Indeminese in Gambarogno

March 15th, even though Google says open, it was closed. A pity I'm sure it's a great restaurant otherwise.

Truly magnificent place...exquisite food, impeccable service

On a trip to Indemini today I stopped at Ristorante Indeminese for lunch. The food was good and inexpensive, and the apple pie we had later with our snack was also excellent. The service was extremely friendly. The 90-minute journey by post bus from Lake Maggiore across the Alps up the Neggia to Indemini was extremely interesting. Over 1,000 meters of altitude were covered on the winding mountain road. The village of Indemini is still inhabited by around 30 residents. Some of the old stone houses are now used as holiday homes. The stone paths through the village are difficult for old people to navigate; there are no handrails. The side walls of the house help a little with support in various places. The village, near the Italian border, used to live from smuggling. Although those times are long gone, the clocks here seem to have stopped. A beautiful place for experienced hikers and explorers.

We enjoyed the stay very much. The polenta with raclette cheese was excellent, the service was very friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable here and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful, unique panoramic location - the Torta di Nonna is a poem, we wish we had come back after our hike... and had taken another piece of the Torta di Nonna with us. Hopefully this restaurant will be around for a very long time in this remote, lonely, picturesque village!

Despite being a small restaurant in Switzerland at the end of the Veddasca valley towards the Neggia Pass, it has a good quality-price ratio and a simple mountain menu. Better to drink beer because wine costs too much for us Italians. Very nice place with a terrace overlooking the Tamaro and Monte Lema.

A little GEM in a beautiful village. It takes a while to reach Indemini both from Switzerland and Italy, but it's worth it to enjoy many suggestive landscapes and the restaurant after...

Indulging in a dish, a good glass, a good beer at Indeminese is entering a delicate and timeless world, taken by the hand by a woman who exudes class and accompanied to a rustic terrace overlooking the Veddasca valley which gives us a scenic pleasure which launches us into a truly human dimension, free from the trappings of this redundant society overloaded with futile uses that make us forget true healthy values. This place has great atmosphere food and service it's quite a drive to get there on a narrow winding road but well worth the adventure bring cash because they don't take credit cards

Wer im Grotto Indeminese speisen will, muss es sich verdienen! Etwa 15 km lang ist die Fahrt vom Lago Maggiore über gefühlt 100 steile Spitzkehren hoch zur Alpe di Neggia und wieder hinunter nach Indemini, ein abgelegenes, kleines Grenzdorf mit heute noch 22 festen Bewohnern. 2 von ihnen sind die Betreiber des einzigen Grottos am Dorfeingang. Aufgetischt werden regionale Spezialitäten wie Ossobuco, Risotto, Brassto, Tessinerplatte, etc. in einer Qualität, die die lange Anfahrt sofort vergessen machen. In der Herbstzeit schliesst man das Essen am besten mit einem garantiert hausgemachten Vermicelles aus Kastanien aus den umliegenden Wäldern ab. Wer dann immer noch nicht genug hat, lässt sich von der freundlichen Besitzerin noch einen Grappa oder Noccino servieren!

Ausserordentlich nette Leute (Fausto und Orietta) führen dieses schnuckelige Restaurant in indemini. Gutes Essen, typisch tessinerisch. Sehr schöne Terrasse mit grandioser Aussicht. Sie sprechen auch Deutsch. Unbedingt besuchen. 8tung, wie in vielen Grotti im TI nur Barzahlung!

Am Ende unseres Urlaubs wollten wir (Mann, Frau, zwei kleine Kinder) in einem kleinen, ruhigen, urigen, landestypischen Restaurant zu Abend essen. Die Anfahrt von Tenero (dort war unser Campingplatz) haben wir in Kauf genommen, da die Bewertungen des Restaurants durchaus positiv und die Preise für Schweizer Verhältnisse günstig sind.Schlussendlich waren wir sehr froh, dass wir dorthin gefahren sind, denn es ist ein uriges Lokal mit einer sehr netten Inhaberin und leckeren Speisen. Zwar waren nicht mehr alle Speisen verfügbar, damit konnten wir aber gut leben, da alles frisch gemacht wird und dies schmeckt man auch. Auch des Espresso zum Abschluss war wunderbar. Zudem kann ich den weißen Merlot empfehlen, nicht zu säurelastig, aber Wein ist ja bekanntlich Geschmackssache.Mit Kreditkarte konnte leider nicht bezahlt werden, dafür aber mir Euro oder Frc.

