarsi una buona cucina. Ottimo il T-Bone Steak !!!

Après avoir marché plus de 5 heures autour des Denti Della Vecchia nous nous sommes arrêtés souper dans cette auberge. Excellent accueil, personnel très gentil, une tagliata mista copieuse, des tagliatelles au bolets frais, un régal, et des desserts élégamment servis sur ardoise. Le tout pour un prix très raisonnable (le dc de merlot de la maison est à 3,50, l'expresso à 2 frs, etc.Nous vous recommandons cette adresse

Sono stato con la mia famiglia in questo locale e ci siamo trovati molto bene. Abbiamo mangiato i medaglioni di cervo, assaggiato il carpaccio di cervo al tartufo e per finire la torta di castagne fatta in casa.. tutto buonissimo.Le cameriere molto gentili, servizio veloce e il proprietario ci ha offerto caffé e digestivi.Anche se bisogna fare un po’, di strada per arrivarci ne vale sicuramente la pena. Torneremo.

Siamo stati in questo Grotto per mangiare la sella ( prenotandola prima), in 8 adulti e 7 bambini. Il ristorante era pieno e l’antipasto ci é stato servito rapidamente. Poi però per 2 ore non abbiamo più visto niente, neanche le tagliatelle ordinate per i bambini. Dopo vari solleciti alle 21.30 é arrivata la sella, carne buona , contorni scarsi e presentata male. Per i bambini sono arrivate le tagliatelle ma un piatto era riempito solo a metà , abbiamo quindi richiesto di di prepararlo.Alle 22.00 abbiamo richiesto il ripasso della sella che é arrivato alle 22.30 e alle 23.00 ci siamo alzati per andare a pagare alla cassa perché le cameriere erano stavano facendo altro al posto di sparecchiare i tavoli....( stavano asciugando bicchieri,...) ...ovviamente abbiamo reclamato e ci hanno offerto i caffè.Cameriere gentili , servizio però disorganizzato e cibo discreto, sicuramente non lo consiglio. Eravamo già stati diverse volte e siamo sempre stati bene ma dopo questa vota non torneremo più!

Per una cenetta senza figli abbiamo scelto questo carinissimo grotto dove gustare la sella di capriolo che adoriamo.Purtroppo siamo andati via senza mangiarla e senza nemmeno vederla.Avevamo riservato per le 19.30 di sabato e siamo arrivati alle 19.35. Nell’attesa abbiamo chiesto un aperitivo che abbiamo consumato all’esterno. Una volta rientrati e dopo un po’ di attesa (ristorante pieno) siamo stati consigliati dalla gentilissima cameriera a prendere un antipasto visto che per la sella ci sarebbero voluti 20 minuti. Periodo di tartufi dunque ci ha proposto 2 uova con sopra il tartufo. Aspettate, mangiate (squisite), usciti a fumare una sigaretta nell’attesa della sella, poi un’altra. Entriamo e chiediamo se il nostro capriolo fosse ancora nel bosco o già nel forno, e ci dicono che sta arrivando. Sfilano davanti a noi tante selle per gli altri tavoli, e noi aspettiamo. Cominciando a spazientirci per la fame un’altra cameriera molto gentile ci porta il fornelletto su cui metterà (o meglio, su cui avrebbe dovuto mettere) la sella. Ma niente sella. Alle 21.20 ci porta i piatti, caldi ma vuoti. Ma niente sella. Richiedo quanto manca visto che la nostra baby sitter ci aspetta a casa per le 22, e mi viene detto che sta arrivando. Alle 21.35, dopo dunque 2 ore di attesa, ci alziamo dal tavolo per andarcene (affamati e tristi di non aver mangiato la sella tanto desiderata). La cameriera ci porta in cucina da questo fantomatico proprietario - che è anche lo chef deduciamo, e che lo chef lo fa molto bene ma il contatto con i clienti non è il suo forte - che esce dalla cucina e al nostro “sono due ore che aspettiamo” ci risponde stizzito e antipaticamente “eeeeh è sabato sera!!”, come se fosse nostro l’errore. Le uova e l’aperitivo ha avuto perlomeno la finezza di offrircele anche quando abbiamo voluto pagare (questo la cameriera, non il cuoco).Ora io mi dico, se non siete in grado di servire il ristorante diminuite i tavoli. Se non siete in grado di servire i clienti lasciate stare.Dispiaciuti davvero, grotto molto bello e cibo ottimo (o così sembrava perlomeno, le uova sono squisite) dunque super consigliato per questo aspetto. Torneremo, forse, prendendo prima una settimana di vacanza dal lavoro per l’attesa. Peccato davvero non aver sentito delle sincere scuse dal proprietario che avrebbero lasciato un sapore diverso nella bocca e non questo amaro e questa fame.

Bellissimo posto immerso nella natura a pochi minuti di macchina da Lugano, terrazza esterna con vista imperdibile e locali molto accoglienti.Abbiamo pranzato domenica con la famiglia, personale molto cortese che ti fa sentire a casa, ottimi piatti di selvaggina e polenta con funghi fantastica.Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, sicuramente ci ritorneremo.

Great place, very welcoming and great food!

A very hidden restaurant. But if you dare to drive further and further into the forest - even if you already doubt that you will actually come across a restaurant - then you will be surprised. Apparently quite popular with locals, it offers a wonderful view and a restaurant with a real southern Swiss attitude to life. The food was simple and the menu was manageable, but really good. The ribs fresh from the grill tasted very good. We can only recommend a visit here!

