Hôtel de la Poste in Le Chenit

A beautiful restaurant where you eat very well in a friendly atmosphere with very friendly owners.

First visit today for my friend and me to the Restaurant at the Hôtel de la Poste. Warm and very pleasant welcome. Fast service. We ate very well: fillet of féra from Lac de Joux with a caper sauce: succulent. The horse steak was very tender, excellent quality. What can we say about homemade Tiramisu! A delight! Well done and thank you! We will return.

The welcome that Fernando and Annie give us is always warm and that is why we like to eat regularly at the Hôtel de la Poste. The prawns, perch fillets, meats on slate are always excellent and we recommend them.

I had great food for a very reasonable price. Tomato and mozzarella salad at the starter. Then truffle fagottini. And to finish, a homemade tiramisu, which flows down your throat. I was hungrier and in a good family atmosphere.

Our stay in the very tastefully renovated Hôtel de la Post left nothing to be desired.

We were very well received. We ate very well: filet of féra from Lac de Joux with a caper sauce: succulent. Horse and beef steaks are very tender. Our daughter received a very nice treat for her birthday. We had a pleasant time. It will be a pleasure to return there.

We ate there on a Monday at lunchtime. It was really good. (Prawns with curry cream sauce, 35 francs) with a salad as a starter included in the price (very good “homemade” salad sauce). For desserts there was a "mini" version for ice cream sundaes. (Good idea) Correct quantities and reasonable prices. There is also a daily menu (this day there was salad as a starter, slice of breaded pork, pasta, vegetables and dessert for 19 francs. Very friendly welcome. There is also a terrace and a large parking lot. We do not We have never been disappointed and I recommend this restaurant.

The whole place seems to have been renovated! Very clean and new! Our room was spacious, light and comfortable but the "hotel" part seems very subsidiary to the "restaurant" part of the business. No-one was available for us to check in until someone arrived at 5pm on a Saturday. He was unwilling to offer breakfast on Sunday morning except at 9.30am, saying that Sunday was a closed day. But there was a garage for our bikes, the room was lovely (though the pillows seemed odd to us) and it was convenient for us to leave early and eat in a cafe 1km away in Le Sentier.

Excellent cuisine, great service. Le jour où nous sommes allés, il y avait deux servers. A girl and professional and a man in a t-shirt rouge. Celui-ci a délibérément osé me mettre le couvert par derrière en coinçant mon cou et mes cheveux avec ses bras. Très désagréable et geste déplacé, si un jour je doit y retourner j'espère ne pas devoir revoir ce monsieur. Good food, disappointing service. The day we went to the restaurant it had two waiters. A waitress who did her job perfectly and a man in a red T-shirt. He dared to deliberately put the cutlery at the table from behind and clamped my hair and neck between his arms. Very awkward moment and inappropriate gesture. If I ever have to go back there, I hope I won't have to meet this gentleman again. Excellent food, disappointing service. The day we went there, there were two waiters. A very professional and polite woman and a man in a red shirt. Hey deliberately dared to put the flatware from behind my back and therefore squeezing my hair and neck between his arms, which resulted in a very unpleasant, awkward moment and a completely inappropriate gesture. If one day I'll have to return to this place, I can only hope I won't be seeing this guy again! Excellent food, service chafa. The day is always happy for the seasons. A lot of people have to work like God and a king in the red player. It is important to remember that the manera delivered a ponerme los cubiertos por atrás, cogiéndome los cabellos y el cuello con sus brazos. Fue a momento muy desagradable y un gesto desplazado. If you spend a day there, you will turn to this man, but you will not be able to find him again.

We won't go back! Old-fashioned atmosphere, unfriendly staff, slow & not attentive to the paying customer! Damage... We made two comments, the first on the waiting time, a Friday, restaurant far from full, the second on the severe lack of seasoning (other than pepper and salt available on the table) the boss and the sommelier have found as defense: only the aggressive attack! After paying the bill, I wrote to a friend in the area to express my dissatisfaction with this restaurant. Bad luck, she had come the day before...same observation on her part. Ouch! Good quality meat But avoid salmon and beef tartars...
