Hôtel Alpes & Rhône *** in Martigny

Family run hotel - no eating or drinking in the room!! A bank key is a “key.” If you call before arriving at the hotel, the hotel staff will be wearing fluorescent vests. Bus parking is provided, and buses are parked in a space right next to the hotel. When you enter the lobby, the room key is handed out. Lip reception is on the 6th floor! For rooms on the 7th floor, get off at the 6th floor and use the refrigerator elevator. You have to ride up (the staff will kindly guide you) 6th floor-Restaurant (Breakfast tailored to your desired time/Dinner menu: salad & roast beef (mushroom sauce) noodles + ice cream)/There is hot water so you can eat ramen together at the restaurant. The drink menu is clearly written in Korean. As a side note, when talking to the staff and having dinner (hotel style), Side meals such as ramen & hetbahn (heated in a microwave) are available. When ordering additional beverages, wine, etc., payment by credit card, euros, and francs is possible. Wi-Fi is also attached to the wall on the 6th floor. Hotel cozy and friendly! Room styles are all different!

The room was small but clean, and most of all, the surrounding area was great for walking, shopping, and having a drink.

I wake up in the morning and look out the window I thought it was a drama set.

The lady boss came out to meet me. It's nice to welcome you. The restaurant is nice and small too. The meal was as heartwarming as a home-cooked meal.

3 stars 1 elevator, reception and breakfast room on the 6th floor For the elevator going to the 7th floor, go down to the 6th floor and change to the refrigerator elevator. Wafa has separate lobby and guest rooms, with off-hours service. Open the kitchen door with a key and a round magnetic key. It’s the key so I have to lock the door.

Good hotel, good welcome and great place

The hotel was a bit outdated, but was well prepared for groups of cyclists like us. We felt good.

Great ambience with friendly staff for stopover drinks and meals.

The staff is very friendly, you can get by with German. The hotel needs to be modernized a bit, the elevator only goes to one destination, for example it passes you empty and there is no air conditioning.

Simply in a great location for excursions. Very friendly service, clean rooms, very varied and good food

An update of the room would not be a luxury

I spent a week in this very friendly hotel. Everything fit; the room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds, and the breakfast was extremely plentiful and filling for the whole day. Also worth mentioning is the very friendly staff, who gave me a little plush Barry as a farewell gift, which will always remind me of my stay at Alpes&Rhône.

With the Tour de Romandie team, we were noisy, but the welcome remained very friendly

Solo almorzamos aquí en medio de una ventisca. Acogedor, buena comida y una buena selección de vinos franceses. Céntrico. El amable personal, pero no hablaba inglés, sin embargo nuestro francés era lo suficientemente pasable para ordenar, obtener lo que queríamos y disfrutar de nosotros mismos.

Après une visite au Musée Giannadaune restauration soigné avec du personnel sympathique Rien à redire Tout est "en ordre" comme on dit là bas

Bon rapport qualité/prix. accueil sympa Menu à 17 sfr comprenant potage, salade mixte, plat du jour et dessert. Un régal.

Nous aimons bien cet établissement, Toutefois, le côté chaleureux nous semble trop artificiel, étrange, un peu lointain, genre école hôtelière. Pourquoi? Convenable pour un diner d'affaire, mais moins pour le touriste de passage.

Sehr freundlicher und schneller Service guter Salat mit einem feinem Walliser Teller sehr zu Empfehlen.Hier geh ich wieder hin immer wieder.

Cuisine traditionnel.Cette adresse est plus destinée au cars de touriste allemand ou autres voyageur de masse.Jambon à l'os Gratin.Position centrale mais aucune découverte à faire.

Tout comme la partie "hôtel", le restaurant de l'hôtel est à recommander. Le service impeccable et les produits sont toujours très frais et bien présentés sur l'assiette. Du côté "Bistrot" de l'hôtel, qui est très sympa aussi, on vous servira exactement les mêmes plats que dans la grande salle de restaurant. Des journaux du jour sont mis à disposition de la clientèle dans la partie Bistrot ainsi qu'une tv à écran plat qu'ils ouvrent le soir lorsqu'il y a, entre autre, des matchs de coupe du monde de footboal.

Etant arrivé relativement tard (vers les 22h00), nous avons eu tout de même un repas (retenu à l'avance par le guide des Voyages Léonard). La nourriture était bonne et on pouvait même en redemander... L’accueil y était simplement un peu froid...