Come spesso accade in estate avevo voglia di puntine. Arrivato al grotto bella sorpresa perchè ci sono dei giochi che mia nipote di 2 anni ha gradito. Buona accoglienza da parte del gestore, ottima tagliata mista nostrana presentata bene e via con le puntine; cotte molto bene, saporite e abbondanti, accompagnate da pommes frites (lo so che non sono da grotto ma quanto son buone) e niente dessert perchè non ce la facevamo più. Prezzo ragionevole.

Capita di andare in questo Grotto almeno due volte all’anno ...una d’estate è una in autunno... beh d’estate si mangia il formaggino , la grigliata , i salumi e quello che offre la cucina...In autunno ci andiamo per mangiare la sella di capriolo! Poche parole ...vi dico che è ottima e ne vale veramente la pena !Buon app a tutti a chi sale in Creda!

Ci vado di tanto in tanto e mi sono sempre trovato molto bene. Personale molto gentile e disponibile e locale pulito. Bella e grande terrazza con vista. Belle anche le sale col camino (peccato che in una ci sia la televisione che può disturbare). Da sottolineare come una sera, senza averla prenotata in precedenza, telefonando per riservare un tavolo abbiamo chiesto la sella di capriolo e ci è stata cucinata, con tanto di contorni, al momento. Il locale ha un grande posteggio esterno.

L'antipasto a base di affettati era ottimo (soprattutto il lardo). La grigliata mista di carne anche,ottima luganighetta,costine,puntine,costata e entrecôte. Il grotto è immerso nel verde,dunque anche con il caldo pazzesco di questi giorni si riesce a cenare in un clima fresco e ventilato. Prezzi adeguati.

Gentilezza da parte del personale e ottime le puntine. Panorama splendido! Adatto anche alle famiglie c'è posto per i bimbi per poter giocare. A pochi minuti dalla città ci si trova nella natura con ina splendida aria di montagna.

Posto stupendo per un pasto in totale relax siccome situato fuori da zone edificate ottima vista sulla natura , menù variegati tipici ticinesi , servizio ottimo , rapporto qualità prezzo giusto.

Premetto con Ari il proprietario ci conosciamo ma senza dubbio il trattamento ed il cibo soprattutto la carne sono al top. La sella è servita a tavola ed è superba. Isolato ma a 10 minuti di macchina da Lugano trovate un posto e della gente incantevole.

Per raggiungere il ristorante bisogna salire da Villa Luganese, 5 minuti d'auto in mezzo all natura. La vista dalla terrazza esterna é imprendibile. Il cibo é molto buono, nostrano e gustoso! Inoltre vi é una buona scelta di vini.Il Personale é molto accogliente.

Io e il mio compagno abbiamo avuto occasione di godere del piacere di una cena in un luogo ameno e piacevole.La cucina e il servizio sono a dir poco ottimi e più volte ci siamo trattenuti per ore in compagnia. Ottimo per coppie, famiglie, gruppi di amici. Sentirsi a casa qui è facile. Consigliatissimo!!

Abbiamo visitato il grotto per il brunch del 1. agosto festa nazionale Svizzera. Formaggi e salumi molto buoni, a mezzogiorno polenta e gorgonzola. Ambiente tranquillo e piacevole. Difficile giudicare il servizio in quanto buffet per la festa. Consiglio!

Cena infrasettimanale alla ricerca di un nuovo grotto in zona Lugano..Menù scarso, servizio mediocre come anche il cibo. Non ci tornerò!

Io e mia moglie decidiamo di provare un nuovo Grotto in zona Lugano per gustarci delle puntine alla griglia.. E fin qui tutto bene, per una serie di coincidenze ci ritroviamo in questa location .. Come già scritto ordiniamo proprio le puntine e comunque non ci sarebbe stata altra gran scelta in menù ... Pessime: fredde,affumicate,piene di nervi. Riferiamo al proprietario e la risposta è stata che verrà a casa nostra ad assaggiare come le facciamo noi. Punto , stop, si commenta da solo! Pagato il conto e ce ne siamo andati! Che altro dire...lo sconsiglio vivamente !!!

Sui monti sopra Villa luganese potrete trovare il Grotto monte creda. Arrivarci la prima volta può apparire complesso, ma con un po' di attenzione lo troverete facilmente. Attraverso uno splendido bosco arriverete ad un locale con uno spazio esterno fantastico, un vero balcone sopra Sonvico e gli altri paesi della valle. Mangiare tipico da Grotto ma di ottima qualità e per nulla turistico. Consigliata griglia nella stagione estiva e selvaggina in autunno. La scelta comunque è varia e adatta ad ogni esigenza. Se avete bambini, potranno giocare senza problemi negli ampi spazi verdi attorno alla terrazza, senza alcun problema legato alla presenza di auto. Locale sicuramente da provare.

On the day we ate there, they served a delicious pumpkin gnocchi dish that I still can't get out of my head. Cozy atmosphere in a relaxed setting in the mountains. The last stretch of road after you turn off from Ra Strada Cantonal is full of hairpin bends and is very narrow! For 2 primi, 2 secondi, 1/2 liter house wine, water, and 2 coffees, expect to pay approximately 80 euros. Call for reservations, and to see if they allow dogs (there is a no dogs allowed sign on the door). Our 2 small dogs were welcomed without any problems.
