Jack's Cevap House in Kriens

I recently had the pleasure of eating at Jack Cevap House and I have to say it was an excellent experience! Even though the restaurant was crowded, the service was incredibly quick and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious; every bite was a delight! I highly recommend Jack Cevap House and look forward to returning soon.

Food was fresh and tasty and value for money was okay. It's a shame that the whole restaurant tastes like cooking and frying. And of course our clothes

The food was excellent, the cevapi are delicious as they are eaten in the Balkans! The environment is also very welcoming. The only flaw is that you have to order the kajmak separately.

Cool place, amazing balkan style food, friendly staff and very convenient location close to the train station.

First I wanted to talk briefly about the situation. It is very easy to reach by public transport/train. Train station is right next door. There is plenty of parking space for cars in the parking garage next door. To eat. Very nice, you have a lot to choose from as well as a lot of options depending on how much you want to eat. The dessert was also very fine, which is usually difficult to find in winter as the ice cream is usually frozen. Service and price OK

Cabbage salad had no special taste... Service had no motivation (the one waiter)...no greeting..nothing noted when ordering..and promptly forgot the fries.. (Still water means..."non-carbonated".. (I ordered it that way too, said): Why do you ask me straight away...whether I would like carbonated water or not?

The Cevap's are very tasty, the sauces are both a must!

There were 4 of us there - for the money we spent there, we were eating in a TOP steak house for LESS 2 weeks later - conclusion; overpriced! These mini jars of sauces already cost CHF 2 to 3 and with the dessert we saw that ice cream from the Coop is used but the charge is then obediently 12.50 with a piece of cake. We won't be coming back and can't recommend you.

I've eaten here several times, the food is really good, especially the beans and cevapi which I order regularly. The service is quick and impeccable. At the highest level!

Unfortunately, a rather mediocre experience. Price performance is not right in my opinion. Both the food and drinks are too expensive for what you get. The service was okay, 1-2 misunderstandings, a long wait, but otherwise friendly and reasonably attentive. It's a shame, we probably won't come back.

Found via the YouTuber Bernd Zehner. Watch his video about Switzerland. What he describes in his video is 100% true. Very tasty fresh food, very attentive service and a nice ambience. Parking garage is nearby so there are no parking worries. Thank you to the team and see you next time ✌️

Jack's Kevap our stomachs were a real sevap. The waiter, Jan, pleased us the whole time, and my husband delayed our departure. After kebabs, Jan brought us wafers and it really brightened our day. 😃 Rarely good service and food, it's not every day. So hurry up to Jack's Cevap, to serve yourself even better in good company. ❤️🙋🏼‍♀️

Jack's Cevab House strives for the best cevapcici in Europe, but in my opinion they haven't reached the goal yet. There is room for improvement.

We were very hungry and wanted to eat something Balkan. The ćevapi were a good choice and nobody left in hunger.

For us, mission accomplished, dear Jack. We've been coming back for years. Everything is prepared with a lot of love. I would like to thank Natasa for the nice and very friendly service. Absolutely everything perfect.

Had lunch there with a colleague. The waitress didn't speak German well so it was a little more difficult but all in all we ate very well. Fresh bread and the plates were beautifully presented. The price is rather expensive but I can recommend this restaurant to everyone. We'd love to come back another time.

Zurich I discovered the shop today and was a little hungry, well it wasn't bad, but definitely not the best in Europe, I know two within a 5km radius that are a lot better and, above all, cheaper at 16.50chf for 5 Cevap and the sauces extra 5 .- and also pay extra for the soggy bread 🤔 absolutely ridiculous, plus I waited 35 minutes for a piece of bread and 5 Cevap😉🤔 top performance. However, the location was cool and the staff was nice and therefore 2⭐ but I wouldn't go there again. He is still a long way off on his mission to create the best Cevap in Europe. Not recommendable

I really liked the restaurant. Waitress spoke fluent German, English and Croatian, she was very kind and welcoming. If you like Balkan cuisine you will certainly enjoy your time here!

So glad we found this place on our 1st night in Lucerne. The food was wonderful! We shared a salad that was big enough for 2 and full of fresh veggies & olives, and came with bread and cheese, and we got the cevap with 10 sticks to share. It came with a delicious bread/roll ? and onions and we got the cheese sauce with it. We loved every bit of it! The service was a bit slow as they were really busy but the servers were so patient with all our questions because it was all unfamiliar to us and they translated everything.The lager was a perfect accompaniment to the meal.

The service was very friendly, but that was the only positive thing. Price-performance is not right. I would have liked to order a steak but it doesn't seem to be available there. Only fatty meat products; although they don't taste bad, they are of poor quality. The sauces too, greasy and rather expensive for not making them in-house. For this money there is much better food in the area, I won't go there.

Great food, great people, excellent service! Owner was kind enough to accommodate us when we arrived late, keeping the kitchen open after other places turned us away. The burger was great and so was the beef liver.

Modern, well-equipped restaurant with very friendly staff. Easily accessible by public transport and car. Note for Muslims: The food is not Halal, will be answered if asked. So I can no longer eat in this local restaurant myself.

Hmm, the mission is: "best Cevap in all of Europe". If Mr. Jack excludes Bosnia & Herzegovina, I am sure he can accomplish this mission. But he will never be able to keep up with Bosnian Ćevapćići. The prepared Ćevapćići were rather dry on the last visit, which is a shame. Longer waiting times from entering the restaurant. Price, however, is ok, I don't know why many complain about the price. What's cool is the saying: you hunger, I cevap, it sounds good. I also think it's a shame that you don't get the Ćevapćiće as shown on the menu cards. Well, there is still a lot to do because the mission is within reach. But never forget quality always wins and quality starts as soon as you enter the restaurant.

The food was very fine and original, inexpensive. The employees are friendly, attentive, prompt. The ambience is simple, black dominates the walls, whether you like it is a matter of taste. Luckily there is a long window front. The location is great near the train station or Migros Parking.

Today we wanted to go to Jack's Cevap house again, there were a lot of people. We waited at the entrance as written. Here people came after us and pushed forward and were also cheeky. I won't be going back here any time soon.

The food is good, unfortunately it is a bit noisy in the restaurant. On the one hand because of the guests, on the other hand the music was a bit loud. But otherwise satisfied.

Really enjoyed the food, delicious. Excellent meats and sauces and salads. Could do with a few more dips to compliment the amazing meat. We both enjoyed it.

Delicious Everything!! Jack’s Salat - be sure to order both of the Hausgemachte Saucen. And the Jack’s Kobaya! And lastly order the dessert, Jack’s Kombi!

The ambience of the store is cozy and creative, no question about it. But unfortunately it starts with the waiter not even knowing a type of beer they had on offer. You can close your eyes there, when we got the dish there was nothing visually wrong with it. But the dish was so salty that you couldn't finish it without a drink. Ok, it's a stupid decision if you don't like the dish, but you also had to wait a long time to pay. Had to get up and go to the counter for this. For such a simple dish + drink, the price was not at all appropriate.

I've been to Emmenbrücke and Krien's guest several times - Zurich is still missing 😉 but will catch up soon. For me personally the best cevapcici in Switzerland - and I know what I'm talking about because I grew up in a gastronomic family that specialized in cevapcici. The team is always courteous and organized, special requests are taken into account, waiting times are never an issue, even when the restaurant is full. Portions are large, value for money is absolutely right. It's all freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. A little tip - try veal liver, it tastes great too!
