If you can/want to afford it... I was invited there with a group on a Friday evening. The place gets very loud when it's full because it's not that big. My vegan stroganoff (for 28.50CHF!) somehow tasted too much like gypsy sauce and the croquettes were a convenience product, I think. My neighbor's cream of asparagus soup tasted more like a bechamel soup than asparagus. But the children's schnitzels were very good and the salads too, I think. The waitress's recommended bottle of red wine for 64CHF (not exactly a bargain either) tasted very good. I think they have good products and quality but generally overpriced, especially for the vegan dishes...but now almost everywhere...it's a shame

The only negative point, as is unfortunately the case in many places, is that after the main course the guest is forgotten. No more wine, ask for dessert, coffee...that's a shame :-/

Very attentive, friendly service (and very flexible!) - great, varied menu and a wonderful ambience! Maybe a tad too loud for sensitive people - but it absolutely suited us - we'd be happy to do it again!

Hidden gem in the not-so-busy area of St. Gallen with a cozy atmosphere! Everything we ordered was delicious! They often have mussels and this time they served it with tomato-garlic-chorizo sauce. It was the highlight dish! Fast and friendly service. They also serve tap water, free of charge!

Rustic atmosphere and delicious dishes. We had a schnitzel and two cordon bleus. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned. The schnitzel had a loose, airy breading that brought a nice flavor to the meat, the same applies to the cordon bleus. The challenge with schnitzel is to create exactly this combination - the ratio between breading and meat (which of course shouldn't be like the sole of a shoe). In my opinion, a great restaurant to enjoy the evening (with a beer) and/or have a delicious meal. The service was friendly and complemented the great food.

The food was very good, just like it was on our last visit. Only this time you didn't really feel welcome. It took some time before we could order the food, which was okay, the restaurant was pretty full. But the table had already been served even though some people were still eating. Maybe they were just in a bad mood that day, which can happen. In any case, I didn't really feel comfortable this time. And it's a shame that there is no normal menu. I personally don't think it's ideal. There are still people who have difficulty using smartphones. For the price you could probably add a little more fries. I found this a bit odd.

Is it worth driving from Winterthur to SG for the night? Yes, the Perronnord is a really nice place to relax - the ambience is sensational. The wine list is more original than informative, but that's okay. The food was solid & good. The service attentive & friendly. 👍

We were able to experience a team meal there and were thrilled by the beautiful atmosphere, the friendly service and the excellent food... and the wine selection (we chose a Ribero del Duero) - a dream. A restaurant with style and flair - AWESOME!

Good home cooking. Schnitzel great quality and tender, fine vegetables. A few little things that we personally didn't like 100%, but that's very subjective (anchovies, rather watery barley soup). Otherwise great.

The atmosphere here is often pleasing and also you never have to wait long to be served. My sister and I believed the meals here was affordable and would come back. Several different food choices to select from the menu, amazing. The personnel here are actually first class, cannot compliment them enough. We really liked our food here and would undoubtedly recommend it.

Das Restaurant erinnert einen an ein Englisches Pub mit mehr Charme. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Am Mittag haben sie spezielle Mittagsmenus und Abends eine sensationelle Karte. Das Cordon Bleu ist sehr zu empfehlen. Am Abend ist eine reservation erforderlich.

Special ambience, good, interesting wine selection. There should only be something small with an aperitif, such as: in Italy.

The kitchen is good and the dishes are appetizingly prepared. It's great that there are vegan versions of classics! The atmosphere is very cozy and carefully furnished. In this respect, recommended. The staff is accommodating and takes care of the guests. But. The homepage is designed in an absolutely minimalist way: there is no menu. It is not stated that the kitchen closes at 1:30 p.m. It is not declared that only the lunch menu is available at midday. However, that would be very important, otherwise you might get there in vain. The music could be turned down a bit. Conclusion: The media presence still needs to be improved; savings were made in the wrong place. The devil is in the details.

Friendly, the menu is not overloaded and the quality is right. Attentive and non-intrusive service. We were given a discount because the dessert wasn't quite successful...we couldn't confirm :)

Small and special restaurant. It doesn't work without a reservation. It is a meeting place for young and old. Many guests know each other. You simply have as long as you want here. You can use the table you reserved for the whole evening. Start comfortably with an aperitif, enjoy delicious, freshly prepared food and then you can play a game and continue spending time with your friends. Can only recommend it! Staff very friendly.

You can have really delicious food here. Great selection of dishes for vegetarians and even vegans! Had Seitan slices with soy cream sauce and (vegan) Rösti. There is also a bar directly in the restaurant with a very well-selected range of alcoholic drinks.

Many people go here to eat the best cordon bleu in St. Gallen. My personal recommendation is to stay longer for a few drinks. The audience is very open and friendly so you can get to know new and exciting people very quickly.

