Han in Zug

It was the best decision to cancel here in March 2023. Otherwise I would have been able to admit myself to the closed institution by today at the latest. I'm relatively sure that in all these years we've never had such a personality who brought in so many ideas and so much positive energy. But in the end it was trampled on. I find father and son in one company very difficult. If I don't blame anyone at all, it's the owner of the company. Even if it were better he would hear cries for help and act. But otherwise you can't blame anyone here. I remain silent on all other topics! Honesty goes a long way in life! No honesty fails quickly! Best regards from Berlin. Coming soon from Thailand. Unfortunately disappointing. Buffet is not explained. Service prefers to constantly follow guests who are there for the first time and complain that they always have to take a new plate (the guests would know if everything were explained properly at the table). Food not good. Frozen meat and fish where when you look at the beef and chicken you think of the frozen plates from Migros for fondue chinoise because they are the very thin rolls. The worst thing about the visit was that you had to wait at the grill until your plate was ready. Sometimes up to 8 people stood there at the same time and waited. That's not our definition of a nice meal together if you spend half the evening waiting in the restaurant instead of at the table with your companions. We know it differently from other restaurants of this type - that the plate is served when it is ready (plates are then marked with a bracket with the table number). We won't come again. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio for this experience, the taste and these products doesn't suit us at all.

We entered the open restaurant at 5:45 p.m. We were told it wouldn't open until 6 p.m.?! Open door! When we asked if we could sit down and wait with a beer, we were told clearly and strictly that nothing was prepared?! There were two people behind the counter and an existing tap! We will avoid this restaurant in the future! Politeness is different.

As always, the food was very tasty. Unfortunately, service was a flop. Restaurant almost empty, 2 people in service but it took a long time just until we could order drinks. The clearing was also very slow and not everything. I work in service myself and something like this is very disappointing.

Wasn't that impressed with the food/concept to be honest. Its a buffet style where you select the fresh vege and the frozen meats (eg pork, lamb, fish, shrimps) and pick the sauce to grill with, and then pass it over to the cook who then grills everyhing you gave on a big grill plate. As its a common grill plate, it may not be suitable for anyone with food allergies as the risk of cross contamination is high. There is almost no expertise needed from the cook, as basically you choose your sauce (and quantity of sauce), hence if something doesnt taste good, its all your choice. Of course they offset this with another set of sauces to go with your cooked food. Disappointing that all the meats are frozen and no fresh ones. Service is okay-ish, atmospher is that of a chinese resto, but it stops there.

It's okay but not outstanding. Food was okay. All the meat is frozen and looks like it came from a fondue chinoise packet from the supermarket. No comparison to the all-you-can-eat restaurants in Germany/Austria, where 1. the buffet is twice/three times as big, 2. has fresh meat, 3. a dessert buffet is included and 4. you don't have to wait in front of the chefs have to wait until the food is cooked. A much cleverer solution would be if you had a table number and chose the sauce in advance, then the plate could be handed over to the chefs and the cooked plate would be served to the table. Service was okay, but could be friendlier. Was a bit demotivated.

Menu a discretion: The fact that all the food is grilled together on the grill plate disgusts me. I took vegetables and chicken, and maybe there was a customer before me who grilled noodles and pork, and I don't want everything to get mixed up. There was a lot of noise waiting for the court and you couldn't understand the number they were saying. The waiter was friendly. Very small selection of desserts, except for 4 homemade desserts. unfortunately it's not worth it.

Sensational restaurant for a business lunch. Delicious food, pleasant, quick service.

This was quite a disappointment. We went there on a Sunday night, the food was just ok and service not great either. While this is at discretion, it is still very expensive for what it is, especially to get frozen meat and vegetables. We will probably avoid it in the future.

We had to wait 30 minutes for our drinks to be ordered and then had to wait 20 minutes for it to arrive.

The staff is friendly and attentive. The tables are not too close to each other like in other restaurants - so it is pleasant despite the loudness of the background. The food (homemade) is great. Large selection of vegetables, meat, side dishes with exceptional oils and sauces. The toilets are clean. The bar also has a large selection of cocktails. For smokers there is a comfortable seating area with woolen blankets in front of the restaurant. Our daughter was sent off with a chocolate heart, lollipop and balloon. We always enjoy coming here. I have been visiting Restaurant Han since I was a child. Han has never been a gourmet salon, but I was surprised by the partly rotten offerings. Even after I brought this to the attention of the staff, the stuff wasn't replaced. There are inclusive cocktails that are hard to swallow, disgusting, pure sugar! The ambience was ok, but no longer as chic and exotic as in earlier times. It's more similar to the AI ​​restaurants in DE, where the price is great, but the quality suffers! Pity….

