The food was really good. And the price is reasonable. Probably the best thai place in Bern. It was better than White Elephant in Zurich, which was far more expensive.

Large and good portions, the service was a bit overwhelmed as we wanted to eat outside in the sunshine. Then billed the meal as take away.

I was traveling in Thailand for 6 months and completely immersed myself in Thai culture through exclusive contact with Thais. As the only "falang" (foreigner, tourist) I attended a wedding, ate for free every day for 4 weeks in a restaurant near Bangkok, and was invited to many private homes from all walks of life. What a 20 year old. It's pretty unthinkable for tourists. FOR THIS REASON I CAN SAY ONE THING FOR CERTAIN (as a "sitting guest" with a lot of time - IMPORTANT ‼️ I don't know how to deliver): THIS IS BY FAR‼️the BEST Thai restaurant in the entire region. EVERYTHING, really everything, is prepared by hand, like in many small restaurants in Thailand that are only visited by locals!! I spoke to the landlady for a long time and she herself said about the starter that this one (-TYPE) dish would be extremely much mean work AND time. VERY SIMPLY IN SUMMARY: you can either buy a curry - as probably 98% of all Swiss Thai restaurants do. Or as I saw it myself with my good friend in Thailand: GARLIC, HERBS, CHILLIS and countless other ingredients are laboriously pounded and pressed by HAND IN A MORTAR BY A WOMAN for an hour or two, UNTIL FINALLY THE MAIN INGREDIENTS are just one Food is prepared = the CURRYPASTE👍 So, dear visitors: THE QUALITY is INCREDIBLE for me as a "Thai insider" (2 older ladies take care of the kitchen day in and day out for ONLY five tables + the landlady!!) ‼️Totally apart from that sparse DECOR. Something that caused a lot of criticism from some of the restaurant critic "Guide Michelin" (1-3 ⭐) was that not only the cuisine, like its eternal opponent "Gault-Millau" (1-20 POINTS), but also... exactly how the chandeliers and silver cutlery were rated. ‼️FOR THIS SOLE REASON, the prices for this extraordinary CUISINE, WHOSE FRESHNESS, PERFECTION and the associated TIME EXPENDITURE is SEASONED with LOVE, are far too much too low ‼️ Please give a GOOD TIP so that this restaurant will stay with us for a long time 🙏 KAP KHUN KHRÀP 🙏

We had a really nice dinner at Krua. The food was delicious, real taste of Thailand plus the service on point. The lady who served us was super nice and friendly. Highly recommend.

The food here is very good. I often use the take away and occasionally also the restaurant. Price/performance ratio is OK, but the ambience in the restaurant is a bit special.

Very good little Thai restaurant. Located opposite the Royal Thai Embassy. The food is excellent and the dishes are generously garnished. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is very attentive and good in contact. I highly recommend this place.

If you go to the embassy area, don't forget to stop by. Park the car next to the embassy and walk a short distance. Sit and order food Convenient drinks, delicious food, good service, inexpensive prices. Whisper that the banana cake is soft and delicious. Not dry and hard But you must order in advance.

We decided to dine in and were the only ones there. So the service was great haha The menu was dope with a cool 3D cover!! We ordered pad Thai, tofu noodles, and beef curry. Everyone just said that the taste was okay but nothing really to write home about. I enjoyed the welcomeness of the service but probably say to try somewhere else.

Best Authentic thai restaurant in Bern. Real Thai soup with thai herbs and veggies. Somtam (papaya salad) is also very delicious ! You may need to take a bus to get there but it's located 30 seconds to walk from the bus stop number 19 called "Steihozli" Service is very polite and smiley :) Highly recommend !!!

Friendly service and a good quality Panang curry for a well-priced lunch! It was the daily lunch special and the portion and food quality were very high for the price. Cannot give 5 stars since I've had better Thai food at other Bern restaurants. However, it's a good lunch option. I wouldn't consider it for a nice dinner spot.

As already written in various reviews, Krua Thai is in fact by far the best Thai restaurant in Bern: a real insider tip! As I can confirm from personal experience, the food tastes just like in Thailand: everything is freshly prepared and served with a friendly smile. The ambience is also reminiscent of Thailand - no wonder, right next to the Royal Thai Embassy in Bern. I've eaten here many times and always enjoy coming back!