Es ist ein wundervoller Ausflug, die Fahrt Maccagno, Indemini, Passo die Neggia und wieder hinunter nach Vira.Indemini liegt günstig am Weg und ist als Ort absolut sehenswert.Günstig am Weg liegt auch das Ristorante Grotto Indeminese.Eine sonnige Terasse lädt ein, der Blick geht über das Veddascatal und die umliegenden Berghänge.Signora Orietta ist sehr freundlich und charmant und berät gerne bei der Auswahl der Speisen. Die Karte ist überschaubar, die Gerichte werden frisch zubereitet. Die lokale Küche ist schmackhaft und die Portionen sind gut bemessen.Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Das Restaurant ist anfangs Dorf, sofern man von Italien kommt. Man kann draussen sitzen und hat eine schöne Aussicht. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und freut sich über die Gäste. Die Karte ist einfach und auf Pasta spezialisiert. Das Essen schmeckt ausgezeichnet.

Located in the beautiful village of Indesimi, right on the main road you will find parking spaces directly at the house. The menu also promises some delicacies, unfortunately we weren't hungry, we treated ourselves to a nice cappuccino. We really liked it there! Recommendation with a clear conscience.

After more than 10 years, we were back in the Grotti and... JUST GREAT AGAIN! The food was top, the service was top, the cook... well, haha, also TOP of course (Dear Fausto) :)

Great place - real pass - quite fresh up here even in summer. It's worth it if you're a little hungry. We would have preferred to go to the much cheaper Italian side, but unfortunately we didn't find anything there. Only fantastic villages and views, narrow streets, churches - an enchanting Vedassca valley: highly recommended to drive through here as a day trip!!!!

Der Aufenthalt im schönen, alten Dorf Indemini in den Tessiner Bergen hat sich gelohnt. Wir kehrten durstig im Restaurant Indeminese ein und waren beeindruckt von der Sauberkeit, der Freundlichkeit der Gastgeberin und der wunderbaren Aussicht. Im Indeminise gibt es eine interessante Karte mit einheimischen Gerichten zu sehr moderaten Preisen.

There were two of us and we strolled through the idyllic village, then we ate at Ristorante Indeminese, which was completely worth it. 1. Great view 2. Food very good 3. The price is completely reasonable 4. Very nice service, you immediately feel at home (they also speak German). I would eat there again in a heartbeat.

Wir haben im Ristorante Indeminese eine Zwischenhalt eingelegt und assen einen sehr feinen Fleisch- und Käseteller mit frischem Brot. Die Gastgeberin war sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und hat uns noch das eine oder andere von Indemini erzählt. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl in diesem Restaurant!

Het is een uit wat wij hier noemen belgische kinderkopjes opgetrokken dorpje hoog in de bergen op de grens tussen Zwitserland en Italië met zeer smalle straatjes en veel klimmen en dalen dus. Onbegrijpelijk dat hier ook zoveel rijke mensen wonen want er is buiten een restaurant eigenlijk niets te doen. Het is bij mooi een leuk uitstapje om het 1 x gezien te hebben. Als het weer minder is wordt de rit naar boven en weer terug een slopende onderneming. Smal, druk en slechte wegen.

Dies ist ein typisches Grenze Mountain Village. Dies Resto ist an der Hauptstraße. Kann es gar nicht entgehen lassen. Einfach, aber ehrlich und gut Essen! Der Service ist freundlich. Kein WiFi, aber man ist ja nicht, dass hier in den Bergen.Toller Blick von innen oder von der Terrasse.

Super rustikales Gasthaus mit viel CharmeZu erreichen über etliche Kehrtwenden ;-) als Motorradausfahrt absolut Hammer. Geniale Aussichtspunkte voller Romantik mit saftigen Grünen WäldernBeim nächsten mal werden sicher Fotos mitgeliefert welche mangels Accu leider nicht zustande gekommen sind.Dafür ist dann die Überraschung umso schöner :-DFazit : Sehr empfehlenswert

Eine gemütliche kleine Terrasse lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die Aussicht auf die umliegenden Berge ist eindrücklich. Der Monte Tammaro und der Monte Lema von ihrer Rückseite.Wir hatten "nur" gemischte Salate und eine Piatta Ticinese. Aber die waren fein, das Glas weissen Merlot dazu passte. Aus dem Weinkeller gönnte ich mir noch eine spezielle Flasche zum Mitnehmen. Da kehren wir jederzeit gerne wieder ein.

Après avoir visité les lieux, nous avons pris un bon repas dans ce petit et chaleureux restaurant. La cuisine y est bonne pour des prix équivalant ceux des villes du canton.

Gehen immer wieder gerne vorbei und geniessen einen Tessinerteller oder ein Risotto ai Funghi mit einem weissen Merlot. Wunderbar
