The food is good. The first employee is very unfriendly and mean. She laughed at my colleague because he didn't want tomatoes. We also waited 30 minutes before we could order.

The food is really good, but one of the employees was very rude to us. She laughed at me because I adjusted something on the burger and I didn't pronounce a drink correctly. I find this very indecent and think that this waitress doesn't fit in with the other "friendly" employees. Really inappropriate.

No chance to get a table without reservation. Disappointing :(

There were four of us there. We all already had our drinks on the table and actually wanted the menu that included fries, burgers and a drink. Instead of telling us (even though we asked and seemed very unsure) that the menu price of 17.- was only for a drink and a side dish (burger separately), they brought us drinks AGAIN and in the end we had to pay twice as much we actually wanted to pay. It's a shame that you don't think for yourself as a service person. Although you can see there are already 4 drinks on the table… They could have at least made us aware of it, especially since we asked several times. Why should we order drinks again when we already have drinks? So we paid 140 for everything, which was absolutely unnecessary... We didn't have any room for that many drinks. We feel a bit ripped off to be honest.

Always delicious and it wasn't the last time we were there.

Our favorite place in town. Great atmosphere, great burgers and a wide selection of the best cocktails. There are also tables with swings that you can sit on.

I've eaten at Hans im Glück many times, but that was the first and last time I ate at the restaurant in St. Gallen. We sat at the bar and had to listen to very inappropriate conversations from the employees. Firstly, they talked about a customer's appearance and then they had a discussion about the female genitalia while we actually wanted to eat our burger. Absolutely inappropriate and unpleasant. A great atmosphere in the team is good, but such things should under no circumstances be discussed in front of customers. The icing on the cake was when the gentleman behind the bar started practicing tricks and then something fell on our table or on my head. There was no apology or anything. He ran back to the kitchen, giggling. Cheeky. The lady who brought us the food was super nice and that's why I'm a bit sorry to give such a bad review for the service. The burger was a bit burnt and the meat was dry, it didn't taste as fresh as usual. I hope no one else has to hear things like that in a restaurant. We felt anything but comfortable.

I ordered the crispy pod once on February 11th and once I took a bite it broke everything. Fries were good.

Great interior, nice atmosphere and amazing food!

Price/performance is not right. Uncomfortable bench, wobbly table. Food: Burgers, well I've had much better beef than burgers, cheese didn't really melt. If it's already described exactly what's in it and I order cheese with bacon, why are there bulbous lettuce leaves and a tomato in it? Fries were also a maximum of 3 stars. The chicken burger with goat cheese that my wife took was a lot better (4 stars) We paid CHF 110 for fast food for 3 adults and 2 children (2 and 1). That's not true for me

The restaurant is nicely decorated, the food isn't bad, but as a burger lover it doesn't blow my socks off, even though they taste delicious. The meat could probably be a little juicier for me. The service is very nice, but we had to wait a little long until we realized that we wanted to pay. Overall, however, I was very satisfied.

Staff friendly. Took the cold chewy burger back without discussion and brought me a warm chewy burger. For the price I expect fresh goods and not frozen goods that have been kept warm for too long. Never again.

The waitress almost indirectly “kicked us out”. Even though we (my mother, sister and I) ordered a starter, main course and dessert and were only there for an hour, she stopped next to us and kept asking if we wanted anything else, as soon as we had finished drinking our coffee. I asked her if the place was reserved and she said no, but said we would have to leave if we didn't order something else right away. I don't know what the reason for her behavior was, it doesn't always have to be discrimination (my mom wears a headscarf and we are dark-skinned). But there were people in there before us who didn't order dessert and she didn't force it on her in such a pushy way. Pity..

The food is good. But the fact that a male employee cuddles, whispers and paws at every female employee is a no-go. I also think that the dishcloth is used for a lot of activities!

it wasnt that good, the burger could be better, also the sweet potato fries were too dry and pver fried. the chese garlik fries were very good!

