Hardplatz Gastronomie in Zürich

Our evening in the restaurant was simply incredible. The 7-course meal we were served was expertly prepared and showcased creative creations from the kitchen. Every course was a real culinary delight and surprised us with new taste experiences. The accompanying selection of wines was also excellent. Each wine harmonized perfectly with the dishes and rounded off the culinary experience. However, what really made this evening special was the reception and service. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly and always made sure we didn't lack for anything. Our needs were carefully considered and we felt well looked after from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. This evening was a feast for our senses and we are already looking forward to our next visit. This restaurant exceeded our expectations and is undoubtedly worth a visit, especially for special occasions and unforgettable moments of enjoyment.

A great restaurant! The furnishings, service and kitchen are great. The tartare is one of the best I've eaten anywhere in the world, the stroganoff impresses with its racy spiciness and the apple pie for dessert is reason enough to come back. Unfortunately, the restaurant was located in one of the most unsuitable corners of the city. The dedicated team would like a better location in the center or at least numerous parking spaces.

Simply delicate, everything was right, not exactly cheap but worth it. 😋

It was nice, but I think it's a basic service thing to not pour wines to people that are not seated at the table. Scallops was fav dish. Nice that they shave truffles on top of pasta, but no flavor to the truffles. Brioche with the duck liver was a little meh, and the bread they served as compliment was much better.

Excellent dinner at Hardplatz. The dinner was a culinary delight. The different courses were prepared and presented with a lot of love. The eye eats too. Dawid served us very attentively throughout the evening. I'll definitely come back. Compliments to the whole team.

I have been to this restaurant several times under new management. The cuisine impresses with mostly classic and very tasty dishes, the lunch menu is both creative and inexpensive, the wine list has half bottles of treasures from renowned wineries, and Dawid's service is both extremely courteous and competent.

Exclusive restaurant with high quality and very tasty food. The visit is an absolute highlight and a must if you value good food. You are warmly welcomed and feel welcome. We can only recommend it and would be happy to come back.

We booked a table for New Years Eve. Dining there was an unforgettable experience for all three of us. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed every single meal. Quite unique for our taste. The ambience, the set up was 🔝. The service could not be more professional and friendly. They were eager to offer us an alternative for fish although the menu was set. The dessert which was Ofenfrischer Schokoladenkuchen aus Felchlin-Schokolade mit zartschmelzendem Kern und Vanilleglace came in the end to top off our dining experience. Today (Friday just before Christmas) we spontaneously got a table for two. When I didn't like the open white wines offered, she easily fetched the white wine from the cellar that suited my taste and filled a glass for me. I thought that was very nice. The food was super tasty. At the end the chef even came by to ask if everything was okay. I'm actually not used to this much hospitality from a Zurich restaurant. So the whole thing is very refreshing. Thanks!

Everything about this restaurant is perfect. The decor is simple, not fancy, but this does not detract from the dining experience. The service is professional but also friendly. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. French cuisine at its finest made with local and seasonal produce. We also liked the fact that one of us could order the set menu, while the other could order a la carte. Chef Jean Ghrabi and his team made sure my husband had a special surprise for his birthday. His dessert was served with a mega sparkler and it was complimentary, which was a lovely gesture. We had a wonderful evening at Chez Thomas, and hope to celebrate more special occasions here.

The food was excellent and the service was very attentive. The atmosphere is extremely pleasant and you can spend a wonderful evening at Chez Thomas. The only thing is that there seems to be a bit of a problem with the air extraction from the kitchen, as it seemed to us.

The Hardplatz chez Thomas is a real insider tip for me. Seemingly a bit remote, it can be reached by tram from the center of the world (my office) in 10 minutes. The second visit was also worth it: for under 30 francs you can get a creamy broccoli soup and then giant prawns in garlic and chili (a.k.a. gambas al ajillo). A bowl of rice was offered by the kitchen as a side dish. Plus fresh, crusty white bread. We'll try the wine list next time. The staff is also friendly and friendly: an attentive young waiter, and the chef personally asks all guests whether it was good. That was it, excellent!

