The place is okay, but the bread is bad. The St. Gallen bread has the shape but by no means the taste of a real St. Gallen bread.

Although I have never eaten here, the last name is an absolute seal of quality in the Höfe. If the son cooks only half as well as the family business bakes, this is an absolute gourmet restaurant! I'm looking forward to eating a menu here soon!

Friday is Wähentag, as the Swiss saying goes! I bought a piece of Chriesiwähiä. Absolutely amazing, not too sweet and baked to perfection. Lovely again. The service is also great!👍🏻

Very good bread and kitchen, but jam, honey and hot chocolate are standard. Great service and view on the lake, interior is cosy but a bit dated.

It was very cozy and had a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, which was conveyed by the staff. Will come again.

We had ordered an aperitif for a wedding which consisted of 2x meter bread sandwiches, various skewers (tomato/mozzarella, raw ham/melon, fruit) and 2 cakes. From ordering to collection, I was always given very competent, friendly and good advice. The food was of the best quality and very, very tasty! I can highly recommend Café Holzofen.

On December 24th we were able to enjoy a very good Fondue Chinoise. Super good sauces and side dishes were available at your discretion.

It would be cozy if it was warmer.

Sunday brunch The brunch is great - the order card was a bit challenging for me... :) It could definitely be simplified/optimized. The food was great, the baked goods were fresh and the price/performance was completely fine. Personal opinion about the building: The building itself should be renovated (railings?) and the furnishings should be modern. We would like to enjoy the view with our business customers, but with this interior... that's not possible - it's a shame.

I ate half a chicken with butter sauce, potatoes and vegetables, it was very tasty and would be recommended at any time, especially the butter sauce! Come back.

I've been to the wood stove a few times now and I've always been very impressed. Very friendly staff and always willing to help, they leave nothing to be desired and try to make everything possible. Both coffee and cake are super delicious. The lunch menus are also outstanding. I warmly recommend the wood stove with a full stomach :) .

Very nice staff both in the bakery and in the cafe itself.. Very large selection of fine sweets and pastries.. The menu also has a very fine selection of dishes.. Kaiserschmarren with plums was super delicious... Berliner with cream was awesome... Kaffi also very good. Furnishings very outdated and special but that doesn't matter when it comes to the food... I would also sit on the floor and enjoy it. The view of the lake is outstanding and beautiful... a paradise in the summer I think... Will definitely come back... Thanks!
