I think the owner at the checkout (the one who always has a medical mask on as if covid 19 was still an issue) is the unfriendly person I have ever met. Me and my friends are regulars and always order or go there personally, throwing our money out the window and he wasn't even able to donate something as usual (I didn't expect it) but at least friendliness would be very important, especially if you work in sales; ) My colleague and I once again paid around 100 for rice there, which I like to do for good food, but this Thaddeus didn't say thank you after paying and didn't even say "goodbye" or "have a nice evening". He also gives the impression that he has depression. A pity! Because I actually like eating there but I'll never go there again in my life because of this Indian cheapskate.

The staff was very unfriendly, the boss in particular should rethink communication with customers... The food is also rather below average. We probably won't try it again.

Very nice service & boss.. But you still have to cook the lamb for an hour...very tough...and one of the sauces was still frozen. If I had known that, I would have cooked myself ;)

Went to the restaurant looking at Google reviews and I see why it has such good ratings. Taste matters and they delivered 5/5 on it - with perfect level of spice (not hot). Did not try the starters/entree but had main course of curries, naan, and rice, and ended the dinner with an awesome carrot based dessert (gajar halwa). Would definitely recommend and will personally visit again when in Bern!

Three of us went there and had a great time eating some delicious food item. Amazing host, wonderful interior and superb location. A special mention to the chef Kashif for preparing such amazing food with little extra spice.

Must visit here for Indian food . The chef was so kind to understand everything I wanted and the food was just excellent. Dal tadka is a must must try . Have to been to many restaurants in Switzerland but this one was soo good . And loved the hospitality

This was the best Indian restaurant we came across during our entire Switzerland trip. Mr Kashif is a very genuine person and he cooked some real good Lamb kebabs, chicken tikka, Chicken Masala and the best was his Dal. I am not exaggerating but the dal he made was by far the best, I never ate anything like it in India or Dubai where there are some great Indian restaurants. I would highly recommend this restaurant for people looking for authentic Indian food and traveling with kids to Switzerland.

Ah, what wasted potential! Centrally located and easily accessible, the restaurant makes a good impression at first glance. Unfortunately, it quickly becomes apparent that there is a lot of room for improvement. The jumbled interior and furnishings make you quickly forget that you are sitting in an Indian restaurant. The outside area is green and cozy, but you can't look into the corners, otherwise the illusion will quickly disappear - thanks to numerous piles of rubbish, old coffee to go cups in the leaves from the last few years and other rubbish. Not very inviting! The service is terribly bad. It takes ages for a waiter to show up. Not once did anyone check whether you needed anything else, whether it tasted good or whether everything was OK (at none of the tables). We had to wait almost 30 minutes for the starter, and the main courses took over an hour. There was hardly any activity at the time. The bread ordered with the starter only came with the main course. One of the waiters spoke so quietly that he couldn't be heard. We had to ask for the bill three times (all three times by someone going to the counter, unfortunately no staff showed up). We asked for the rest of the food to be packed for us and were then given empty takeaway containers on the table and told to pack it ourselves (probably better, otherwise we would still be sitting there waiting...) . An absolute no-go: When setting up, all knives were touched by the cutting edge and the forks by the tines. This is unhygienic - there were clear fingerprints left on the cutting surface, which suggests that your hands were not really clean... The sanitary facilities looked clean, but there was no more paper to dry your hands with, and there were empty toilet paper rolls lying around - not entirely trustworthy, especially when you consider the other lack of basic hygiene. The restaurant can save itself three stars thanks to the food itself. It was really tasty, quite spicy, but without the spiciness overpowering everything. The lamb dish could have tasted more like lamb and the rice could have used a few cardamom pods, it was quite tasteless. The two chicken dishes were top, well balanced, harmoniously seasoned, tender and well-cooked meat. Conclusion: If you have time and are not very hungry and are not fussy about cleanliness, you can eat really tasty Indian food here. Not for people with time pressure or already very growling stomachs. If it weren't for the rubbish, it would be a good place for a first date, as the waiters never bother you anyway. TL;DR: Too bad. Food good, location dirty, staff apparently afraid of the guests. Hygiene poor.

Food was good but sadly it was not comfortable eating our meal with the main door open for the whole time, the reason for that was because the restaurant filled with cooking smoke from the open kitchen. Also not hygienic to see cleaning cloths and towels hanging over the bar area into the restaurant. Need to find a different was of dispatching the take away service ( back door?) as in a small restaurant delivery drivers were constantly in and out again not nice when people are trying to enjoy their meal.

Tastes great and is inexpensive. BUT, of course the best food is of no use if it doesn't come or comes too late. And that has actually happened three times in a row now. After waiting for an hour I always call, then it takes another 10-15 minutes. I was really hoping these were just blips, but it seems to be an ongoing problem. Hence only two stars. If the food comes within the usual 45 minutes, I'd be happy to have more (if I order again..)

