Great restaurant. Very friendly service and interesting and tasty dishes.

We arrived early and had the place to ourselves. We could hear the chef pounding our chicken. Her Cordon Bleu was the best we have ever had. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.

This restaurant is right on the main street. It has a wonderful terrace with a view of the lake, the Alps and the landscape. The staff is very friendly, attentive and flexible. You can order food at 1:30 p.m. even though they close at 2 p.m. The food is very good and the price is reasonable. I would happily recommend Restaurant Sonnegg!

Great lunch menus at reasonable prices.

I was unfortunate to have had no train from Lucerne to merlischachen due to bad weather. I took a bus to Meggen but then I needed either to walk or take a taxi. I stopped at this restaurant frazzled and in need. I was keen to have something to eat, toilet, and then find my way 10km to where my hotel was. The waitress was so asinine that I ended up leaving without food as she refused to help me with a taxi and kept telling me there was a bus stop near. Disgraceful.

Sonnegg war wunderbar. Wir saßen auf ihrem Balkon und schauten auf den Vierwaldstättersee und die Alpen. Das Kalbfleisch Wurst und Rösti und ein Gericht mit einem Rösti in Käsesauce und einem Ei war ein Traum. Auf jeden Fall empfehlen!

Wir haben zu lange auf die Bedienung warten müssen obwohl es im Lokal recht leer war. Da wir wenig Zeit hatten sind wir wieder gegangen. Ob das Essen gut ist können wir nicht beurteilen.

Highly Recommended! Delicious Swiss cuisine (e.g. Rösti, various Cordon Blue, Geschnetzeltes) at really reasonable prices for this area - with full plates and nice service. In summer there is a view of the lake from the terrace.

Das riesen Cordon Bleu ist fein - hat viel Käse und geschmacklich gut. Die Pommes könnten knuspriger sein, sind jedoch sehr gut gewürzt. Der Service ist ok. Nichts besonderes aber freundlich. An der Aufmerksamkeit könnte man noch ein bisschen arbeiten. Ambiente ist auch in Ordnung. Das ganze ist Beiz-mässig, haben jedoch einen kleinen hinteren Teil, wo es "eleganter" ist. Jedoch hat man dort eher das Gefühl, dass man flüstern müsse.

Wir waren dort an einem Sonntag Nacht, obwohl keine Reservierungen, freundliches Personal immer noch einen Tisch für uns organisiert ( wir fühlten uns sofort willkommen ) . . . . . . . . . . Das Restaurant ist gemütlich, es hat ein paar Auswahl auf der Speisekarte. Ich bestellte knusprig Huhn und ich fand es klasse! Alle meine Freunde gefiel ihr Essen so gut, so dass jeder zufrieden ist. Abgesehen davon, die Preise sind auch zivil, ich kann das Restaurant jedem empfehlen, hatten die Chance hat, hier zu Besuch.

While we were for one night at Lucerne, both me and my wife spent some time looking and driving around trying to find a local (for locals) place for dinner. This is a great alternative, with great local swiss style food, comfortable place and mid-range prices, friendly staff and even friendly local people gather there anytime to eat and relax. Ob als Gruppe oder nur zu zweit bietet dieses Restaurant alles was es für einen gelungenen Abend braucht.Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich!Von aussen fast ein bisschen unscheinbar, biete das Sonnegg ein tolles Ambiente und eine supper Aussicht auf die Rigi von der Terrasse aus.Die Menukarte begeistert mich durch ihre Vielfältigkeit. Vom Cordon Bleu zum Flammkuchen hin zum Fleisch auf dem heissen Stein und zu den Salattellern ist alles vertreten.Ich habe schon mehrere Angebote auf der Karte probiert und wurde noch nie entäuscht! Die frisch zubereiteten Speisen sind sehr lecker und das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis absolut Top.Auch bei mehreren Personen läuft immer alles wie geschmiert und jeder bekommt das, was er bestellt hat.Rundum kann ich dem Sonnegg-Team nur ein riesen Kompliment geben und weiter so!

Ich war nun schon einige male im Sonnegg essen, und probierte verschiedene Gerichte, der Burger war 1. Klasse, die Pommes waren super gewürzt und die Portionen Perfekt für meinen meist grossen Hunger!Nebst dem Burger ist auch das Schnitzel, die falschen Schneggen und das Risotto schon auf meinem Teller gelandet und ebenso sehr Deliziös. Der Service und das ganze Team ist überaus freundlich und stets aufgestellt. Die Preise sind für das Gebotene durchaus fair.Auf den Punkt gebracht, werde ich mir weiterhin regelmässig im Sonnegg den Gaumen verwöhnen lassen. Macht weiter so!

Wir hatten unser Taufessen im Sonnegg durchgeführt. Das "Wirtepaar" ist sehr zuvorkommend und top in Sachen Gästebetreuung. Wir konnten gemeinsam die Tischdeko nach Wunsch gestalten und einen etwas abgetrennten Raum erhalten. Das Ambiente war liebevoll geschmückt und der Empfang herzlich.Das Essen (4 Gang Menu) war top (Suppe, Salat, Hauptgang, Nachtisch). Das Rindfilet Stroganoff ein wahrer Genuss und auch ein Nachschlag bekam man auf ohne Nachfragen bis man satt war. Überzeugt haben mich:- Die Gastfreundschaft des Personals- Das Essen (qualitativ, quantitativ und optisch)- Das Ambiente Auf jeden Fall immer wieder gerne!

Wir sind zu acht im Restaurant Sonnegg zum Nachtessen. Die Chefin hat und sehr freundlich begrüsst.Wir assen alle etwas anderes vom heissen Stein bis zum Rahmschnitzel. Trotz das das Restaurant gut besucht war, mussten wir nicht lange auf das feine Essen warten. Der Service war perfekt, herzlich, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Am feinen Essen könnten sich ein paar Restaurants eine Scheibe abschneiden. War alles wunderbar lecker !

Nach einer Wanderung das Restaurant durch Zufall entdeckt.. Straussenfilet und Lammnierstück auf heissem Stein bestellt. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet! Ambiente und Service ebenfalls. Preis/Leistung: top! Sehr empfehlenswert! 👍🏼

Angefangen vom exzellenten Service über die detailverliebte Zubereitung köstlicher Speisen konnten wir nichts kritisieren. Wie saßen bei herrlichem Sonnenschein auf der Terrasse und haben die Gerichte genossen. Hervorragende Weine.

We wanted a no nonsense place to eat with our children (7-9) who are picky eaters. This place was open and the waitress we had was extremely nice. The food was good (although I wonder who can actually eat that XL schnitzel they advertise!) but what we especially liked was the little touches like the "amuse" that was brought out for free (yes...in Switzerland!)Good eat for very reasonable prices.
