Pleasant atmosphere, service on point (not too little/too much). Delicious food, so really tasty. And nice dialect is included for free 😉

Pleasant restaurant - good food

We were welcomed very friendly. The atmosphere is from the 60s, it is well maintained and very clean. The menu is clearly small, which I really appreciate. The food is fresh, with local products. Very hospitable from A to Z, we would love to come back.

We think that this ambience from the 60s makes the inn charming and cozy. Perfect cleanliness and always good fresh food, friendly service. It's vintage. We can only recommend it

Time has literally stood still here. Everything is old. Cleaned up, but could use a few touches to make it look friendlier. But we were served in a friendly manner (only drank coffee).

The food is wonderful. The menu is not too big, so the food is always fresh. Original ambience, as I have known it for years. I like it very much. Yes, UNIQUE is the perfect term. I hope it stays that way.

The Schnipo was good. Service is sometimes nice, sometimes not particularly motivated. Depending on the day and time.

The food and service was great. Unfortunately there are hardly any parasols outside. Many guests therefore left. So much potential with the wonderful terrace that wasn't used.

It's a lovely summery holiday atmosphere here with lots of swimming and boating in the canal next to the restaurant. Dogs love it too as they can walk free safely along the canal and even go for a swim if they like. We also had a lovely time at the restaurant, sitting outside in the sun with a view of the mountains after one on the many beautiful walks in the area along the canal. Their walnut pie was to die for. Second time we went, we shared a "gemischte" salad for a small additional fee. It was surprisingly good and more than enough for lunch!

Simply wonderful place to sit on their sunny terrace. Very friendly and fast service, fantastic cappuccinos and their walnut cake is to die for. Highly highly recommended.

Were on the well-occupied terrace in the afternoon; small afternoon menu; Fitness plate with crispy fish and sandwich were freshly prepared and good; The care was very nice; Price-performance ratio is ok... Nevertheless, you could do a lot more with this restaurant and also make the terrace much more attractive and guest-oriented

Chicken in the chorbli and sauce with it are super delicious. Mixed salad is always fresh and the salad dressing is delicious. Friendly service and usual prices.

A retro, cozy, rustic restaurant with a large terrace directly on the Linth. Family atmosphere, great service, and the food, just super good...

A bit old. When we visited there were a lot of people on the spacious terrace. Unfortunately little staff.

Saxon nature has many side channels of the Linth. The Linth Canal itself is very steeped in history. The canal flows through the cantons of Schwyz, St. Gallen and Glarus. LENGTH Route: 37 km 65.3 km (with Oberstafelbach, Sandbach and Linth Canal). A drain of Lake Walen and flows into Lake Zurich in Schmerikon. Construction work under the direction of Hans Conrad Escher began in 1807 thanks to his good political connections. The section of the canal near Mollis known today as the Escher Canal was opened in 1811. In 1816 the work on the canal between Walensee and the Grynau was completed.

Unfortunately nothing special. But it could be. Development potential is enormous.

The location of the restaurant is nice. Directly on the Linth. The area is particularly suitable for a walk or a refreshing swim in the warm season. I don't want to comment much on the restaurant itself. Short version: I have experienced a lot of terrible service over the years. Here, however, we manage to set the bar a little lower. A pity. Pure rudeness and incompetence. By the way, no cards of any kind are accepted. Cash is king. Contemporary? Every guest should decide for themselves. At least I couldn't think of a single reason to set foot in this restaurant again.

Beautifully located complex with a restaurant and swimming opportunities in summer as well as good hiking areas. some history from Wikipedia The tower, which has been preserved to this day and was mistakenly believed to be a Roman building for a long time, was built in the early 13th century by the Counts of Rapperswil to secure the crossing over the River Linth between their areas around Uznach and in the March. Until the 20th century, there were only the bridges at Grynau, Benken, Ziegelbrücke and Weesen over the River Linth. On September 21, 1337, Grynau was the scene of the Battle of Grynau between the imperial city of Zurich and an aristocratic alliance led by Count Johann I of Habsburg-Laufenburg. After the Rapperswil Counts died out, the castle passed to the Toggenburgers via the Counts of Habsburg-Laufenburg in 1343 and to the Canton of Schwyz in 1437. Owning the Grynau allowed Schwyz to control all traffic between eastern and central Switzerland and between Zurich and Chur on the Linth. Zurich also tried to take possession of the castle. After Zurich's defeat in the Old Zurich War, Grynau came to Schwyz.

Boss level is very unfriendly. Could be because she is completely overwhelmed. Better to eat somewhere else Quality has fallen by the wayside.

The location, right on the river, is nice. Okay, you can't miss the main street, but the terrace is large (when it's fully open) and you can sit a little off to the side. Unfortunately the service is not at all friendly, prefers to smoke at the neighboring table. Unfortunately, the food (rösti with fried egg) was completely inedible, almost black on the outside and overcooked potatoes on the inside. Feedback was given to the service employee, to which she simply said "I'll fix it". No apology or anything like that, not to mention an offer of coffee or any other concession.

I didn't find the food overwhelming

In a very good mood, the six of us went to the restaurant to eat some fine ice cream... the service was very unfriendly... when we asked for a second umbrella because of the heat, we responded with a loud groan, is that necessary? We didn't let it spoil our mood and were looking forward to the coupe. Unfortunately that was also a big disappointment!!

Absolutely beautiful location with high traffic density. Cars, cyclists and hikers pass by all the time. It's a shame that neither the unkempt and dreary exterior nor the option to pay with cards invite you to linger.

Outside top inside flop! Yes, unfortunately the first impression is misleading. The restaurant is dingy, unkempt and the staff isn't exactly overflowing with friendliness. But it's obvious because the very well located parking lot is almost always empty. If you see a car there, it will definitely have a note threatening a fine if you don't pay the CHF 20. That sets the mood for a restaurant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After we wanted to take a short break after a tedious drive, a young man asked us to leave the place in a very rude manner. A very clumsy behavior from the staff. It wouldn't be a problem to give a driver a break for 5 minutes. Because of this incident, we will not be visiting this nice looking inn.
