The island of Lützelau is a small, fine gem on Lake Zurich. You can easily reach the island with the Lützeltaxi from the harbor of Rapperswil-Jona or with a group trip on a dragon boat. We were warmly welcomed by Steffi and well looked after. Highly recommended for a trip.

The latter sometimes point this out to you before you go to sleep (after 11 p.m.). No light conversations are accepted after 11 p.m. Music or games are also an absolute taboo. Most of the employees are really very nice and accommodating. In contrast, there are unfortunately a few people who look at you skeptically from the moment you set foot on the island. You're already guilty before anything even happens. When it comes to hospitality, these specific employees can still learn a lot. Also annoying - there used to be three fireplaces, today there is only one, for an estimated 80+ people at full occupancy. This leads to waiting times and more potential for conflict. In short - a nature-related place to stay with the family, but friends who want to enjoy the summer evenings in comfort should stay away. Otherwise they will be disappointed and even discriminated against.