A new discovery. The ingredients, you can tell, are very selected and of the very best quality. Jean Ghrabi cooks with an enthusiasm that is noticeable in every course. The service staff has an unaffected warmth that makes you want to come back. Since the restaurant is on Hardplatz, you can easily do without the car and devote yourself to the very good wine list.

Authentic French cuisine I can highly recommend this newly opened restaurant. The best lobster soup I've had in a long time! The service staff was very attentive and friendly and the chef even personally inquired about our well-being. If you're reading this, you should definitely eat here!

The food and service here was outstanding. I was served wonderfully. The ambience and atmosphere is very pleasant. Since this restaurant is still fairly new, we were able to enjoy the meal in peace and to the fullest. Highly recommended. The price is also great.

I was really blown away by my experience at Chez Thomas! The staff were super nice and attentive, the food was an absolute taste explosion, and the ambience was really great. Everything was just cooked to perfection by a true master chef! Highly recommend!

A little pearl on the hard court. Very cozy and attractive atmosphere. Excellent food at absolutely reasonable prices. The service is super friendly and very attentive. Were greeted with a glass of champagne and immediately felt welcome. At the end you even get tea and coffee on the house. A wonderful evening spent there, I can wholeheartedly recommend it. Definitely not the last time I've been there, I'm looking forward to the next time.

Had the lobster menu……. Very nice service. Aperitif offered. The food was all great, I would say about 15 Gault Millau points. Nice atmosphere, clean toilets etc. We're going again. Thank you for everything!

The new restaurant is a very pleasant surprise and impresses on every level. The menu made it hard for me to choose - I wanted to try everything! Luckily there was a 7-course course - we were allowed to swap two courses without any extra charge, and the (opening?) price of CHF 139 was more than fair! The wine list is also very interesting in my opinion. The ambience and lighting are pleasant and have a simple elegance, so that you can devote yourself entirely to what is happening on the table. Delicious food, generous portions, beautifully presented - an evening-filling delight! Thank you to everyone who made such a memorable, top-class culinary experience possible for us - we wish you the very best for the new year, may it bring you the success you deserve despite the pandemic!

Absolute must! There are far too few restaurants like this in Zurich. With a group of friends we had dinner in the newly opened Hardplatz chez Thomas restaurant on Saturday evening. We were greeted warmly and courteously by the staff right from the start. The atmosphere was also very cozy thanks to the beautiful interior. I particularly liked the elegant parquet floor and the fact that they had my favorite wine glasses (Gabriel glasses). The food and service were at a very high level. You could feel the motivation of the staff. All dishes tasted excellent, the meat was cooked to perfection - great! At the end there were homemade delicacies with coffee. The delicious wines from France can also be showcased. Nothing is missing here. All in all, a really successful evening and everyone was happy. We'll definitely come back soon. Thank you!

A new jewel at Hardplatz! -wonderful service -exquisite food -very nice atmosphere Every dish we had was just amazing. My absolute favorite was the apple tarte (never had such a good apple tarte in my life) and the filet steak (cooked on point and such a superb quality of meat). Service was super friendly and welcoming and very professional. Will come back more often from now on.

The Hardplatz restaurant at Thomas opened recently and was a great discovery one day at lunchtime with perfect service and good dishes. It's nice to have a restaurant that offers a beautiful Swiss wine list. Good beginnings!

The Hardplatz Zurich restaurant chez Thomas has been renovated very elegantly and stylishly and invites you to enjoy a cozy meal. Berat Krasniqi is a born host and warmly welcomes his guests. The kitchen conjures up the finest creations with excellent products. The menu includes French delicacies and seasonal, regional dishes. At lunchtime there are exquisite and inexpensive lunch menus of the best quality. In the evening, the gourmet menu can be enjoyed with the finest wine accompaniment. The wine list also leaves nothing to be desired. We are already looking forward to our next visit to this unique restaurant.
