We went to Rössli again to eat game. Chapeau the kitchen, the service and the whole ambience. PERFECT!! we will definitely come back.

Disaster!!! I have never had worse accommodation in my life. Don't be fooled by the photos on the internet. Upon request, they won't even give you proof of payment (I'm attaching a real photo of the accommodation), ps. One night CHF 70 per person.

Prices are def. Salted, sorry, that's not possible. Not suitable for vegetarians. I think there are better options.

It's usually cool, but it's really good.

Unfortunately, the American BBQ on July 15, 2022 was a big disappointment. I am convinced that the pulled pork and brisket were prepared sous vide. The smoke flavor was missing and the brisquette didn't have the slightest trace of a smoke ring. The sparibs were dry and the silver skin had not been removed. I would have expected the bones to fall out on their own, far from it. The desserts were not fresh, probably bought ready-made and thawed. As I said, this is just my personal opinion, but when people talk about American BBQ, I would have expected the big pieces Los&Slow... and not cooked in water...

Hotel booked a week ago and confirmed in writing. One day before the start of the trip my booking was canceled on the grounds that the hotel was overbooked. Instead of an apology, I was yelled at on the phone.

We enjoyed the vinegar tasting! I'm still curious how their salt bar works: can one taste the many different salts? For these attractions, I'm interested in visiting this restaurant again! However, we came here primarily for having an early dinner: we found the food we ordered to be a bit saltier than we were used to. Perhaps if we had worked up more of a sweat during our pre-dinner hike, we would have needed to replenish more electrolytes? We had the daily special, and some Chürbissuppä mit Öpfel. The Gmischtä Winterblattsalat was great! As was the bread. If I return, I'll try to have a conversation about salt: figuring out the salt bar, and finding an item on the menu that might suit my palate better.

It was simply heavenly: fallow deer fillet with walnut russchtä, blueberry isosa, creamed savoy cabbage, Schupfnudlä and Rotwiibirä ..... mmmmmh! PS: it's just a conventional game dish... 😉 . We can highly recommend the Rössli. Here we cook with a lot of imagination and love, making it a joy. Keep it up, Ms. BLösch!

Familienessen- wir hatten Leberli/Rösti, Entrecote, Ravioli, Cordonbleu, Spätzli alles sehr fein, wurde alles aufgegessen. Salat zur Vorspeise gute Portion mit leckerer Sauce. Eine Person hatte nur Spätzli bestellt, wofür ein eher grosser Betrag verrechnet wurde... Sehr leckeres Essen!

Rooms are very old and nothing has been renovated, it is not clean, holes and stains in bed sheets, no private shower in every room, TV not in every room..

Good Vesperplättli eaten, beautifully prepared with different types of meat, cheese, cucumbers, radishes, eggs. Highly recommended. If I come back to Schönenberg I will definitely stop there. Very nice service.

The food tastes excellent. The veal chop on the bone was very tender and the meat was well grilled and had a strong flavor. The butcher's tea was also very good and the portions were adjusted so that it was possible to order a selection of dishes. Very friendly service. We will definitely come back 👍

Two times not convinced for how it is advertised. - Salt bar: would have expected more. It's nothing special - Meat: The quality (is it the preparation?) never corresponds to the price. - more of the meat: Instead of a club steak there was a T-bone from which the fillet was cut out!! Incredible. It was actually raw. - Oversalt the scallops, it's a shame they're expensive. Chicory was chewy! That was on the first visit to the Rössli. Next time: - Vegetables overcooked. It's a shame, it wouldn't be so difficult to prepare. - Meat, again: inedible. Tough as leather. One of (our) guests got diarrhea. This is a joke and it's not true! This was communicated to the staff and they took note. Not more. Service: So-so. One is good, an employee. What was good? Both times the Cordonbleu were great. What I would have expected is a perfectly prepared piece of meat just as it is offered for sale. Maybe we were just unlucky. Twice.

Very good. Varied cuisine, good meat, creative desserts at reasonable prices. Not aloof and you feel comfortable.

Open at Christmas! Lots of parking spaces. Pleasant atmosphere. Simple, beautiful table decoration, not overloaded, not kitschy. Celery and pear soup very fine and very tasty. Different kinds of bread; Beetroot bread is a hit! Dry Aged T-Bone Steak simply delicious; from the Green Egg with a slight smoky taste. If you like meat, a good choice. Meat unsalted, but there are many types of salt to choose from from the salt bar. Wine, Ribera del Duero, went very well with the meat, easy drinking, nicely embedded aromas, round and soft, pleasant wine. Friendly and competent service from Ms. BLösch. No waiting times. The whole thing isn't exactly cheap, but it's worth every franc. We will be back!

Oh well. It used to be better. Fallow deer fillet very tender, but tasted a bit burnt. Creamed savoy cabbage good but a little too weak in taste, too many "Storzen" panicles, undercooked and therefore too "charcoal". Service friendly, but a bit too intrusive. Wanted to sell as much as possible

Here we dreamed of a Chateau-Briand...What was then served had nothing to do with what was on offer .It was a dish of poor quality including the accompanying side dishes .Doesn't invite you to come back...

