One of the best fusion restaurants in Geneva, superb setting and impeccable service, nothing to complain about, except perhaps "go for it".

The food was really good. Lovely atmosphere. Excellent service and nice staff. Overall experience was nice.

Excellent dinner in December. Black cod, a treat, grilled eggplant is to die for... I'm not sure if it's on the menu either. Dream accompaniments. I enjoyed myself until the end with a selection of incredible Moshi. No wine drank during this meal but an excellent smoked tea which accompanied the dishes wonderfully.

Great little restaurant on top of the four seasons. We ate here twice during our 4 night stay. Really enjoyed the food.

The view is magnificent, the service is great, the dishes are very good. But it is true that when we spend almost 350- for two, I quite appreciate having to leave my seat at the end of the meal because of a second course. Although the server was very courteous. If deadlines are so tight it might be a good idea to get the dishes out faster.

An excellent meal but disappointing and particularly long service, moreover, the restaurant offering two courses, we were "kindly" kicked out. Removing plates while some guests are still eating is unheard of in a luxury restaurant and particularly embarrassing. So we went to drink coffee in another establishment....

We went there one evening with my partner, the food is excellent, from starter to dessert. Although some dishes are, in our opinion, excessively expensive. However, it is regrettable that the servers took the time to explain in detail the menu, the suggestions and the dish of the day to the other tables, but not to ours. My friend had chosen this particular restaurant for the view, which turned out to be non-existent. The meal was delicious, that’s all you need to remember about this address.

Visited Izumi on a weekend while visiting Geneva. The dining experience was just that, an experience. The restaurant staff will treat you like royalty. The food was excellent, freshly prepared, beautiful presentation. There’s pages of wine offerings by the bottle. You will spend 100CHF per person if you get a glass of wine or a drink. The terrace was closed due to weather but it’s a gorgeous view (they let us go up after dinner to enjoy). You will definitely need to call ahead and make a reservation. They have two dinner services; one at 7pm and another at 9pm. They also have a lunch option too.

A Japanese inspired fusion restaurant. The appetizer of the course, fried oysters, not only tastes great, but it is a reinterpretation of Japanese fried oysters, which was created as a reinterpretation of Western food imported during the Meiji era, and has been re-imported to the West and modified with modern Western culture. It was an ambitious masterpiece, and it was very impressive. The sushi was fresh and good, but the other sashimi-based appetizers and grilled rice were nothing special, and the main dish, the lobster, was a bit disappointing with a heavy mayonnaise sauce. The view of the lake was great and the restaurant was very comfortable.

Very nice culinary experience, refined cuisine. We took the tasting menu which for the place is not excessive in terms of price. On the other hand, as it should be, they make up for it on the drinks :-) In the summer the restaurant is on the terrace on the top floor of the hotel with a superb view of Geneva. Attentive and friendly service.

Not really Japanese food, more fusion. Usually such type of restaurants are expensive, but food is not very special. Food is served very fast, which is good. Restaurant is always full. Better to make reservation. Atmosphere is amazing, roof top, full moon view, amazing music, very kind staff. But food is so so, portions are quite small, not really something that I expected while ordering. It is nice and romantic experience but no more than for one time. More for nice memories.

Good food, bad service. I've probably been there 10 times. but never again. The two services in the evening don't work... or you start at 1830 and are more efficient in service. Took 30 minutes for a coffee...

The vegetables are raw and dry, a stiff atmosphere, the smokers on the terrace pollute us, music too loud, the view is quite limited, too much waiting, and the beef had 4 mini pieces! Never again!

This restaurant is an absolute marvel, each dish is an explosion of flavors. The cuisine is so refined that they will manage to make you appreciate even what you don't like. The team is extremely friendly and takes great care, the good humor and professionalism of this team is extraordinary. All this in a sumptuous setting with a breathtaking 360-degree view of Geneva. To conclude, you cannot miss this experience.

Izumi Geneva offers a delightful culinary experience. The beef tataki stood out as excellent, bursting with flavor. The lobster tacos and soft shell crab sushi added a unique twist to traditional dishes. The innovative new style sushi with Sisho leaves and fish tartare showcased their creativity. For main courses, the sole muniere style was cooked to perfection, and both the lamb chops and Swiss beef were delectable. The well-curated house wine selection perfectly complemented the meal. A must-visit for a diverse and satisfying dining adventure. Notably, the service at Izumi Geneva was top-notch. The attentive waitstaff took the time to explain each dish with great detail, enhancing the dining experience. Their friendly and informative approach added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal.

