Hafen Enge Beiz in Zürich

Located in the middle of Lake Zurich, it is simply beautiful. The drinks prices are usual in Switzerland.

Rarely experienced such slow employees, +32 minutes for 2 sausages for 20.-, which we couldn't accept because we had to get on the train.. Unbelievable! 😂

A self-service seasonal garden restaurant in a beautiful location. The culinary highlights are great currywurst and beef steak rolls with a great marinade. Very tasty and ideal for relaxing after a long day with a beer, cocktail or organic lemonade.

The vegetarian offering is not very large. You used to be able to have a salad plate put together, but now there are only overpriced ready-made portions. The lunch menu is reasonable in terms of price and size. The chairs are not particularly comfortable and there are a lot of people passing by, which makes the ambience uneasy.

Nice place by the lake. Was there several times in the past (with Eva and crew) and recently again for a long time. I was happy that the minced meat patty was still there in the bread. BUT: Unfortunately, the price for this rose sharply with the change of operator. This used to cost CHF 8.50, today it costs a proud CHF 14. And this for take-away. I think this price increase is too much.

Really slow, rude services, 5.40 for a bad quality coffee, theres a nicer cafe a 2 min walk away

We just stopped for water. It's a good place to sit at an outside table and enjoy the view of the lake.

Impudent guys at the checkout selling the bottle of Prosecco for 55 francs. The official price was 49.—, when asked he said a 6.— tip. He entered that into the terminal without asking! Pay close attention here!!!!

Great place to grab lunch or just a beer and enjoy the view of the lake. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are also plenty of vegan and vegetarian options.

In the evening we had a nightcap in the "Hafen Enge" and enjoyed the great ambience by the lake in the beautiful weather, accompanied by pleasant live music from a street musician. Despite the rather hefty prices for self-service and plastic cups, a clear recommendation for a stop. We can't say anything about the food as we only had drinks.

The Hafen Enge Beiz is my absolute favorite to-go spot on Lake Zurich. The food is super fresh and delicious, my personal favorite is the minced meat. The pub has a creative drink menu, fresh salads, really nice staff and is completely uncomplicated. You sit right by the lake and, even though there are always a lot of people there, you can always find a place. I can only recommend the restaurant!

Practical but right next to the parking lot. If you order bratwurst with bread they simply give you extra bread and silently charge you extra. Instead of pointing out that this would be there anyway. Zurich, a miserable commercial society. So I don't call that service or attentive. Food as expected at the grill stand, ok. It's definitely not sustainable either. One more disposable tableware for every little thing. Sad!

A small snack with various tapas and a bottle of rose from the Cote de Provence in an ice bucket! Everything was delicious😄 Plus the nice attentive service and a blue sky. What more do you want!

Food was very tasty, really great when the weather was nice. The table is even cleared away. The only downer: the relatively high price.

Payment can only be made by card. Not everyone has one! Not exactly social. The lake basin is for all levels!

Little kiosk and grill spot by the lake and close to some big insurance companies' offices, so gets quite crowded during week lunch hours. Food is probably ok, tried the steak sandwich which was an entrecote stuffed in a bread pouch set with a type of coleslaw and sauce. I personally cut up the steak into pieces to trim the fat and make it easier to chew, recommend you do the same. Seating is nice close to the lake, great for sunny summer days.

Very tasty food, nice staff, and on the one hand a wonderful view of the lake, on the other hand of the strollers passing by (…). Small, fine selection, a bit meat-heavy…

Nice place, nicely decorated, nice staff, but the cappuccino was horrible. From the fully automatic machine! Milk is probably UHT, the coffee mainly consists of strange foam. Take a look at Vicafe to see how it works.

Over lunch at the Hafen Enge Beiz - always happy 😉. Regardless of whether it is a Wiediker with a fine potato salad or another assortment of salads or a fine minced meat taschli - everything is a good choice in my opinion. You can eat the food on site at one of the numerous tables or simply enjoy it by the lake. Friendly and prompt service.

Unfortunately, I have to downgrade my rating significantly: Since a new operator took over my former favorite place, I'm only half happy. Question to the city of Zurich Is it really appropriate to hand over the kiosk to a tenant who sells his extremely meat-heavy offerings on disposable tableware? It doesn't matter whether it is made of cardboard - resources were used for a one-time use. And when you look at how much is being sold on a Saturday morning, for example, it makes me sad. It seems to me that the city, which likes to call itself sustainable, should take responsibility here, simply because it can. The offer itself is ok. It's somehow interchangeable, just what you get everywhere. Today I felt sorry for two older women who had some essentials with them, but no cards and no Twint. What appears to be progressive is also exclusionary. Conclusion: None of this is very likeable. The situation remains spectacular.

We walked past today and bought a steak sandwich for ourselves, a foccacia and a bratwurst. Foccacia and the house bratwurst were fine, but I found the steak somehow strange, the bread was wet from the sauce and tasted strange to me. The man was so nice, gave me all the money back and offered me another one for free or something different according to my wishes. I would like to thank the friendly, nice staff again and recommend the Enge Beiz. 5 stars from me!

Favorite place for warm summer evenings in the city. Regardless of whether you want something small to snack on or order something hearty from the grill - the team is great. Now you can wait in two lines, which reduces the waiting time to a few minutes. The tables are always cleared quickly and clean. Simply very harmonious and pleasant here. Thanks to the whole kiosk team: Yay! 🎉

A delicious bratwurst in a bun and some potato salad (a matter of taste). But the whole thing right next to the Aboretum and by the lake on the promenade is hard to beat when the weather is good. And it's relatively cheap too.

Great place to stop after a long walk along the lake. The curry wurst was delicious, lots of sauce and just the right amount of heat. Hubby had the steak sandwich, done medium rare the way he likes it and with a spicy kick too. Excellent selection of beverages.

Lovely little outdoor coffee shack. Basic, but clean seating area. Very friendly staff. Nice view of the mountains. Construction site right next door as of autumn 2021, so be prepared for some background noise.

Like many others, I can praise the beautiful view of the lake basin. Unfortunately, the croissants are of very poor quality - tried on three different days, the consistency is like chewing gum and yet tasteless. So you don't trust the rest of the food in the display case. A pity ...

The sausages are very tasty. I took a cheese sausage and it was very tasty. It was a Friday evening and there was a jazz quartet accompanying the evening. It was a great evening in super beautiful Engequartier! 😀
