Food super delicious! The rooms were a bit too cold. Luckily I had a scarf with me.

Cheating on price and portions! According to the menu on the website it says 180 CHF, but the charge is 192 CHF. Complaint is dismissed. In addition, the portion for 6 people is relatively smaller than that for 2 people. Juice shop!

Mega delicious authentic food. I have visited many Lebanese/Oriental restaurants in Switzerland and abroad and I have to say that this is one of the best, the food tastes like home cooking in other words; a culinary journey. Which is really rare to find these days. The hosts are also extremely friendly and you can feel how much passion they put into their work. I've already taken a few colleagues to the restaurant and everyone has always been blown away. I can't understand the negative reviews at all, in my opinion those critics have no idea about good food. You're happy to pay a lot for a fine meal, quality has its price. Dear HoM, keep it up!!!

I experienced a real highlight in this restaurant last Saturday. The dishes were not only fresh and delicious, but also prepared with a sophisticated touch. The friendly and attentive staff created a pleasant atmosphere. This restaurant has definitely become my favorite place and I can't wait to go back soon. Absolutely recommended for all connoisseurs

Decoration: When I walked in I felt like I was in a construction site. There was simply no decoration and I didn't feel like I was in a restaurant. It wasn't Lebanese either. Service: The waiters were very lost. We ordered 3 shawarma plates with fries and 2 of them came with rice. The waitress didn't know the number of our table at first, asked if we had ordered that, said no, we ordered 3x with fries and left again. Later the other waiter came with the same food and said they cooked it wrong, left us the plates but brought a plate with fries. I, who worked in the catering industry at the time, don't think it's a good thing when they give us the wrong plate and then bring us more food, because that's food waste. The food came too quickly anyway, which is never a good sign, I think they should have taken it straight to the kitchen and given us the correct plate. The food arrived cold because the second waiter came a little later to tell us. Food: We ordered mezze first: the falafel and R2a2 were good. The kibbeh was not as it should be. Hummus with minced meat, there was so much minced meat and oil, we couldn't taste the hummus. Tabouleh, oh my god, there was hardly any parsley and too many tomatoes, it must be the other way around. And now: the shawarma plate, which arrived cold and wrong, was not shawarma in itself. I'm pretty sure they know what a real shawarma tastes like and how it's made, but they don't make it, which is a real shame. The grill plate combo for the price was a complete joke. 44 francs and they couldn't even season the taaok properly. The meat wasn't fresh. But the kafta was good. Conclusion: Everything 245 francs. I'm never coming here again. As a Lebanese, I am simply shocked at how they have messed up our kitchen and made it so expensive. What shocks me even more are the reviews. I think the people giving 4-5 stars have never really eaten Lebanese before. Also... my parents had a real stomach ache that evening because they both ate the grilled plate.

The food is really top. There's nothing you can say. The employees often seem bored and not entirely organized. If the food wasn't so good, they would probably have a harder time...

The only prblem is the Toilets are not in tbe same building!! You have to go out in the rain!! Otherwise everything is good 🙂

I would like to share my experience in your restaurant, which unfortunately did not meet my expectations. The lemonade I ordered tasted exclusively of lemon, which was disappointing for me personally. In addition, we were asked to leave the restaurant early at 8:45 p.m., even though the opening hours were stated until 10:00 p.m. I found this to be unreasonable, especially considering that the prices are not exactly affordable. The lack of adequate heating also contributed to the atmosphere not being particularly pleasant. It was cold. When paying, you are almost forced to tip because you question the amount. Either I'm happy to spend it myself or I pay for my consumption and nothing more. I hope my feedback will help improve the quality of service.

Food top. Unfortunately, you are not told that the flatbread is charged extra for the platter. Which is a shame if you didn't even order it.

I found the service nice, tea and coffee were very good. The 4 mezzes (3 warm, 1 cold) that we tried were unfortunately rather bland and not very tasty. I was also bothered by the flatbreads wrapped in plastic, which weren't outstanding either. As a comparison I can e.g. B. go to the "Yalda" in Zurich, where the food tastes much better in my opinion. I'm sorry, I can't write anything better here, but I think it's important to give feedback even if an experience was mediocre.

I ordered vegan food to take away. However, I was given vegetarian food. Since it was already later, they couldn't give me any other food. So I didn't pay for anything and didn't even get my money back.

