The room is very clean, the breakfast is very good. It’s a very quiet hotel. COOP is 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The owner is really nice and cooperative. A little story to tell, I forgot my phone in the room and when they found it a couple of days later, they kept it safe until the owner delivered it to me personally.

Our honest review of the Hotel Adler at Dorfstrasse 36 in Sigriswil: Our recent hotel stay left a strong negative impression, marked by a multitude of difficulties and inconveniences that marred our entire stay. Organizational deficiencies became apparent as soon as we arrived when the hostess couldn't find our booking. Repeated requests for our name suggested poor communication and inadequate organization. Unfortunately these difficulties continued throughout our time at the hotel. The dining experience at the hotel was a bitter disappointment. The food suffered from constantly excessive salt content, and unfortunately we even had to experience flies populating our soup bowl. In addition to long waits in the restaurant, we were forgotten more than once, resulting in us having to skip our dessert. It was clear that such issues were not isolated, as we observed other guests struggling with similar challenges. The service competence of the staff in the restaurant was extremely questionable. The table assignments were chaotic and ensured that we sat in a different seat every morning. Confusion and overwhelm from staff resulted in many guests, including us, having to search for their table and ask for additional information. The motivation of most employees left a lot to be desired. There were even employees who spoke neither German nor English, which meant they couldn't understand our requests. A lack of towels in the room and multiple forgotten or intentionally delayed bills led to further frustration and inconvenience. The hotel owner himself did not convey a professional appearance by wearing worn jeans and faded shirts. His tour of the guests through the hotel seemed disorganized and overwhelmed. What was unpleasant was the behavior of his children, who ran around the hotel uncontrollably and stared at the guests during meals while their parents watched idly. The breakfast was also disappointing. The coffee was more like colored water, and the only egg offered was hard-boiled and served so hot that we had to wait before it could even be touched. A broken toaster further contributed to the deterioration of the breakfast experience. What was particularly alarming, however, was a disturbing discovery we made during our stay. In a lounge, next to the usual magazine games, we found folders clearly marked "Wages". This incident raises significant privacy concerns as sensitive information such as employee wages appears to have been retained without adequate protection. This negligence not only reflects poorly on management, but also highlights the lack of protection of confidential data. This data breach is another example of the multitude of issues that negatively impacted our experience at this hotel. It is hoped that management will consider this serious matter and take appropriate steps to ensure the privacy and data protection of its guests and employees in the future. In summary, the hotel seemed to cut corners in many areas, which seriously affected the service and the overall experience. Although the rooms were mostly clean, their age and need for renovation left a lot to be desired. Overall, our stay at the hotel left a lasting, but unfortunately negative, impression. There are undoubtedly better alternatives for a pleasant stay. We really enjoyed Sigriswil, but unfortunately not our stay at the Hotel Adler.

The hotel parking lot is large so parking is convenient. The room furniture is not new, but everything in the room is clean. In particular, the bedding is very soft. Wir wollten eigentlich heute nur etwas trinken, aber 45min bevor die Reservationen eintrafen, wollte uns niemend an einem Sonnenplatz haben. Dachte eigentlich das die Wirte nach einem Jahr Corona jeden Gast noch so gerne haben möchten, aber die Frau im Servce hat uns zu verstehen gegeben, dass man uns nicht haben wollte!