Best wiener schnitzel up in the hills!!! Quiet, you can hear the church bells at four am, the tractor at siesta afternoons, green hills a perdre de vue. Horses,bikes....slow country pace, nice to rest but boring after a while! Very old decoration needs a lifting.

We had a meeting of former truck drivers and ate here. The food and the staff were very good.

All in all, the rooms and the shared toilets and showers are in great need of renovation. The old paint is really peeling off the walls in the hallways. If you want to arrive on a rest day. The room keys are left in an open box outside the back entrance. So recently, despite the name tags, someone else took our reserved room...

Simply great. Whether it's a company event, a family event or a fine dinner for two - everyone is friendly and offers very good quality service and cuisine.

Am vergangenen Wochenende organisierten wir einen Whisky-Event mit einer der grossen Whiskylegenden aus Schottland. Dieser Event fand im Hotel Restaurant Rössli statt. Was Rita und ihre Equipe für diesen Anlass zauberte war einmalig und schlicht sensationell. Ein engagiertes und sehr freundliches Personal rundet den tollen Eindruck ab! Die dreifache Vorspeise war schlicht ein Gedicht und der Hauptgang (Schmorbraten und Filet vom Hereford-Rind) zart und von allerbester Qualität.

Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin und Servicepersonal! Wir werden jedesmal freundlich empfangen sowie sehr nett und zuvorkommend bedient. Service einfach top!!! Das Essen ist fantastisch! Es wird immer frisch gekocht. Abwechslungsreiche Speisekarte. Gemütliches Ambiente. Wir kommen immer sehr gerne ins Rössli!

Wir haben eine runden Geburtstag mit einem Nachtessen zu fünft gefeiert! Obwohl wir frühzeitig gebucht hatten, wurden wir in der (lauten) Gaststube, nahe des Eingang und direkt vis-à-vis der Theke platziert! Auf unsere Nachfragen erhielten wir in der ruhigeren „Stube“ ein enger Tisch! Recht unwillig hat die Serviererin den Tisch gedeckt! Überhaupt von Gastfreundschaft war nichts zu spüren! Das Essen, Fleisch vom heissen Stein, war ausgezeichnet! Aber in einem Gasthof gehört eingentlich Gastfreundschaft dazu.....

Wir waren immer wieder im Rössli essen und jedes Mal war es Top und auch der Service stimmt. Hier wird der Gast noch war genommen. Die Tagesmenus sind sehr vielfällig und nicht jede Woche das gleiche, wie bei manchen anderen Restaurant. Die Speise und Weinkarte lässt keinen Wunsch offen. Der heisse Stein ist auch sehr zum empfehlen und auch eine Übernachtung ist im Hotel möglich. Die Themenabende sind absolut Spitze und erfolgreich. Eine Reservation lohnt sich immer. Nur zum empfehlen

Great restaurant with good home cooking

Not really a Halal Restorant...only serve Indian Buffet every 2 week. Might mislead travellers seeking for a Halal food provider.

Wir wollten im Säle essen, wurden jedoch auf die Terrasse geführt und damit den drohenden Unwetter ausgesetzt. Das Essen war einfach, reichlich Fleisch, knackiges Gemüse. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Wirtin haben wir im Hintergrund am Stammtisch gehen wurden aber als neue Gäste nicht begrüsst.. Als wir in die Wirtsstube vor dem Regen flohen und den Kaffeegetrunken haben, sehe wir die Wirtin auch hier am Stammtisch. Keine Frage nach der Zufriedenheit, kein Dank, keine Abschiedsworte. Grusslos verliessen wir das Haus. Wir haben immerhin zu zweit fürFr. 170.00 konsumiert. Unser Rat: Pflege der Stammkundschaft ist ok, neue Kunden zu erhalten wäre optimal. Für beide Seiten.

Wir waren zu viert mit einem Gutschein von DeinDeal im Rössli. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und professionell. Das Essen schmeckte uns allen sehr gut, das Fleisch war weltmeisterlich zubereitet. Alles in allem ein gelungenes Abendessen in einem schönen Lokal.

Wir waren zu einem Abendessen dort -- die Karte besteht aus Schweizer Klassikern, ein paar Asia-Thai-Gerichten und Fleisch auf dem Heissen Stein - ich hatte zur Vorspeise Kokossuppe mit Gemüse, die geschmacklich fein war - das Fleisch auf dem Heissen Stein, in meinem Fall Entrecote, war sehr fein und die Beilagen, Kroketten und Gemüse, auch - kleine, aber gute Weinkarte und der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam - so hatte auch der Nachtisch, ein Coupé Dänemark, noch Platz - Fazit: empfehlenswert und gute Qualität

Essen und Lokation Top mit vielen selbstgemachten Gerichten. Ein schöner Saal für gemütliche Familienfeiern.

Das Restaurant serviert warme Speisen, Kaffee und Süßigkeiten jederzeit während des Tages. Ich war dort für das Schnitzel, meine Freundin für den Fisch und Chips. Es war sehr gut und auch der Service ist freundlich. Es gibt auch Tische im Freien.