Kleines gemütliches Restaurant mit einem Hauch von Nostalgie.Wir haben das Cordon bleu bestellen, was leider etwas zu "oelig" war. Der Käse hatte sich schon sehr mit dem Oel vermischt und so hatte man keinen wirklichen Käse geschmackt mehr bzw. es war alles zu flüssig. Hier könnte man evtl. einen anderen Käse verwenden oder sonst das Cordon blue mit etwas weniger Oel braten.Wir werden aber das Restaurant gerne nochmals besuchen.

Connu pour ses excellents Cordons bleus, en excursion dans la région, nous avons décidé d'aller les goûter. Il était 13h 10. Nous avons commandé 3 dl d'un délicieux vin espagnol (1 dl à 9,50 frs !!!) puis 2 X Cordon bleu. Réponse inattendue : le soir uniquement ou sur commande par tel. le jour avant... pour les tranches panées : idem.La seule option possible : soupe, salade, goulasch avec purée. Ce que nous nous sommes résignés à manger. Rien à râler : soupe aux brocolis, fort belle grande salade, viande et sauce bien mijotées et légèrement relevée, purée maison déjà un peu compacte.

Love coming here. This is not a temple of conspicuous culinary consumption, this is a little local gem with fabulous and quirky art on the walls. The cordon bleu is big and jucy, the prices are reasonable, the service is taken care of by the boss in a charming and attentive way. Fully recommended.

Das Perron Nord ist ein kleines, gemütliches Lokal mit kleiner Küche und guter Weinkarte. Die Cordon Bleus sind extra erwähnenswert. Service und Qualität des Essens ansprechend. Ich bin jedoch lieber zum Feierabendbier dort. Ein Besuch auf jeden Fall wert. Auch wegen der angenehmen, urchigen Atmosphäre.

Wir waren vergangenen Samstag zum Mittagessen ins Perron Nord eingekehrt. Sehr wenig Gäste und daher fast eine 1 zu 1 Betreuung. Diese war äusserst freundlich, zuvorkommend und nicht aufdringlich... Das bestellte Cordon Bleu mit den dazugehörigen Pommes waren ausgezeichnet! Der Schock kam am Schluss: Wir hatten nur knapp Bargeld dabei. Im Perron Nord ist „nur Bares wahres“! D.h. Keine Kartenzahlung möglich. Aber auch dies wurde vom Chef mit stoischer Ruhe vorgetragen. Wir hätten die Möglichkeit einen EZ mitzunehmen, Geld zu holen oder später das Geld vorbeizubringen. Ein sehr grosses Vertrauen in uns... Danke! PS: War mittlerweilen bereits mit einem Freund wieder zum Feierabendbier dort! Der Laden war zum Bersten voll und ich konnte meine Schuld inkl. Verzugszins :-) begleichen! Gratulation an dieses Lokal! Ein wahrer ⭐️ am St.Galler Beizenhimmel

Juri is a friendly, calm host. The restaurant is an ideal meeting place. I always find someone to chat to at the bar. The menu is solid, simple but the food tastes good. Cordon bleu is always worth it. And during the asparagus season, a visit is a must.

Auf Empfehlung habe ich hier ein Cordon bleu mit Pommes bestellt. Es war sehr gut, so wie man es eigentlich erwartet. Cooles Lokal mit bunt gemischten Gästen. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Super Ambiente, man fühlt sich wie in einem original Bistro. Essen war gut. Mein Cordonbleu sogar sehr schmackhaft. Sehr gut besucht, daher laut, aber gemütlich. Service iO. Zwei Sachen nerven extrem. 1.finde ich es in der heutigen Zeit eine Zumutung, wenn der Kunde nicht mit Karte bezahlen kann, ergibt jedesmal einen peinlichen Moment für den der das nicht weiss 2. Wird regelmässig Abends um 11 die Musik so aufgedreht, dass sämtliche Gespräche der Kunden unterbunden werden und zahlen müssen. Sehr plump.

Gut und zentral gelegenn, charmantes kleines Lokal. Mittagsmenu ok, aber nicht mehr. Suppe kalt, Wein war sicher schon den einen oder anderen Tag offen, Mineral war gut. Sehts euch an, ist ok.

Die besten Cordon Bleu in St. Gallen gibt es im Perron Nord. Heisst es. Ob es wirklich die Besten sind, kann ich nicht sagen, aber sie waren wirklich sehr gut. Und die Bedienung war sehr nett und aufgestellt. Im Restaurant ging es zwar laut zu und her, aber ich denke, wer ins Perron Nord geht, ist sich dessen bewusst und geht gerade deshalb in dieses Lokal. Hier trifft man alte und neue Bekannte, hier kann man essen oder jassen oder Würfel spielen. Finde ich gut.