It's good, but not exceptional. Disappointed in particular by the turbot sauce and the salted butter caramel, which was way too salty (lack of subtlety).

It is always an exceptional moment both in terms of taste and in terms of view. On the other hand, I find it really limiting to charge 6 balls per person for Edamame (soy beans), when they are served with the aperitif and we had absolutely nothing to ask for. No problem, I'll be careful next time... but the calculation is simple when it comes to thinking about tipping the bill.

Not cheap, great views, very nice manager

Superb experience on the rooftop of the Hôtel des Bergues. Nikkei cuisine that we love and which is brought to a very high level here. On the plate you could think you were in Lima! For the rest: the welcome, the view, the service everything was perfect. THANKS ! We will definitely come back.

For me, Izumi is one of the best restaurants in Geneva which offers delicious Japanese and Peruvian fusion cuisine, combining both quality service in a trendy atmosphere and an incredible view of the city.

Fifth time I've been to Izumi, I think this time it will be the last. My husband and I ate delicious and refined dishes on the terrace, apart perhaps from the beef which was overcooked, the service I must point out is very friendly. I am sorry to see that when we taste dishes of this quality with so much flavor and finesse and that the terrace is allowed for smokers, how can we appreciate this food?? There isn’t even a place set up for them, it’s completely CRAZY! So we ate while ingesting heavy metals from other customers. The music was also completely inappropriate and much too loud, why not Jazz like in Japan?

By being in the best location and in best hotel of the town doesn’t warn points if while experience is not good. It is more of a tourist trap and nothing else. This hype around this restaurant is self created by management. I don’t think people are going twice to this place after going once. I had better food and better experience’s than this one. Food was average and service was very average. To cut it short their was nothing great about it so don’t want to waste any more time on review. Complete waste of money

Fantastic rooftop setting. Service a little lost with several errors which in no way spoiled the experience but made the bill which is excessively expensive pass a little less well. Everything was very good without having a star quality that would justify this kind of price and the quantity is minimal (I had to fill myself with rice...) The price of espresso is always a good indicator, this one This is 9 CHF!! You mainly pay for the frame. We had the discovery menus. Very good experience but only worth having once, especially since other places, with similar and equally qualitative cuisine, are available in town at much more consistent prices. An alignment of prices in relation to the quality of service and quantity and it would be a 5/5.

Too expensive, good but nothing exceptional. I went there on the first and second service. The first service is oppressive because it is absolutely necessary to free up space for the second. The second service is also oppressive, because they have to close the establishment. For a restaurant of this type, you pay a lot for not much.

We have been seated in a noisy table and they had no flexibility in moving us to another one. They were telling us that the other ones are reserved, and thats strange since they didn’t ask through the phone on where to be seated. This is a very overpriced restaurant and if you’re not sitting in a comfortable and nice table, its definitely not worth it.

Excellent Japanese restaurant! Don't miss the salmon tataki or the tuna tartare on crunchy rice, 2 essentials! A real treat I recommend. As a bonus, if you are lucky enough to be on the Rooftop, you enjoy a superb view of Geneva.

The welcome, especially for a 5-star establishment, was unacceptable and ruined the start of the evening. Same bitter observation for the end of the meal. After waiting for desserts, the bill was brought during desserts and the table was cleared before we even finished. Having lived in the US, we are used to double or even triple services but we have never had the unpleasant feeling of being rushed for the next service. This is not up to the standard of the establishment. A shame because the view from the rooftop is breathtaking, the service during the meal attentive and the food simply exquisite. A real delight with impeccable presentation.

Nice restaurant located at the top of the Four Seasons Geneva hotel. With a wide variety of delicious dishes such as the tuna tartar with crispy rice or the classical spinach, miso, parmesan and truffle oil salad which of course makes us think of the Nobu. Very recommendable!

Some great appetizers. Not so much the makis and the nigiris. For the prices they charge (20euro an average 1 piece of sushi), I would have expected better training of staff in explaining the dishes and in helping with the selection.