Service doesn't know the menu, brings the wrong food if you order sauce that is actually part of the meal, so what you actually ordered but didn't get, you have to pay extra for it. The service is generally unfriendly, not professional for the price you pay, I expect more from service

Food was very tasty, it was very cold in the restaurant

I've been to Hans Im Glück in St. Gallen a couple of times in the past few years and the food (the burgers) were always very good and tasty. The service was perfect and quick until recently but it seems the whole staff is new. It may take quite a while until you can order - the same also for asking for the bill. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with the trees as main decoration. It's a bummer though that tables are so closely placed together, quite narrow around the tables and also not much space to eat.

For the 2nd and last time in this restaurant. We waited 1 hour for 2 normal burgers and 1 portion of fries. The burgers were just lukewarm, the order was taken incorrectly, wrong bread for both burgers, instead of a small portion of fries there was a large portion, which was too much and we had to give it back. Although the waitress said the fries would be charged for the price of the small one, the large one was still on the bill. The fries still had the peel on them, which didn't taste very good and the fries weren't fully cooked yet. You won't see me in this restaurant anymore. The only good thing was the facility.

The food was extremely delicious! This was the fourth time I've been here within a month and I've always been surprised at how delicious the food is here. The staff was very friendly and we were courted by a friendly waitress. Would come back at any time.

Very nice place. Staff ditto. Price ok for Switzerland. But unacceptable burgers. Overcooked sole meat. Poor quality garnish. And presentation... see photo. Regrettable for a place that deserves better.

I wanted to snap when ordering but was thoroughly rejected and flamed for it. So it's better not to snap when you talk to the staff.

The vegan burger “Pfefferbusch” is awesome! Thank you for the great service and the quick service. Everyone is incredibly nice and attentive. Never had to wait long, even when it was very busy.

Original restaurant with good cuisine

Better “in luck” than “in Hans”.

Very tasty and fresh and relaxed atmosphere. There are also various vegan and vegetarian burgers. My friend from Zurich said that at around 15 francs for a burger it was also cheap (by Swiss standards). Be sure to reserve in advance on weekend days. The shop is very popular - also among us Austrians and Germans. PS: the burgers are really filling. 🙂

Dry, TOUGH, barely edible burger patties. Colorless potato wedges with no taste and even drier than the meat. The food went straight into the bin. It's hard to believe that Hans im Glück is one of the best chains in Switzerland.

Always the same problem with you. I order something for 60 francs and a burger WITHOUT fries costs 15 francs and then I don't even get a real tomato but the edge, i.e. the end of the tomato. Are you serious? Not just now, but all the time. 5 times or so, Disappointed!

We were eating outside the club and I had a veggie walnut patty burger. Super tasty, but the service wasn't the fastest. But it was also super full.

Very good, imaginative food selection. Tastes great. As a 60-year-old guest, the staff shouldn't seat you at the side of the bar with a very short distance to the 18-year-old women (with physical contact on their backs) when 80% of the normal tables are still free. The boys probably wouldn't have been happy if we had agreed to the assigned space. Would love to eat here again.

The atmosphere is cozy and beautifully decorated, but you sit close together. There is a large selection of burgers, non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. The burgers, fries and drinks are delicious! For a burger with a side dish and cocktail, the price is great. Unfortunately we had to wait quite a long time until we were served and finally able to pay.

We sat outside and drank our drink, the atmosphere was like we were on vacation, super pleasant. The stone fountain in the Hüsli is really cool.

Very fine food & great ambience. The burgers are fresh and very tasty. It has a large selection (also vegetarian & vegan). You should also try a drink. It also has many non-alcoholic ones. The service was okay: very stressed, rather unfriendly and orders were not carried out properly (once a burger was ordered 'well done' - it still came medium/raw, and the second time a black coffee came instead of a caffè crème). Nevertheless, the restaurant is highly recommended. F The prices are okay.

