Jazz Cafe in Montreux

The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing break from exploring the city. The Moelleux Au Chocolat was rich and indulgent, with the perfect balance of chocolate and pecans. The tea infusion à la menthe was refreshing and the perfect accompaniment to the dessert. Overall, we highly recommend this cafè for a tea break or a sweet treat while in Montreux. The service rendered by Monsieur Kevin Gascoin was very friendly and excellent, making our experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back next time we are in town. The food is nice but what happened to your service waiters? Usually one of my favorite restaurant in Montreux as the food is nice! For three people we paid 525 chf which was okay for what we had. I just expected more about service staff member. The person who was responsible for our table had the knowledge of a waiter of a Kenyan buffet restaurant waiter. There is expected more.. but still a great place to go for dinner.

We had to give our burgers back because the meat was still raw. We received two new burgers including two new portions of fries without any discussion and very quickly. The service is very nice!!!

I got a vegetarian dish and my coworker got the seafood risotto. I can honestly say the dish/food was not good at all, really tasted very bad. My coworker went to the bathroom and was sick twice. Other two in party did not seem to have any problems. Would really avoid this place if at all possible.

After being set for over 30 minutes outside, I was really disappointed to not have seen even once any waiter outside. Shouldn’t it be a five star service? As I left I was curious to know if they actually do service outside, which the woman on the phone confirmed. Too bad..

Standard brasserie-type food, adjusted for being in a 5-star hotel. I did not appreciate that even though I ordered a starter, a main, and a glass of wine, the staff remained quite pushy about forcing me to order water, which I finally did just to stop the pestering. That brought my total bill to CHF 111 before tip.

In front of the restaurant there is a beautiful little park with statues of legendary jazz artists.

Special mention for Jovanka and Matthias who took care of us throughout the meal to make sure we didn't miss anything. truly impeccable service, my family had a great time, and I thank you, The dishes were excellent from start to finish, chef Domenico and his team amazed us with incredible dishes, the risotto was just EXCELLENT! And thank you to Marine for the rest of the evening at Funky, with these cocktail discoveries we really feel that she loves her job. Thank you again for this moment!

Restaurant for my brother-in-law's birthday. Everything was very good. The service was first of all perfect, a lot of professionalism and availability. The meal was delicious. The pleasant atmosphere. Chef Valentino came to tour the tables to make sure everything was going well. And we had the opportunity to go to the bar side after our meal to have a last drink while listening to a jazz music group. Perfect.

It was nice French restaurant near the lake. Nice quantity and good decoration of the foods. There were also many family with kids. It might be better to make reservation when you go around 19:30.

We ate very well. Generous and delicious portions. Small downside for the scallop carpaccio, because the leche de tigre distorted the delicate taste of the scallop. I come to them about twice a month, and if I don't come I see them once a month. The best thing about the place is the handling and attention to the smallest details, starting with the reception and ending with paying the bill. The reception of the staff is nice and nice. The coffee is nice, my coffee is American, and I come especially for the honey cake.. Thank you to them, and I especially thank Ms. Abeer, Mr. Ahmed, the waiter Qutb, the waiter Amaj, and of course, and the supervisor of the place, unfortunately, I do not know his name.

When in Montreux, it is essential to have a meal at the Jazz Cafe and catch live music next door at Funky Claude’s bar. My dinner and dessert were excellent and the service beyond outstanding.

Evan found a great restaurant in Montreux Switzerland that was part of the Fairmont Hotel. The food was fantastic! I started with a coconut soup that was light and flavorful. I then had lobster risotto which was, by far, the best risotto I have ever had. Perfectly cooked and crazy good flavors packed into a perfectly sized portion! I ended with a sour cream ice cream that was unusual but very satisfying. Yummy!

First time at Jazz café and everything was perfect.. Magnificent decor, friendly and discreet attentive staff, and delicious food. A big congratulations and a huge thank you to the entire service and kitchen team. For us it was flawless and an unforgettable moment. We will come back for sure!!

Nothing negative to say in substance. It's very good, it's well presented, the waitresses and waiters are very friendly and they too. The only criticism I would have would be on the quantities which could be a bit larger... Otherwise the cheesecake is great

The vibe here is great. It's fancy, vibrant and u can go to the conjoined room for live music and a pub. The food, particularly my Eggplant dish I wasn't eager about. Too much Eggplant, couldn't taste the miso and wasn't enough stuffing throughout. The macaroni was great. The drinks were fantastic though, the purple rain was great. Burger looked good and looked like many ppl were ordering it so might be worth a second chance.

We had a great time at the Montreux Jazz café. Chef Valentino's cuisine is succulent, the accompaniments and condiments original, the products quality. The service is also very professional (Me Perrin), in anticipation and support. The value for money is therefore absolutely correct. See you soon !