The chicken masalla (hope I'm spelling that right) was incredibly good. The chicken was super tender, the spiciness of the sauce was perfect, the portion size was great (very large) and this thin bread, naan, was a culinary delight. If you could give it 6 stars, I would give it immediately. What's more: the delivery was prompt and on time.

A supplier is the last thing. Had very negative experiences with it. The food is actually always good. I wrote to the restaurant using the contact form. If I order again and this delivery person comes by, then that's it. There are plenty of good alternatives for Indian food in Bern!

Food taste is very good but they add more food coloring and naan also not that much hot. Inside the restaurant, they opened the kitchen, so cooking smoke also comes and more flies also there.

I ordered online via the homepage to have it delivered. When it was completed, an error message appeared. There was no confirmation via email. When I asked by phone (the employee only spoke English) I was told that the order had worked. In the comments (as requested) I noted that I would pay by card for delivery and that I didn't want a salad. The driver got lost (but was very nice), had no information about paying by card or the option to pay by card (cash only) and there was salad for all three portions ordered. As always, the food tasted excellent. The only reason to keep ordering there for Indian food.

The waiter not so good. We were the first to receive the aperitif as drinks. I think it's a shame, the food was very tasty and we were no longer hungry so we had to take the food with us

Been to Indian restaurants in South America, Central America, Spain, Switzerland etc. So far I have never been disappointed. Probably not real Indians running this restaurant. The coconut milk tasted rancid and it almost seemed dishonorable. Were served like dogs with no motivation.

Should have interpreted the main negative sign and not eaten there (cleanliness of toilets 2/10). Food somehow had an old taste like stale. The waiter's motivation left a lot to be desired. Unfortunately never again.

I have often ordered for pickup or delivery. The website is a bit buggy at times, but works well overall. The food is very tasty and is a fair price for dinner. I think lunch is cheap. They more or less adhere to the exact times, I calculate plus or minus 20 minutes. Personally, I don't like the ambience enough to eat on site. Very friendly staff. It's nice that you run this restaurant in Köniz, thank you. :)

Very good food and reasonable portions. We ate on the terrace with our baby and were very impressed by the courteous, friendly and attentive service. It's worth eating there.

The food was delicious, unfortunately not very hot. Service was non-existent. There was no fresh plate if you wanted to get food a second time. How you get 4.5 stars is a mystery to me.

We ordered food online directly from the website, or tried to. Conclusion: Never again. Neither the desired delivery time (food arrived 3/4 hour early) nor the credit card payment on the website worked (after several attempts you were always redirected to a blank page). The note that card payment was desired upon delivery (according to the website this should be noted in the order note) was ignored, although we replied to the confirmation email again (should be done this way if there are further comments) with the renewed request Card payment and the desired delivery time. Conclusion: Delivery came way too early and the driver didn't have a card device with him. So he (who was probably the least responsible) had to make the trip again because we didn't have enough cash in the house. The food was delicious (that's why it got 2 stars), but it didn't have much to do with the pictures on the website. Lots of sauce and meat, or paneer and very few vegetables. No comparison to what is displayed on the website. Too bad, that was our last order.

Ordered today from eat.ch. After 50 minutes, 2 chicken dishes were received as ordered. Unfortunately, both dishes were completely unimportant, rather sweet and not recognizable as curry. I'm sorry, but I've had much better Indian food.

Very cordial welcome. Succulent and spicy meals. As for the meal, there are really no downsides (excellent). Plus it's open on Sunday evening. On the other hand, the atmosphere is ordinary.

So far only ordered via delivery service. Approximately 45 to 60 minutes until the food was delivered. Pleasant portions and always tasted great. Always delicious.

We particularly enjoyed the butter chicken, okra masala and palak paneer 👌 Lentil curry and garlic flatbread simply delicious 😋 The service staff was also very friendly and accommodating. 2h delivery time!! Today 5:20 p.m. online with 'ordered as quickly as possible'. The email confirmation said there was a 59 minute wait. No problem for Sundays. After 1.5 hours I asked if everything went well with the order; it will come in 5 minutes. it was said. After 2 hours still nothing received. Unfortunately no apology and unfriendly on the phone. A pity! In the end, the food was delicious, after all.

We went with 4 families. Everyone was so nice and made sure that we had a great time there. The food itself was amazing. Paneer naan, garlic naan, onion kulcha, kadhai chicken. Everything, top notch. We had a birthday, had a cake and there was masaala chai to go along!

Expectation was high as they have very good reviews everywhere but the experience was just average or rather below average. Mango Lassi was excellent. Aaloo bonda, chicken wings / Jhinga - not upto Expectation . Butter checken/ kadhai Paneer was ok, Lamb rogan josh- below average.

The best Indian food, perhaps the best in Switzerland so far. We have had food in many places in Swiss but this food we had, was authentic. The Biryani was not some flavoured rice, asking it to be made Indian spicy and flavourful didn't mean they would destroy the dish with chilly powder and chillies. It was properly made, very very authentic taste and such a flavour blast. My wife and myself enjoyed the food to the core. Definitely I would be visiting again. Hopefully next time I can control my hunger for 5 mins to take some photos to update the review. We were so famished by the mere taste of Biryani this time. Guys, loved it. This is truly as name goes, an Indian Kitchen.

