Hostel 77 Bern in Köniz

I was at this hostel, during the 21st -23rd of March 2024, I really liked it, from the receptionists, environment, cleanliness and breakfast, I highly recommend it!! One day returning to Bern, I will stay there again 👏for the team

My friend and I stayed here for a week from March 8-14. We stayed in their 1 room with 2 beds accommodation with shared kitchen, toilet and shower facilities. The room was spacious, clean and has a sink. The kitchen, toilet and showers were clean and well maintained which we appreciate as it is shared by other guests. Breakfast is included which is a bonus for us, though basic selection but we were ok with it. Staff were accommodating and helpful, gave us packed breakfast when we had to leave early for a day trip before breakfast time, and they also arranged taxi going to the train station. Location wise, there is a close bus stop 2 min or less from the hostel which will take you to the center in less than 15 mins. Highly recommended for budget savvy travelers.

Room very simple, slept very well and relaxed. Staff very friendly and committed. Gladly again !

This hostel is so clean, safe, and has amazing facilities like an all-access kitchen, coworking space/library, and big lounge area. It’s a little further from the city center but I appreciated the quiet and the free bus ticket included in check-in (the electronic ticket is good for your entire stay and covers the whole downtown area). It may be the off-season, because my 8-bed female dorm only had 4 women in it one night, and another night I had the room to myself! Loved it, 100% would stay again!

decent little hostel, with very friendly staff and a nice welcome. little bar area in reception and a bigger common room/restaurant at the back with pool table. quiet coworking space and decent kitchen also available. continental breakfast was simple and delicious. rooms are the thing that could be improved; they're fine but not as comfortable or as clever as other hostels, although everything was spotlessly clean. showers were powerful and hot, the wifi was very strong. hard to judge the social side because i visited in february, but i think it would be pretty good. the 19 bus goes directly from the central train station to the hostel. bern is also a pretty city and well worth a visit, good views from the cathedral tower (chf5 entry)

It is not at the outskirts of the city, it is very close to Banhof. If you have confirmation, you could travel for free from the airport and back during the days of stay. I stayed for one day. The reception and other employees are very hospitable.I LIKED breakfast, view from my room,very clean bed, showers and toilettes. But plates and cups for breakfast should be cleaned more thoroughly. And some allergy tags must be added to muesli for example.

Accessible by bus, great welcome, good value for money!

Everything is clean so far and a typical youth hostel is quite expensive for the service offered.

Well, I didn't expect the discrimination against marginalized people, hence the total rip-off operation. I have a lot of trouble when it comes to price/performance!

Cosy and clean place with a good breakfast. They also give you access to free public transportation around the city. The WiFi is strong. It wasn't crowded and there is kitchen, co-working space, a bar and a huge room for activities + children games. Hosts were polite too.

Clean room, impeccable common areas, very pleasant reception. French English Public transport right in front of the hostelry, practical. Very good stay

Let’s start off with the location. It’s very convenient. About 10 mins from the train station if you take the bus#19 and it’s 4 stops away, then 2 mins walk from the stop. Let’s also mention that upon check-in, they will give you free rides on the trams and buses for the entire stay. Building is a bit old but as a hostel, they have everything tidy and operated. Everything was clean too. They provide the linens and towel (upon request) which is awesome as some hostels charge you for towels. Common area is spacious. Although not easy to socialize there but I was okay with that. The 2 girls who were staying in my room were amazing. Breakfast!! Included in the reservation without having to pay extra??? I’ll take that! It was delicious breakfast too. The oatmeal was super yummy. Overall, I wish I stayed there longer but for one night, I really enjoyed my stay & will repeat it again

Excellent in every way, area a little out of the way but well served by public transport. Concerning public transport, we are given a ticket to serve the 5 stops between the hostel and Bern station. Regarding breakfast, it is unlimited and the staff is attentive THANKS !