Very mediocre, absolutely not at the level of what one would expect from fusion cuisine. Ceviche with poor quality shellfish and fish, same for the octopus dish and poor cooking. Rice with shrimp and coriander totally tasteless, in short pitiful and very disappointing!

Everything is perfect and excellent. A few drawbacks, however: the cold starters are prepared in advance and are served too cold. The excellent service from Mr Rayane quickly made us forget the lack of smile of the person who seated us and who gave us the menus mechanically without the slightest glance. When will restaurants understand that service is as important as food?

Took 40 mins to get our drinks. Staff outnumbered the guests but seemed to be struggling. Food was ok but many dishes were overly sweat. Sushi was good.

I had the chance to eat on the rooftop with this sublime view of the Geneva harbor. The service is impeccable and attentive, well beyond my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by the Peruvian Japanese fusion food. The base is Japanese but with subtle and surprising flavors. Very good, very refined. I want more! The sashimi is sublime, the Udon with tempura very Japanese and delicious. The shrimp rice is spicy, rather Peruvian and I love it. I will go back there.

Came here for best friend’s birthday dinner. All impeccable. Contrary to other comments, I enjoy very much the fusion touch on Japanese-based cuisine. Service amazing and all. If price isn’t an issue, this is the place. Make sure you drop by the rooftop with your drink before leaving, it overlooks the nice old town and eaux-vives

It's getting worse! Catatrophic telephone reception if switched to the four season. Hardly friendly if the call concerns the restaurant. Restaurant table service ok...but nothing more...Luckily still very good but frankly I had much better memories of it.

Was there with my husband 4 days ago. The food is tasty, service was good however we’ve got food poisoning. Both of us. During 4 days we suffer from (pardon me for details) diarrhoea, not able to eat anything. The day we went to the restaurant we ate at home during the day the food that we are used to eat, so the poisoning symptoms come directly from Izumi. No view at all btw. The roof top is closed. Just few tables available inside , but what’s the point if the place is famous with its view and in the end it’s not available Disappointed.

The food is not fresh enough, a jug of water costs 6 euros, please improve our customer experience!

Superb restaurant located on the rooftop of the Swiss Four Seasons palace. It is therefore a premium location, the view is breathtaking, it is quite simply the largest roof terrace in Geneva. The meal was perfect from start to finish. You are in a high-end restaurant and it shows. Special mention for the signature à la carte dishes, a delight. From the tuna tartare with gochujag sauce on crispy rice, to the black cod miso zuke.. the yaki meshi rice was excellent. Chef Tsukada’s fame is indeed well established 👍

A “fashionable” “on-trend” place with an incomprehensible seating arrangement - tables for two are generally located in the aisle - and two services per evening, when the client needs to arrive on time, and then leave at the appointed time because the next ones are coming. Expensive (the same champagne is twice as expensive as in drinking establishments on the opposite bank). Portions are small. Having a very superficial relationship or no relationship at all with Japanese cuisine. Good, solid service - and this is the only thing about which there are no questions. Overall the impression is strange. Hundreds of euros/francs from the nose for dubious pleasure

One of the best japanese restaurant I’ve had. Service was on point and food was amazing ! The fish dishes are very fresh. The must dish is definetely the tuna tartar on crispy rice, it tastes so good ! It is obviously a bit pricey but I personally didn’t really mind spending on good quality food.

Approximate service, the dishes are good but not exceptional, it is the minimum for these prices, the waitress is borderline annoying, nice location on the other hand, but really too expensive for what it is and very far from expectations. Sauan and Nagomi are definitely better. Bad experience.

It's very lacking but the dishes come one after the other much too quickly for my taste! You can definitely feel the pressure of the second service arriving straight behind you and it's still a shame at this price...

Izumi isn’t what is used to be, unfortunately.... left the sushi standing in the hallway for like 20min (sushi) time for a competitor in Geneva. It is 2021...

They say the view from the rooftop terrace is amazing. I could not experience that due to the weather of the day. However, the food was delicious. Service was good at the begining of our lunch but as the place got crowded it became a tad slow. Overall a very good experience. Wagyu was buttery smooth and yellow fin tuna sashimi with yuzu was wonderful.
