Very nice hospitality from Desire. (She previously worked at the workshop in Gossau/ZH and is a competent employee in the gastronomy scene. The food was very good. The restaurant is just right for people who are looking for an uncomplicated atmosphere. Gladly again... Addendum: July 19, 2023 - everything is fine again. The food was perfect, we ate well and inexpensively. Price-performance is definitely right. Very nice service, you feel welcome. It's a bit noisy since there were a few guests. We would definitely like to go there again!

Right on the street but very quiet

We ate at Hans Heiri's again. The waitress/service staff (whatever) recommended the pulled pork burger. Was the best burger I've ever eaten. The mixed salad was fresh and with a fantastic homemade French sauce. It's just a shame that this burger isn't always on the menu. But I think that the effort required for this burger is very high. It has different vegetables and sauces in it.

Nice place to sit outside, with lights as soon as it gets dark. The service is super friendly and very attentive. It was a pleasure!

Unprofessional service staff. After waiting 1 hour our order was wrong.

We've just been there for an hour. We're waiting for our food, the main course was two chicken wings with vegetables and one was with french fries. After an hour only one plate came and one with 4 small pieces of crispy perch with fries. I said I didn't order it, the lady said it was my fault, but the chicken wings ran out. That means that for an hour while we were waiting, our food was sold and served to other tables. Another thing, the table wasn't cleaned and wasn't served properly. My husband had to go get everything himself. Where eating can go wrong, my husband expressed his opinion, but the young man was very cheeky and indecent to us, I don't recommend anyone..

Clean, rather simple restaurant with a beautiful garden. Not cheap in price, but always market-fresh salad and vegetables. If you prefer cheap canned goods, you've come to the wrong place. Fresh eggs, straight from the farm. No matter what you order, it will definitely be a hit!!

The food was a bit expensive but the quality was good. Unfortunately, the waitress was extremely unfriendly and rude, which completely destroyed the overall appearance of the restaurant. I can therefore no longer recommend the restaurant.

Very disappointed. Basically a casual place, but the food was average at best (cordon bleu as a fitness plate, meat dry, salad bland with ready-made sauce). Unfortunately the service was very disinterested and unfriendly. The price was definitely way too high for that.

I'm a bit shocked to read negative reviews here. The local is honest and fair. The burgers are the best I've ever eaten. When I read here that people complain about waiting times... it's just not McDonald's! Real food has to be cooked. That doesn't happen without time.

We arrived and there weren't that many people. Nevertheless we waited more than 15 minutes. And the woman was very rude to us. You can do better.

It took less than 10 seconds for someone to point out that our bikes were parked incorrectly. but after 15 minutes of waiting no one came to serve us

We were there for dinner. The service was friendly and you immediately had the feeling that you were among friends, even though we had never been there before... I had the Sindy's Cheeseburger (which was also the friendly service's favorite burger) and it was really great👍!!! For dessert there was Tobleronemouse, which was also very good😄 Restaurant was clean and well maintained, nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, only the Guinness "only" came from a can...but that's complaining on a high level I'd love to come back.😄

Solid food & good portions! Be careful when ordering, if you are very hungry it can happen that you overdo it with the order 🤭 Nachos are good but just out of the bag, last time I had a layer of nachos and the rest underneath was more crumbs, hence 4 stars. Otherwise everything is great, service attentive and friendly.

Hans Heiri's has a wonderful ambience with heartily prepared food and home-made tea that simply tastes good. If I lived here I would be a regular customer. If I could I would give it 6 out of 5 stars.

Chilled atmosphere, friendly service and good food. Unless you order warm chocolate cakes with a liquid core...you can search for them but you can't find them 🫣 P.S. Please urgently fix the sanitary facilities, the taste is unbearable!!!

Very bad service, sometimes very unfriendly, we waited several times for a drink for 20 minutes or were completely ignored. I hope it gets better but will avoid it in the future. Best regards

Apparently this restaurant no longer needs to serve guests. Close part of the terrace when the weather is nice. Absolutely incomprehensible and the waiters are very rude!

We had a wonderful meal on Friday evening on the beautiful terrace with super-friendly service, we would happily do so again!

Impudence! After we had eaten quite well with larger groups a few times (each time with wine and meat +/- 700.- each time!!), we thought we would go to Hans Heiris again. When we arrived, the garden restaurant was well attended, but there were still at least 10 free tables outside. When we asked if they had space for 7 people, the unfriendly, unkempt serving staff said. “You can’t sit outside, only inside, there aren’t enough people”?! Firstly, if you don't expect more people on a day like today, you are fundamentally ill-prepared. Secondly, what is the additional effort involved in serving from a table outside to a table inside, apart from the 10 meter walk?! Well if you can afford it... I hope you go bankrupt!!

Yesterday we had a lovely meal on the garden terrace. Were served friendly. The regional fish crispies are highly recommended. Delicious. Gladly again.

Hansheiri, a rustic restaurant, simple cuisine, very good food, various house specialties such as schnitzel, but on the plate weighing 500 grams, buttery, and not forgetting the homemade iced tea. Draft beer. Casual servers. Been there several times. Always my pleasure. There is also live music on some evenings. Reservations recommended.

Top staff. Good cuisine, the chef lives his craft. Will stop by again, haven't exhausted the menu yet

Unfortunately, the waitress didn't have a good day yesterday, as the slightly unfriendly tone, which was already audible upon arrival, lasted the entire evening. Luckily she had a like-minded person in the kitchen to talk to, because apparently the cook wasn't quite up to speed either. Conclusion: The burgers were okay, unfortunately the schnitzels were not. The Feldbacher Spätzle were bland and carelessly prepared, which could also be said about the green salad. I can highly recommend the fries served with the burger, they were very good! The beer was okay, but at this point I would definitely have expected more because of the advertised history of this place... So if nothing else is open, you can go there. Otherwise I would leave it alone.

The food is very good, service friendly, quick, portions large, table reservation recommended as it is no longer an insider tip, homemade rosehip ice tea is a dream, huge schnitzel 550 grams tender as butter, one of my favorite restaurants, rustic, friendly, with a terrace, but just order in advance. It has nothing to do with dirty joes that was there before. Not comparable