Seafood and kangaroo meat are on the buffet. But Mongolia has no access to the sea, and kangaroos live in Australia. The concept of a "Mongolian barbecue" is fraudulent... In addition, the meat was frozen and is not completely grilled, which you can taste on the plate. The food has nothing to do with Mongolia, the all-inclusive offer at CHF 42 is very expensive and the price-performance ratio is inadequate. Never again!

It's always nice to eat at HAN. The employees (especially Dominique) are very friendly and attentive and the new managing director Mr. Christian Stalvies is very accommodating. Large buffet with plenty of choice, whether vegetarian, fish or meat (meat and fish is frozen, but that's pretty logical ;-)). The chefs prepare the food very well, but of course they can also tell you how long it will be grilled. In terms of price, I think it's great, all-discrétion for CHF 46.-, as much as you can eat. It's best to go to the HAN with an empty stomach, then it's worth it ;-) The ambience is ok, maybe not quite up to date. It's great to watch the chefs grill the food (which you put together yourself). I think a minus for people with disabilities is that the buffet and grill station are not wheelchair accessible (Stuffen).

Very tasty, extensive selection of meat ingredients, fresh vegetables, spices and sauces... Dumplings hot and fine... The kids also love it and are looking forward to the Mongolian Show Grill at the children's price👍 I can only recommend it 😊

To be honest, I expected more, but it was still a good evening with plenty of food. You can choose what you want fried. There is enough choice from shrimp, beef, horse, pork and kangaroo. You can add the side dishes however you like. Very personable chef who fried the food perfectly. The server lady wasn't in a good mood...

I appreciate that you can customize your bowl based on your preferences and appetite. Whether I'm focused on healthy greens or indulging in cashews and steak, I can make it work. The only misses for me have been some of the soups and appetizers. I prefer sticking to the DIY bowls. But overall this is one of my go-to spots when I'm craving a fun, casual Asian meal with friends. I'm never disappointed when I go. It's great for large groups and pleasing picky eaters. The grill concept is endlessly entertaining. And the friendly vibe keeps me coming back again and again.

We were back at Han's in Zug shortly before Christmas. Everyone was really looking forward to the good food. However, we had to realize that unfortunately not everything was so great. Unfortunately, the vegetables weren't really fresh, such as the leek, where water had already accumulated, and the cooked rice was more than just aldente, it could have been cooked at least 5 minutes longer. I love garlic sauce with a lot of garlic, but not necessarily all of it. Even at the grill station, things weren't going well. Our griller waited far too long to turn our food, so some of it became very dark and tough and the other side was still raw. This is simply intended as a suggestion so that things can be improved in the future. Otherwise, I have to say that I have been going there for a good 20 years and have always been very satisfied.

They were rather unfriendly, I had reserved a normal table for two. After a while I noticed that our table was decorated, but I didn't worry about it. Nobody came to take our order and we had to call. Then came, oh, they want to order..... we kept getting looked at askance.....apparently they thought that someone else was coming. They then asked and I said that I had reserved for 2. Then when it came to paying they wanted to charge us for the table decorations and I had reserved for 4. Despite my email, which I showed to the staff, which said table 2 people, I was questioned as if I was lying and I felt very uncomfortable...I hadn't done anything wrong, but something must have happened when allocating the table gone wrong... I will avoid this restaurant...

All you can eat grill restaurant. You take a plate, go to the buffet, take your ingredients and then wait at the grill until the frozen food has thawed. You can also make it at home. Buy chinoise, frozen vegetables and then heat everything up in the wok. So nothing special and not worth the price in my opinion.

DO NOT GO! It was a terrible experience. The staff was unmotivated and they rushed us to pick a drink in 2 minutes. It was a buffet that cost us 32.- for frozen cold ingredients. I can’t even explain how gross the mix of everything was. There was only one cook and he „grilled“ all the customers food on one single grill. The sauce tubs that you had to your ingredients were open and unhygienic (dirty and full of little particles). In the end they served us the wrong ice cream but we just accepted it since we just wanted to get out of there. 85.- for 2 people was what left us speechless. Please do not waste your money at that place.

We arrived at about 8:45 p.m. We were immediately welcomed very warmly. The service was very friendly, someone always came through every now and then and asked if everything was ok and if we needed anything else, even though we were the only people outside. The buffet was great! Only the French salad dressing and some marinades were empty and unfortunately not refilled. We comfortably ate 1-2 plates. At 10 p.m. the waitress came over and warned us that we could get the last plate NOW. I found it a bit of a shame because the internet said it was open until midnight - and not whether it was just a bar or buffet. Above all, we asked specifically when making a reservation and were not informed that you can only eat until 10 p.m. Nevertheless, I was very impressed by everything and I would be happy to come back and recommend it to others!