MJC is one of the best places I have ever been. DOT. Everyitime it is possible I'm trying to find some time to take there coffe. Meals taste absolutely amazing. Coffe here is my No`1. The waiters does their service work absolutely perfectly. You should try this place. I recomend to do it in the middle of the day, when here is relatively calm.

Undoubtedly THE place not to be missed if you want to spend a great evening with friends in a Jazzy atmosphere. We travel for a few hours, NY as if we were there! The staff is cool while being super professional! The menu is surprising and the plates are very, very well served. Here we eat very well in a very cool atmosphere! (Which has become increasingly rare). The concert and the top artists!!! Flawless! Well done !

It was a wonderful dinner. We had a char and a coquelet à la Quincy Jones. Both were very well prepared. The only downer: a beer from Valais for 11 CHF - even if it was tasty, but the price-performance ratio is not right here.

Unfortunately, during our visit we were taken care of by a novice waiter who prepared a tasteless steak tartare for us. This was a real disappointment for us, especially since the restaurant claims to be "Premium". We were expecting a quality dining experience, but unfortunately this was not the case. We hope that the restaurant can review its practices and improve the quality of its dishes to provide a more pleasant experience for its customers.

An aperitif on the terrace after the spa, I wanted to enjoy the sun. Terrace on the roadside sidewalk. But I will come back to try the cuisine

We came during the hunting season. Most of the dishes were pretty good. The atmosphere is very nice and the service is pretty decent without too much fuss. By the way, the accompaniments are much too salty or even inedible....rather good value for money in the end.

Difficult and unfortunate experience here with our food. I won't go into detail, but let's say we found something in our salad that was not supposed to be there... Should not happen, but can happen, perhaps even in the best restaurants. Unfortunately the restaurant chose an unexpected route for closure here: took the salad away (no apology) returned it with the piece of vegetable in the salad that had the unexpected visitor replaced. Again, no apology. Actually, as I write this I'm more convinced this is a no go, for any restaurant of any class. So, for us first and last visit. On the positive side, our main server (a women, different from the salad guy) was very friendly and extremely competent. The ambiance and the musical heritage does make for a potentially special occasion... If not for the unexpected visitor...

Totally met expectations, everything to a high standard but with a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. The seabass ceviche delicate with a sharp citron dressing, followed by filet des perches washed down with a local chardonnay- superb.

The restaurant is very nice, the dishes very good and very well presented. I gave 4 stars because the wines were served late with the dishes.

Get ready for a high-end experience not commonly found in restaurants today. Do yourself a favor...wear nicer clothes when you dine here. A jazz themed, artistic type of environment which was intriguing and surprisingly elegantly sophisticated the same time. Crisp cloths and shiny surfaces signaled the forthcoming meal should be greatly anticipated, as it was. When the sharply dressed waiter brought our lunch, I think I audibly sighed. We enjoyed our elevated lunch experience and I would say, the total hoped for experience.

An attractive and wonderful place for jazz lovers, the decor is fantastic, with all the pictures of jazz celebrities and their collectibles, the food is delicious, and the service is excellent.

Price and performance don't match here. Our waiter tried hard but was awkward. We had to pour the wine ourselves. The soup for the starter wasn't bad, but it lacked character. The burgers were fattening, heavy on the stomach and of poor quality. I can't recommend the place.

Stay away. We have all been there. You are seated and watch every table around you get their meal. Even the people who get their meal before you are wondering where your food is !! Except this place is so disorganized, that no one acknowledges that it has been over an hour and fifteen minutes, and they haven't even asked if you want more water. No one has even acknowledged that you are there. When I did finally take occasion to get up and speak to ' someone', I did ask a server - is it because I only speak English. And she said 'yes'. She fully understood my question, but she also understood the bias that we were exposed to in this restaurant. I have travelled a great deal, and I have never felt so discriminated against because 'I don't speak the language'. The only hope is that the Hotel Fairmont Le Montreux Palace Duty Manager, Nathan demonstrated excellent leadership skills when speaking with me about this poor service. Unfortunately that does not translate to the Montreux Jazz Cafe staff. They are terrible.

if you attend the jazz festival or any other event you have to visit this place with a great musical history on its walls, this place is excellent at any time of the day, the people who work here are very friendly and you always have a smile at all times , the quality of the food is very good and you can find different specialties on the menu, the wine selection is good although you have to check the availability of the day. A coffee and dessert are a must here.

Disappointing. The shop doesn't seem to function without Claude Nobs. According to the staff, no music for seven months and the management is doing nothing. One is not surprised at the lack of motivation among the employees. A pity. Certainly not in the spirit of Funky Claude

Delicious cappuccino with perfect milk foam and café with milk very aromatic. Just a dream. Perfect start to the day. The croissants 🥐 were fresh and very, very tasty. The service was also a dream. A short walk through the café is like a little treasure discovery tour. We'd love to come back. Merci Bien 💥🇨🇭💗
