Gumen in Glarus Süd

Extremely beautiful. A must. The mountain The Gumen, Braunwald. Restaurant knows it's bad...

The catering offering has room for improvement, currently it corresponds to generic swimming pool food (from the Schnipo family) - more authentic would be great. The price level has already reached the top.

Impressive location in the Braunwald ski area. Great view at sunrises if you have booked a room. Price/performance absolutely ok. Including a richly laid breakfast table. Rooms are 4-person or 8-person rooms, which don't offer much space but are clean and comfortable.

Very friendly staff and good food, with a fantastic view, but we had a problem, the cable car got stuck and we were blocked for 30 minutes.

I would love to share my personal opinion about my amazing experience at Gumen place. Firstly the view is stunning breathtaking. The staff is friendly especially Alexandra who comforted us from the first step. The rooms are clean and tidy and food was over our expectation.

Wonderful view and very friendly staff

Unfortunately, the service doesn't speak German well, so instead of vegetable soup there was a vegetable plate. The sandwich bread was soggy from moisture and the goulash soup was out of a can. Unfortunately quite inadequate. But the beer and the view are great!!

The food is inedible!! Ordered the cheese pätzli and fries. The food was lukewarm, the Spätzli floury. The fries were fried too tightly and were dry oil crumbs. Not recommended!!

Never have I seen a more ineffective service. The staff seem to sleepwalk. Beautiful view and nice couy chairs with fur

I broke my foot in a rockfall in the summer of 2022. I hoped for help in this restaurant during the painful descent. Fortunately, according to an employee, painkillers were available there. However, the restaurant vehemently refused to release it.

Just a quick paraglidnig trip, but the area is beautiful!!!

A nice place with excellent views. Starting point for the via ferrata or a hike to the Ortsstockhaus, to Glattalp, to Oberblegisee. The last train down is at 5 p.m.

The Bergasthaus is located halfway along the panoramic path. It can also be reached directly with the gondola lift. The view is great, the plättli was nicely arranged and tasted excellent.