Essen schmeckt aber haben über 1.45Std gewartet. Joghurt sauce fehlte zur vorspeise.Essen war lauwarm..Reisportionen war knapp..und beim Coccnut Cicken hatte nur 5 Pouletstücke.Tika Masala hatte mehr Fleisch.

Wir haben bestellt. Preis Leistung ist eine Frechheit. Geschmacklich und kulinarisch in jemster linie ungenügend. Poulet trocken. Sosse aufgewärmt Naan mit grob gehacktem knoblauch und labrig absolute frechheit. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen.

Ich wollte im Takeaway etwas mit nach Hause nehmen und studierte am Tresen die Speisekarte. Mitarbeitende aus der Küche liefen ohne Maske quer durch das Restaurant oder unterhielten sich ohne Maske am Tresen. Der Kellner zog zwar die Maske an, wenn er mit uns sprach, zog sie aber dann auch wieder runter, wenn er sich mit dem Kollegen aus der Küche unterhielt. Für mich ist dies sehr erstaunlich - ein Restaurant sollte es sich gewohnt sein, einfache Regeln des BAG einzuhalten.

Etwas lange Wartezeit, was sich jedoch geschmacklich zu 100% lohnt! Bereits mehrmals bestellt und jedermal war das Essen sehr, sehr gut!

Bestelle regelmässig bei Indian Kitchen und ich finde es gibt kein besseres indisches Essen im Raum Bern. Die Naans sind immer noch warm wenn sie ankommen und die verschiedenen Currys sind wahre Geschmacksbomben.

Preis-leistung unschlagbar und erst noch freundlich! Empfehlenswert!

Eigentlich immer gut, aber entweder viel zu früh geliefert oder auch mal zu spät... Und diesmal versalzen leider.

Das Peshwari Naan war wie immer grossartig, und auch das Chicken Vindaloo schmeckte hervorragend. Es war weniger scharf, als ich erwartet hatte, aber hervorragend gewürzt. Die Portionen waren wir immer grosszügig.

Locaux un peu vétuste, rapport qualité prix un peu cher. Malgré tout on a été assez bien servi. Bravo de pouvoir emporter le surplus. J'aurais mis 3.5 étoiles tout de même 🙂

As an indian can surely say, best indian food in Bern region. Lunch buffets are highly recommended.

Eigentlich war nur das Take-away offen. Dennoch haben die Restaurantleitung und das Personal meiner Freundlin und mir einen Tisch gegeben und uns sehr gut und sehr freundlich bedient. Das Essen war köstlich: zuerst ein vegetarischer Starter, eine Vorspeise für zwei Personen mit einer Auswahl von 6 verschiedenen Speisen je zweimal mit zwei Saucen zur Auswahl: Pfeffermünz oder roter Chili. Danach ein Gemüsecurry und eine andere Gemüsespeise deren Namen mir jetzt nicht einfällt (... Moktha?) und separat eine grosse Portion Basmati Reis. Es war sehr fein. Besonders gut war auch das frisch gebackene Naan-Brot mit Knoblauch. Dazu Mago Lassi und Mineralwasser. Mehrmals kam der Chef oder Kellner vorbei und fragte, ob alles in Ordnung sei, ob er noch etwas bringen könne? Aber es war nie störend oder aufdringlich. Die Portionen sind sehr grosszügig und das übrig Gebliebene wurde wie selbstverständlich eingepackt und mitgegeben.

The lunchtime buffet isnt what it used to be. The owner wasnt there, instead, someone else was managing the restaurant during lunchtime. If Umair had been there, I am 100% sure our experience would have been 5 star. its a 90km, 1hour roundtrip for us - thats how good the Indian food normally is here. The Bad - no COVID protection notices posted anywhere. No hand sanitisers at entrance, no-one enforcing hand-sanitising! (this is a buffet remember!) no-one recording guests names, the buffet manager walking around with his face-mask covering only his mouth, sometimes draped only over his chin. No hand-sanitising observed by any of the staff during the entire 45mins we were there - serving people, waiting tables, handing over takeaway, receiving money!, eftpos machine, touching buffet surfaces, touching furniture touched by others... incredible! The Forgiveable - buffet was 50% stocked with food the entire time we were there. As soon as the popular dish came out it was emptied allmost immediately by guests. the choice was good, but just wasnt available all the time. No-one waited on us when we arrived nor asked us if we wanted a la carte or buffet, a drink...hence we were ignored for 10-15mins before getting up and just deciding to do the buffet! The Good - the food is tasty, but not up to the same standard as the evening preparation and service. Perhaps it was the choice of buffet meals presented? But compared to all our other experiences eating their, this visit rated a 5/10. With Umair and his usual Pakistani Manager, service was always 11/10. What happened Umair? Please correct this!
