Impeccable service, caring staff. Full of good flavors. I recommend this address without hesitation. Good experience.

The restaurant has got the atmosphere! It is quite cozy (even if it's a bit dispersive), but I enjoyed the wooden walls, with beautiful pictures. The food was especially good and tasty. The garlic and cheese naan are simply wonderful. I suggest anybody to taste them. Also, the biriyani (I ate the vegetable one) is tasty, perfumed and delicious. The special house dishes are worth trying, as are lentils and chickpeas. The portions are huge. However, the prices are high, as usual in Switzerland. If you come from outside Switzerland, unless you are really rich, it is expensive.

The food here is tasty and authentic, especially the Dal Makhni. I saw a group of tourists trying to blackmail the restaurant into giving them a free bottle of wine (to take away). Accent and appearance: an American (who also sang several times in English) and his French-speaking colleagues. Finding the restaurant with the car (despite a previous visit) was not easy - I recommend parking on the main street. I appreciated the kindness of the staff.

Zayeka in India means Great Flavour & Taste… Indian Zayeka truly justifies its name. Owners Preeti and Harmeet are gracious hosts. Truly Indian food in all its glory! 👍 My suggestion is that since they are next door to EPFL and UNIL they should give some concession or even think of delivering fixed food packs for the students in reasonable price. Good fresh food at affordable price would be a boon for all students! Hope you can do it soon👍

This was our first visit and we gladly put 4 star for the buffet experience! The selection was large and very tasty, although additional chutneys could have been welcome. The price is nothing to complain about and the staff was very nice and welcoming. The music was turned off once the buffet hour was over and it unfortunately changed the mood instantaneously which is a shame, but that’s not relevant to the food experience, which was a pleasant surprise and made us wonder why we didn’t know about this place sooner!

Just two words: Amazing food! The food at Indian Zayeka Restaurant is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can choose among many menu options. The food can’t get better and the prices are fair for the portion size. I loved the service at the place, particularly the kindness and sympathy of its owner, Mrs. Preeti. She is so friendly with the guests and always takes care to offer the best food quality! I highly recommend this place.

An Indian restaurant I've been going to for many years! At midday you can enjoy a all-you-can-eat buffet with a fairly big choice of food for 25.-. In the evening there is the menu with a very large selection of different food. In both cases, the food is excellent. I particularly appreciated the full sized menu as there is a tremendous choice of different meats, different curries or different styles of cooking. It's absolutely delicious and I can only recommend you try out this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

If you like authentic indian food, this is definitely the place to go. The restaurant offers a wide range of non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes all so authentically indian where the customer can decide on his own as to how spicy he wants his food to be prepared. The slight wait is worth it as the dish are freshly prepared and taste absolutely amazing and tastes authentically indian,whatever be the level of spiciness. In my opinion, the only indian restaurant worth going to.

Alright ! Welcoming restaurant with pretty Índia decoration… Very friendly staff! A very good buffet at lunchtime for 42 Frs per person, with a good variety of rice, meats, fish, shrimp and a good assortment of vegetables! I advise you to go and see for yourself!!!

After a lot of goofups with Uber eats, we decided we would pick up food from here. Having arrived, we found that parking was extremely difficult to locate. However, the food is always worth it. They customize the spice levels based on requests. The spicy Chennai chicken and the Methi malai mattar paneer (containing Indian cheese) are excellent choices. We will visit again but we hope there are better directions for the parking, especially 'cse it's so hard to find it when it's dark in the evenings.

We had the buffet. My colleague having choked, we asked for water (carafe, glass), they did not want to serve us any and asked us to order a bottle. This cost him, without knowing it, 10 CHF! For my part, I ordered, after the meal, a lassi (7 CHF) without knowing that, a few minutes later, they were going to bring back to the buffet a "mango puree" which was nothing other than a lassi creamier. I mentioned it to the waiter who told me "it's not the same thing, you have to pay". I am outraged by such practices and I do not recommend this restaurant.

The best Indian in Lausanne and its region without a doubt

As always, we had a great time. The dishes are always delicious and the level of chili is adapted to our taste. The service is attentive, the servers take the trouble and pay attention to details. The owners are keen to offer us a pleasant time by taking care of the welcome and the meal. We really recommend this restaurant for an experience that will take you on a trip to India.

Located inside a courtyard between two buildings, this Indian restaurant offers tasty dishes, soft, freshly baked nan, and all kinds of rice. It smells good of spices and they are able to offer you the degree of spiciness from 1 to 5....which no one does. The portions are copious and fans of Indian cuisine will enjoy it....this was my case! Small downside….disorganized service, which causes a lot of waiting time

Order food with Uber eats. Packed shabbily so the containers were smudged. The taste wasn't good either, the naan bread only tasted like burnt garlic and was wrapped in aluminum foil, which meant it was soggy

Came here with our travel group. Had a buffet with lots of food selection. All are so yummy and flavourful. The owners and staffs are friendly. Eventhough our group is huge, food was enough and flow of our dinner was very smooth.

Discovered by chance, very pleasant surprise! We had the buffet which was really very good. There were quite a few people there without reservations so we had to wait a bit for certain dishes but despite that the buffet was refilled very quickly and the quality as well as the taste were excellent!

As a nomad, it isn't often that one gets to taste food from back home the way it's meant to be... or even better! Eating at Indian Zayeka means getting an authentic taste of India right here, in the heart of Lausanne with its melt-in-your mouth naans, ridiculously delicious vindaloos and meat dishes as well as lip smacking entrées and vegetarian fare. The quality is impeccable, the quantity absolutely sufficient and the taste is exactly what you always knew (or at the very least, imagined!) Indian cuisine would taste like but might never have actually able to pin down before. And to top it all, the management makes sure that you aren't just welcomed into their restaurant but are transported to a cosy nook in the back alley of your hometown as you savour delicacy after delicacy!

The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's just a facade. Excellent dishes (the lamb vindaloo in particular) at reasonable prices. We will definitely return and can only recommend Zayeka to fans of good Indian food.