The best shawarma in Zurich, I promise you

I bought food worth 27 francs (8.90 francs paid) through Too good to go. I got a salad, a kind of pasta salad with just tomatoes and chickpeas and white rice with rice noodles. The latter had no real taste and I bit into a stone that was inside. In summary, you don't get food worth 27 francs and the quality leaves a LOT to be desired. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed because that's not the point of too good to go.

Was served meat that was full of tendons, chewy and impossible to enjoy. This was supposed to be a Shawarma in platter, but it was the leftovers of meat cooked. I also ordered hummus, and it wasn’t any other thing but a pure of chickpeas without tahini. Wouldn’t come back again.

Unbelievable good! Addendum 2 years later. Unfortunately not so good anymore. During your company holidays in the summer, the offers on “too good too go” simply continue, so you pay and go to the restaurant, which is closed. Exactly the same thing last year even though I reported it. The on-site service has deteriorated. Very unfortunate.

The food and iced tea were fantastic. We'd love to come back! The service was very nice, in our opinion we could have come by a little more often. The facility is worth seeing and something special. We felt comfortable, perhaps sitting a little close to the loudspeaker. See you soon again!

I ordered from Too Good to go. A portion would be worth 27 Fr. I paid 8 francs per portion. It's ok for 8 Fr., but that's not the point of this app! The point is that you get the food worth the original price so that there is less food waste. My “menu” (basically rice, lentils & vegetables) is not visible on the menu either. I find this an absolute disgrace and I immediately lost my appetite.

We've eaten here several times and the food has always been great and the service has been great and courteous. Recommend anyone who likes Lebanese food to try this restaurant. Our favorites are the grilled skewers with extra flatbread & garlic sauce, the baba ganoush and the green beans.

Very nice outdoor seating area, perfect for the summer with an Aperol Spritz. We particularly liked the chicken shawarma plate with rice and would be happy to come back.

There was a bit of a lack of service staff and the waiting time was a bit long but very friendly 😊

Unfortunately, the unprofessional and sometimes unfriendly service does not do justice to the actually very good food. It's a shame, but we won't come back.

We have already tried to eat at HoM twice and were looking forward to it. But each time we didn't get that far (or only for an appetizer) because the service was absolutely catastrophic. Service is unprofessional and completely inefficient (lost, on Valium, I don’t know). The Resti opens at 5 p.m. on Saturdays. But the service only arrived at 5 p.m. and took care of the tables at a snail's pace instead of the guests (no greeting, no asking, etc.). You could have taken the orders first and then continued cleaning the tables. After 30 minutes of waiting with the baby, we left without eating as it was unbearable to watch. Unfortunately we won't be coming back a third time...it's a shame and disappointing.

Was there for a business lunch. The Lebanese food was really pretty good. One could only be more precise when explaining what the edibles are. Even when we asked detailed questions about dessert, the information was sufficient but fragmentary.

First the positive: the food. Very, very fine and freshly prepared. The mezze variations are recommended for larger groups, as you can try everything. Also ok in terms of quantity. Unfortunately, there were exceptions, more on that later. Now to the points of criticism that unfortunately prevent a better rating: Ambience: There isn't really an oriental atmosphere in the area. The tables seem improvised and there are no decorations to be found. There were no spices on the table (some might like it spicier?) or additional cutlery (e.g. spoons to scoop the food). Service: Hardworking, friendly, but not gastronomy professionals. I've never experienced serving warm beer to guests before. If you know that the store is full and the weather is warm, you have to prepare for it and keep enough drinks cold. This is unforgivable for me. Exceptions food: Flatbread: Industrially produced, tasteless, carelessly placed on the table in plastic. Please for heaven's sake stop this! There is probably no easier bread to make than flatbread and if you can't manage it, you should look for a bakery that can supply it. Variations: Virtually meatless. I think there were 1-2 meatballs per person and that was it. It's too expensive for that. Everyone in the group loved the food, with the exceptions mentioned. A few adjustments are necessary to receive the full 5 stars, I hope the owner takes care of this.

No delivery service available that evening, far too expensive for takeaway! Ordered 2xbeef shawarma, beef was very tough, disappointing! Mezze for 3 people were good. Nevertheless, we will no longer consider this restaurant.