Love the food and the whole concept of Hans im Glück. Of course it's a lot higher quality than McDonalds, for example, but this is also noticeable in the price. If you want a good burger for your money, you're in good hands there.

Correction to my review after today's visit: Is the kitchen team new? Burger was ok but not as great as the last few times. And that at almost 18.-… Sweet potato fries completely different, no longer as crispy and fine and the portion for !17.90! and even smaller than before. And unfortunately I've been feeling super sick since eating, n.a. whether something wasn't quite right. Unfortunately, super disappointed that it's no longer worth visiting your place... Service is no longer what it was... —— Top service and great food! Simply great location💪🏽

Great restaurant with very tasty burgers! The selection of burgers is large! There are even vegan and vegetarian versions! Even with these, there are numerous combinations. You can also choose the bread roll (whole wheat, brioche or sourdough). The homemade sauces are also very tasty. The thirst quenchers as well as the iced teas are highly recommended. The waitress was a bit grumpy and we didn't particularly feel like she wanted to serve us. The prices are rather high, so it's definitely worth taking a lunch menu. Unfortunately the tables are a bit narrow. We barely had room for our four plates.

Was there to have a drink. The homemade iced tea (lemon with thyme sprig) tasted great and was presented in a beautiful glass. The hamburgers that were brought to the other tables looked very appetizing. I'd love to come back to try these out.

Very nicely decorated and lots of different special delicious drinks. I will definitely come again and try out the different vegan and veggie burgers.

I had a Vollmundig burger and it was awesome. I tried the fries from a friend (after he didn't want any anymore, so they had cooled down already) and I thought they were okay but weren't that good. Though they were already cold, so that may have played a role. I'd like to try the sweet potato fries next time. Definitely coming again

I really loved this place! The food is tasty, healthy and its quality is remarcakable. They have alternatives to beef burger. The vegan one was delicious! I recommend the homemade limonades, specially the ginger and mango one. The "green ambience" created with the original decoration makes you feel in a cosy forest. The service was very good.

The avocado burger was fantastic along with the thick fries and house sauces. The homemade iced teas are also excellent. The only negative point was that the alcohol with the evening menu could not be opted out.

Solala - small tables and you can't describe hamburgers in a more complicated way. A 20 page card that can be easily shortened. Still always full of young people. The question is where they can afford such expensive hamburgers. But still delicious. The tables are much too small.

Visited this place completely by accident. We were looking for a place to drink a glass of wine and eat some small dessert. The atmosphere is interesting, very stylish, but it was too loud for me. This is a subjective perception, nothing more. The staff is very polite and friendly, they went to meet us and removed the ice cream from the dessert, of course, reducing the cost of this item. The prices did not seem too high to me, although I am only in Switzerland for the second day. In general, a very pleasant establishment, thank you.

I had to throw up 3 times the following night and am now suffering from a high fever. It wasn't the first time I caught something from that left shed.

Excellent place for a quick and unpretentious meal. Good choice of 'buildable' sandwiches and salads and lots of vegan options. My daughter loved the kids cocktail and the veg chicken nuggets, the roasted corn a little limp. Prices in line with Swiss standards (50% more expensive than Hans im Glück in Constance).

Stopped in here our last night in Switzerland. Food was great, drinks were amazing and my kids loved the atmosphere. I enjoyed the menu set up. Made it easy for someone who doesn't speak Swiss-German to figure it out. Also the bathrooms were very interesting. If we ever make it back to Switzerland, I'll make sure to stop in!

In my opinion the food is great, very tasty and always with lots of salad. The people are polite, the interior is a bit cluttered but nicely designed and the price range is, as I would say as a teenager with not much money experience, rather normal. The only really irritating thing is the view, you can see directly onto a not so pretty alley where people are walking. So it's better to sit inside with your back to the window then everything will be ok 👍

We were with a group of 10 people. Food was great . Many vegetarian choices. Pity that some people had to wait quite long to get their food.
