Not at all professional, the usual restaurant passes by once and bye (just for the poor tourists who fall for it). Super expensive for what it offers.

We sat on the terrace to taste their succulent double cream meringue (a Gruyère specialty). Small downside to note; we had to wait at least 5-6 minutes before being received and then another good 5 minutes to receive the cards even though there weren't a lot of people there, as it was 4 p.m. However, the only person serving the interior and exterior was very friendly, even if a little overwhelmed by the situation. I recommend Viveen their double cream meringue!

Expensive for nothing (18.- for 2 meringues not made at home, 5 frozen blueberries, not even 1dl of creamy cream and a mint leaf). We were given a menu card for 7 people. Rude waitress and very slow service. Only the sight weakly catches up with everything and again. For cheaper and better we recommend the Gruyère restaurant route.

Deplorable. Starters and drinks ordered which were not served, the dishes served at the same time as the aperitif board, tasteless chalet macaroni... The only thing that was good was the board. We didn't even dare to have dessert or coffee because we were so excited to leave. We will not return and we do not recommend...

Very well located and cozy place. The dishes are very good, even if the potatoes served seemed "old" too soft in consistency and rough. Beyond that, the problem was really the slowness of the service. For 1 fondue we had to wait almost 1 hour after entry, even though there were not many people. We wondered if we hadn't been forgotten. Almost no visit from the server during the evening to see if everything was okay, except once at the end of the meal. We gave the benefit of the doubt and came back after 1 year and the service was no different. Too bad for a place like this.

The waitresses managed to find a place for my children and me (there were three of us) even though the restaurant was obviously full. I'm tall, I wanted to move the table away from the wall to be more comfortable. The waitress asked me to move the table closer to the wall, which I did. As I sat down again, I cracked my knee on one of the massive legs of the table. I was very, very hurt and everyone noticed it (waitresses included). It's a shame... Fondue and röstis were very good. However, too much pepper in my daughter's rösti. Fairly fast service. Didn't find an a la carte children's menu, don't you understand? Overall a nice experience. The waitress was very cute ;)

15 min wait for 1 coke and 1 beer, we were told that it was not possible to eat a fondue for 2 even though tables arrived after us and were still served fondues. The waitresses don't even come to us.

If only I had read the reviews here first... It's unbelievable what they allow themselves to do here. The service is catastrophic, to put it nicely. The fondue was bad and not enough. It seems to have been designed solely for tourists who come to eat cheese. As a Swiss, I have to say: it's a shame and never again.

The thinnest roastbeef I ever met in my life coming directly from fridge, useless fried potatoes coming from freezer and a salad that taste exactly like the ones prewashed and premaded bought at lidl... The friendly service is much too slow and we ordered inedible, thick, flavorless half-and-half fondues and the alcohol stove was turned off because the tank was empty!!! We returned the fondues, the following ones were identical, also inedible. We chose to leave the restaurant because we had the distinct impression that we wouldn't have anything better. It’s sad because Gruyères is a tourist village which partly explains why this restaurateur does not have to retain his customers.

I came here for buffet breakfast which was meh, but their terrace is huge and has an amazing view! That being said… I came alone in the morning and besides me only one table was taken by a group of 4. I decided to sit at a big table (with 4 chairs) on the other side of the terrace. However, the waitress approached me and said in quite a rude manner that I „have to“ (??) sit at a smaller table for 2… despite my assurance that I’ll be gone quite soon and apparently the place is already not that popular and people are just not coming in at that time… she insisted, being again very rude. Honestly, this is the first time in my life that I witness such poor customer treatment. Very well-known and renowned restaurant in Gruyère where you can find all the known specialties of the region and in particular fondue (Half-and-half and 100% Vacherin) and raclette. The melting was very good but difficult to adjust with the fondue pot. For desserts, you can of course taste the very successful Double cream, meringue, red fruits. The only downside is that the service is a little slow due to the very large room and very large terrace. Remember to arrive early and book before coming.

Coming to do a report on the castle, I had a wonderful and friendly welcome from the staff, I drank a delicious croissant coffee, and then unexpectedly met the family and the patriarch who was present. All the people at Gruyère Traditions are adorable and very friendly people, who welcome you with simplicity and professionalism. Unfortunately I couldn't stay longer, because I had to call for another report, but I would definitely come back, and accept your invitation to taste the fondue of course. I can only absolutely recommend this house, this restaurant, its shop, and of course the Gruyère, the person who makes it will be kind enough to give you some explanations. The best traditional restaurant in town! If you have the chance to come as an early bird, you’ll see the cheese maker preparing the the Original Guyère cheese in front of you. The waiters are talented, Yannick and Rocio the owners will make sure you’re enjoying the moment. Can’t wait to come back! PS: kids are welcome

A pure disaster! The table was only partially cleaned, instead of a spritzer we received a hot chocolate, mixed salad (entrée) was served with fondue, cutlery had to be requested, the fondue was then rejected. After 1 1/2 hours we brought the dishes to the counter and asked for the fondue, half an hour later I went to the counter and asked for the bill, 5 minutes later the fondue arrived, which we no longer wanted to eat. We were so disappointed in the high-priced restaurant with this very poor service that we paid and enjoyed the fondue in another restaurant. In addition, the staff regularly dropped cutlery and a family with 2 loud children sat behind us, even though some tables would have been better suited for a family. There are many other restaurants that offer much better service.