Its one of the beautiful hotel nd hostel. Affordable. Neat and clean. Breakfast is worth taking. Staffs are very nice. I will definetly reccommend this place

On our tour of Switzerland we mostly stayed in hostels and youth hostels. This hostel had the largest room and even had its own sink in the room. The toilets and showers are available on every corridor and are almost directly opposite the rooms, so you don't have to walk long. The reception was very friendly, the breakfast was good and with vegan/vegetarian options, free, well-functioning WiFi and a bus connection to the city center, which is also free due to the tourist tax. The bus stop is about 1 mij away, the bus comes every 10 minutes and takes about 7-10 minutes to the city center. In short: We thought the hostel was great for our short stay!

Very clean, tidy hostel on the outskirts of Bern. We visited here for one night as a short trip and immediately felt like we were in good hands. Rooms spacious and bright. Youth hostel style with shared bathroom and toilet. Everything neat. As an “encore” a great bonus for every guest is a ticket for the bus and tram for 36 hours 👍and free Wi-Fi in the hostel. Very nice helpful staff. The only small point of criticism was the breakfast offering (incl.) -> it was very manageable but neatly prepared and there was also plenty of space for everyone with a terrace to linger.

He is perfect ! It's comfortable, the welcome is warm and they speak several languages, which is very pleasant. The hotel is well located in the city. I highly recommend. I came at the beginning of July 2022.

It's a bit of a walk from Bern Station. However, when you check in, you will receive a Bern ticket, which will make sightseeing in Bern much easier. This time we stayed in a 6-person dormitory. There are no curtains on each bed, so there is no privacy, but since each bed is far apart, it doesn't really matter. I was able to eat a lot of breakfast. Also, the elevator is an old type, and it's a little scary if you're close to the door because you might get caught lol.

It is in the centre of bern. Walking distance to nearby famous places. Bus stop is just front of the hostel. The hostel is also well furnished and clean. Rooms are clean.

I stayed in this hostel with my work colleagues during the Gurten Festival. The hostel was very clean and had everything needed. In addition to the service, an unpleasant wake-up call was provided free of charge (this cannot be canceled). My colleague and I were woken up by a man screaming in our room. We were chased out of the room and the management was very unprofessional, unfriendly, disrespectful and did not offer any solution, even though the late check out or room change had been agreed. The maid was very friendly. Our privacy was not respected and we felt very unwelcome in this hostel.

Great place if you are traveling solo. Though it's approx 2km away from City center but there is a good connection by bus 19

Amazing !!!! Very clean and very well maintained, good atmosphere. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are very good. The friendliness and kindness of the host. Games room with free billiards and table football. The availability of kitchen and dining room. Totally recommended.

Very pleasant staff, well located hostel a few minutes by bus from the station (bus 19). Full breakfast, clean room. I recommend !

A great hostel! It had a great atmosphere. Downstairs, there was a cute little café. The bathrooms were great and there was a fun little space with hammocks and games. The best thing: they had an amazing all you can eat breakfast which made the price extremely worth it. Also, my friend ran into some trouble and had to cancel the night of her stay and they did not charge her for cancelling day off! Would highly recommend.

It's about 15 minutes' drive from Bern city, and the accommodation provides free transportation to Bern city. The equipment is good, old but clean, and there is free breakfast.

lovely hostel, staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. they sell food and drink there. rooms and beds were clean, with fresh laundry provided on beds. our room had a sink which was useful but there were many bathrooms and shower rooms which were also clean and very spacious. there was only one kitchen but when we were there there was enough space for everyone to cook, also very well stocked with equipment. they provided free breakfast which was lovely, with a large range of food to choose from with even some homemade stuff which tasted great. you receive a receipt upon entry which gives you a free bus ticket from the hostel for the duration of your stay - this was extremely useful as we didn’t how how swiss buses worked haha. they were especially accommodating when our train was at midnight and let us stay until we had to go catch our train in the leisure room. would definitely recommend!
