Hagbeizli in Wildhaus-Alt St. Johann

Yesterday I accompanied a resident on a trip to Alp Gamplüt on the occasion of his 49th birthday. On the hike back to Wildhaus we took a coffee break at Hagbeizli. While ordering a chocolate cake, the person celebrating his birthday spontaneously talked about his birthday today. To his great joy, the innkeeper surprised him with a lit birthday candle on the cake. Thank you very much for this particularly kind gesture, which we will remember. We have been to the Hagbeizli several times and have always enjoyed the uniquely warm hospitality of the host couple - of course we will come back. Very fine and typical specialties. We had the cheese fondue, one of the best I've ever had. But be careful, I live in Germany :-) Hearty and well attended. Friendly service, fine wines, good price/performance ratio.

On a Sunday ride with my e-bike, I spontaneously stopped at the Hag-Beizli for an espresso and a piece of Schlorzifladen. Very nice and friendly host couple! Plus the beautiful view over Wildhaus and the Churfirsten! Top!

Beautiful place for a break, the Stübli is ideal for a family event for up to 30 people. Grilled steaks are highly recommended.

The best fondue I've ever eaten outside! Really creamy, spicy and the portion was very generous. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed and the ambience is really rustic. Our two dogs (Great Dane and Labrador) were also very welcome. I will be very happy to come back.

The Hafbeizli is worth visiting every day. The host couple are very friendly, the view is fantastic, the guests...locals, holiday guests or simply those on the move on foot, bike or car. The Lockal is ideal for celebrations of all kinds. The food is very good.

Nach dem Laternliweg am Säntis wollten wir ein Käsefondue essen, doch leider war der Gasthof schon voll. Wir suchten deshalb in der Nähe ein kleines Beizli und wurden fündig. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Gute Stimmung sehr gutes Fondue und ganz nette Bedienung. Der Weg lohnt sich auf jedenfall.

It doesn't seem like that from the outside. But it's very comfortable inside. Tastefully decorated and a very nice and attentive landlady. Food and drink as you would expect. Highly recommended.

Bei unserem Spaziergang haben wir hier halt gemacht, sehr freundliche Wirtin und uns empfangen und verköstigt. Das Beizli ist sehr charmant und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Das Essen ist einfach, aber sehr gut! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und bedanken uns für die tolle Gastfreundschaft.

Armins Hagbeizli ist eigentlich kein richtiges Restaurant, sondern ein Gelegenheitsbeizli mit wenigen, aber Währschaften Gerichten. Die Rösti, auch wenn "Fertigrösti" sind die Besten, die ich jemals ass. Mancher Gourmet- Tempel verwendet auch Rösti aus dem Beutel und bringt es nicht halb so gut hin wie Armin. Weitere einfache Gerichte wie zb. Bratwurst sind erhältlich. Armins Hagbeizli ist wunderschön gelegen zwischen Wildhaus und Gamplüt. Wunderschöne Aussicht auf die Churfirsten. Immer lustige aufgestellte Leute die einkehren. Der Wirt selber ist ein unkomplizierter humorvoller Typ der es mit allen gut kann. Ich habe das Hagbeizli im Trip Advisor eingetragen, weil es meiner Meinung nach ein Highlight ist in Wildhaus, das man unbedingt besuchen sollte.
