Friendly, good and close to nature...

Large portions, deliciously cooked - but the prices are very high. The cheapest vegi plate alone is Fr. 32.- (according to the menu) My first thought was - Have you been deserted by all good spirits? You are free to decide how you set the prices, but even in Switzerland you cannot get a fair return under local conditions. Pricing needs to be corrected from 2 to 3 $ signs.

Excellent beef fillets as well as perch fillets. Delicious ice cream! We look forward to returning and can only recommend this restaurant! I forgot to say that the bread is absolutely delicious! A delight !

Very very 😋 delicious, comfortably furnished, like a hunter's home, warmly furnished, charming, the food was very, very tasty, good wines, the service was really friendly, funny and correct. On weekend evenings you have to make a reservation.

The only restaurant I know where you can eat saddle of venison as an individual without registering, very good!

There is really delicious food here. I've been here a few times and have always been very satisfied. Both with the service but also with the food. The portions are very large, almost too large. But you can have the leftovers packed up and take with you. The garden restaurant is also very pretty, especially in summer.

Very nice garden terrace, only the conditions could be better. There weren't so many guests that you had to wait that long to place an order. But the waiter was very friendly👍 I have to add something else. I've never had such a good cappuccino, it's great👍👍

In very hot weather it was pleasantly cool at the table we had. Everything was very clean and our waiter was great, friendly and had an open ear for every question. This is not a given, especially since the garden restaurant was large and very well attended. We absolutely loved the kitchen. Everything was perfect and enjoyment was not only the foreword, but also the main and final word. Despite the stress, the innkeeper didn't miss the opportunity to greet his guests personally and make sure that everyone was happy. Thank you for everything.

Beautiful beer garden with upscale food and perfect service

Great location on the Giesse and the Aare. Easily accessible on foot but also by car, has enough parking spaces. The very good food can also be enjoyed outside in the garden under the trees.

Overall, unimaginative and loveless cuisine that is stuck in the 80s and with prices that leave you speechless. 16.- for fries? Really? 15.- for "Strawberry Storm" made from cheap wholesale material... The service was good, the beer and its price were reasonable. Overall, ok for a drink on the bike tour, otherwise an expensive culinary dead end.

It is a beautiful place with a garden restaurant under the trees, every now and then the silence is broken by a plane from Belpmoos airfield.

Interior a bit outdated, strange rebellious and drunk clientele at the regulars' table - was very disturbing! Food very good! We didn't feel comfortable with the atmosphere! Good location and a bit hidden. Seevice friendly… I will avoid this restsurant, it's a shame about the good food. Unfortunately I can't recommend it!

It was a shame it was rainy and fresh. Since the restaurant was occupied, we ate in the garden. In warm weather the garden is a dream. But dinner went well. The price/performance ratio is right, the service was friendly and we enjoyed the evening in the Jägerheim despite the bad weather.

A bit remote but nice (almost) directly on the Aare. The garden with its large trees is a true oasis in summer. The menu is quite extensive, so every guest is sure to find something. The portions are rather generous. Very friendly staff! High chairs are also available for small children. There is also a water bowl for dogs and a charging station for e-bikes (large selection of adapters/cables for the common types).

Very fast and attentive service. Despite the partly old-fashioned menu, the cuisine is very tasty and balanced. (On the positive side, you don't always need new bells and whistles.) The restaurant is in an idyllic location and the garden terrace is pleasant even in high temperatures thanks to the old trees. The desserts are rather large. This is perfect for strengthening yourself during a walk. To finish off the meal, even good eaters can grab half a portion. Edit: The morel sauce for the fillet is simply awesome. :)

We happened to pass by on our bikes in 2019 and had lunch in the beer garden. We chose a daily menu. It was very good, everything was fresh and had a good price-performance ratio.

A very nice, very cozy restaurant, well maintained, with friendly employees. The menu has seasonal offers with a good ratio of services and prices. The service was friendly and competent. The food is seasonal with a good range of local game specialties where possible.

There are a benevolent 3 stars for the evening, my partner would have given it 2,,,, The service wasn't exactly at its best in terms of friendliness and attentiveness, the noodles had a lot of salt, but the cream schnitzel was juicy and ok,,, The breaded schnitzel was dry, but that was partly due to the breading being rolled in far too much egg. Judging by the prices quoted, there should be significantly more.

Slightly higher price range but the portions are very generous. If you like game or fish you should definitely visit here. Large, beautiful terrace. There are enough parking spaces available. It's a bit hidden but definitely worth a visit.

Chef Brönnimann and his whole team are contributing their part to an unbelievable dinning experience. Forelle Blau as well as the beef filet where exquisite. Jägerheim is a hidden gem close to Bern in Belp. I hope it is remaining it's petite boutique hideaway standing in the next years. Btw: The prices are very relatable when you compare it to the prices in Bern or Thun.

We were here once 5 years ago, had a bite to eat in a busy restaurant and refreshed ourselves with cool drinks after a bike ride... The attempt to repeat this beautiful experience led to one of the most unpleasant visits to the restaurant ever. Friday 11:15 a.m., largely empty restaurant; The spontaneous decision not to eat anything (yet) and just drink something motivated the staff to go on a tirade of abuse that left us speechless. Something like "best place occupied", only for "dining guests" and "quick turnaround" was probably the tenor. Yes, we should have asked first if we could even do some tea. But hey, it was a smart decision and, above all, the restaurant was empty except for a few tables. So what on earth is this all about? Well, we changed our ways so as not to have to be responsible for a health-threatening emotional scandal, drank up and left. By the way, bringing the classic at the end and spending a lot of time fiddling around in your wallet (and not wanting to admit that there are no tips for hospitality) was actually amusing again. Otherwise... There are two stars for the beautiful location under large shady trees and the nearby water. In addition, apart from the outdated furnishings, a hefty priced menu and an extremely bad-tempered waiter, we couldn't find anything positive during our visit this year. We won't make a third attempt. PS: we are not complainers looking for a fly in the ointment. If we don't like something, we usually keep it to ourselves. However, this experience still leaves us shaking our heads weeks later and so the owner writes this experience down 'in the guest book' as food for thought.

Great atmosphere on a beautiful summer evening under the large chestnut tree! Roast beef 1A. Chicken Cordon Bleu, however, should be removed from the menu. The molded meat is a complete disappointment.

I can't understand the reviews here. After a long time (due to Covid) I was back in the Jägerheim, a popular excursion destination in the south of Bern. Unfortunately, I barely recognized it! The shady trees are still there, but I was shocked when it came to the service, food and, above all, the PRICES. 38 francs for 2 small whitefish fillets and 4 potato pieces, served carelessly, is simply excessive. 25 francs for 4 medium-sized spring rolls with salad...well. The portions are not exactly amazing and the presentation is rather boring. So if you want to enjoy mediocre food with gourmet prices under beautiful chestnut trees with a beer garden atmosphere, the Jägerheim is the right place. Otherwise I can only recommend going to another restaurant.

As so often, we ate very well. The service was attentive, friendly and competent.

We had dinner there yesterday. The food was very tasty and also absolutely reasonable in terms of price. There is a large selection of dishes on the menu. There's definitely something for everyone. Also great if you take a walk along the Aare and then stop there. The fact that we had 2 dogs with us wasn't a problem either, we'd love to come back.

The garden location looks very cozy and invites you to linger. Dogs are welcome! A short walkway leads to the Aare where you can walk for hours. The Giessenbad and Belpmoos Airport are also nearby. The ice cream menu is not too big, but the main meal menu is varied and appealing.