I recently had the experience of visiting House of Mezze and unfortunately the experience was less than satisfactory. The selection in the buffet was extremely simple, leaving the typical variety and richness of Levantine cuisine, often characterized by the use of ingredients such as chickpeas, tahini, yogurt, eggplant, tomatoes, olives and olive oil, as well as spices such as cumin, coriander or sumac is, miss. In addition to the disappointing food, the service was slow and poorly organized. Long waiting times were the order of the day and the food was often only refilled after a long wait. The experience was further marred by the "Comedy Mezze" event, which offered little entertainment other than a comedian named Hamza. Overall my visit to House of Mezze was a bad experience. Due to the simple buffet, poor organization and long waiting times, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

We were in Uster for the second time today and both times we were put off because the kitchen was out of meat (between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.). Therefore only one star because no food.

The quality of the food wasn't very good (lamb skewer wasn't cooked all the way through). Meze was good but no wow effect. The ambience wasn't special, it wasn't fully set up.

There were 5 of us at the Mezze House in Uster. The food was very tasty and the portions were also large. The service wasn't that motivated and we had to pour the wine ourselves. It gave the impression that they wanted to make grated food as quickly as possible. So we soon left the restaurant and went to the checkout. We were assured in advance that we could pay for the meal by invoice. When we wanted to pay, we were told that we should have said in advance that we would pay by invoice. Now that she has typed everything in, she can no longer change it. Very annoyed, she pointed out to us that we had to pay with the card and that she couldn't bring the manager over, that this was the way it was and it was our fault. The next day I contacted the managing director, who apologized to me and said that the employees were stressed, but that this shouldn't happen and that it wouldn't happen again. Nowadays everyone is under stress and you can be friendly even under stress. In the end we still couldn't pay by invoice. We were there for the first and last time.

The food was moderately good. The service was also a bit reserved and couldn't respond well to the guests. The temperature in the restaurant max 15 degrees. However, I was very disappointed that - as someone allergic to dairy products - I found out afterwards that the lentil soup, which was declared “vegan”, contained butter. An absolute no-go!

Lebanese cuisine. The truth is that the food was very good. And also very varied, we were able to try a lot of different dishes. The service however was not up to par with the food. The staff was not friendly at all and it took them an hour to get our food, even though the restaurant was empty and they already knew in advance what we were going to have for dinner.

Very fine Lebanese food and served relatively quickly. You should make a reservation for the weekend but it doesn't matter where you sit in the room anyway, it will be very loud and crowded anyway. The prices are just at the limit.

Great food unfortunately not for first timers. After asking, the only thing I heard twice was that there were 20 plates...no explanation about the dishes. Were there on Friday with 10 hungry people, but when we wanted to reorder after 9:15 p.m., the grill had already been cleaned... well, I expect a little more when it comes to table service... the business has to be a sure-fire success with the service...

After a few years, or may I correct the recession upwards. Food is still very good. Service got better The restaurant has been furnished and is now heated.

It was just take-away to pick up at home (Saturday evening around 6:30 p.m.) Very friendly service and pleasant atmosphere... 1.: Great falafel sandwich in really tasty flatbread (not as bland and floury as elsewhere), and 2. Kefte sandwich as well... Balanced mix between meatballs and lettuce/onions and vegetables; fresh, crunchy (don't know what was in it, but it tasted very good to me as a meat eater). While I was waiting, a lot of people (families, etc.) went upstairs to the restaurant, so obviously popular because it was good; Maybe reserving in advance is a good idea. Definitely have to eat there sometime, because the menu looks very tempting (whether for meat or vegans😉) They are really RECOMMENDED 👍👍👍

Incredible. I am Lebanese and can only recommend the restaurant to you. The chef was alone today and delivered me the food after 15 minutes and it was great. Even gave me a drink on the house because he looked at my waiting face. Taste is authentic.

Very friendly service! The mezze are excellent and that's what it's all about!!! Price / offer: Very good. Very good Uster Bräu! Matured in a rock cellar. You should also try Lebanese wine. Surprisingly good! Make a reservation on the weekend! The rooms are special. The furnishings are lovingly designed in a large room. Some chairs are more comfortable. Unfortunately it is a bit cool in winter and only really warms up when there are more guests. Therefore 4 stars

The idea is good but if you know and love oriental cuisine, you will be disappointed here. The food tastes like it came from a can from the Turkish shop next door. It has a lot of potential. The staff is friendly. Addendum and note to your comment: It's a bit disrespectful and not particularly professional the way you answer. I'm just passing on my experience. I love oriental cuisine and have had a number of experiences at home and abroad. A direct comparison if you have eaten at SimSim, le Cèdre, Moudis or Ikrams (Konstanz) and then come to your place, you know what good cuisine has to offer. I'm not saying you're bad. You've improved a lot since you opened, but there's still potential.
