Kaffee Macher in Basel

I was making coffee at the train station on Saturday evening around 5:50 p.m. and had to wait in front of closed doors because there was a note saying "I'll be there soon." After about 10 minutes someone finally came. Instead of opening the doors, she first cleared the tables and chairs outside and stacked them behind the restaurant. Then I asked her politely if she was still open. She said yes, but didn't open the door. After a while I asked her again if she couldn't open the door because she could clean up later. But she refused and said she had to do it now. Then I left.

Good espresso, nice selection of beans for sale, knowledgeable baristas.

Good technique and execution with the cappuccino. Maybe the best coffee at the train station? (I don't know the others :P) But if you're looking for a good espresso or cappuccino, you're in good hands here! 👍

Kaffee Macher impresses with its exceptional coffee! Many friends ask me: „Really!? You tell me to walk all the way down the tracks just for a coffee … “. My usual response: „Yes, you better do and give me feedback afterwards!“. The baristas' expertise shines through in every cup! I often buy beans too, excellent choices and high-quality products! I think the owners might benefit and consider opening a real cafè with some tables somewhere downtown instead the walk-by option at Basel SBB.

I just seem to have had bad luck, the rest of the reviews are all very good... I already knew the coffee makers from YouTube because I got a lot of my knowledge about espresso from your channel and really appreciate it! The joy was even greater when I had to change trains at the train station in Basel and had time to stop by the cafe. The flat white was unfortunately everything else good, very poorly foamed milk, terrible coffee. I think it must have been the employees' fault. However, I would recommend that the coffee making team carry out quality assurance and appropriate training for all employees if they want to protect their image... very, very unfortunate. However, there are two stars because the espresso beans purchased are very good.

Products, selection, quality - everything is great. But the super nice and quick-witted staff deserve extra praise! It's sensational what the ladies and gentlemen do here - despite often grumpy customers

They have some nice coffee beans, but baristas should be more trained for producing good milk texture and latte art.

Other cafés may be more conveniently located on the tracks, but you can get the best coffee here Pastries are always fresh and good. Prices are completely reasonable for the quality

You are at the Basel main train station and don't have much time to hunt specialty coffee in the city? You'll be able to grab you tasty coffee fix right on the tracks. I took coffee pure which was exactly what I expected, bit on the soury side but delicious. My gf ordered chai latte that also met all her expectations, it had fluffy foam with just right amount of sweetness and spices. Especially practical on Sundays when Vicafe is closed :).

Honestly, this is a really cool little coffee shop. It's my favorite place to get coffee and fresh beans, and is conveniently located in the train station. There are places to sit inside and also little tables around the outside of the shop.

The espresso was extremely sour...unfortunately it has little to do with a bar espresso.

We went there for a espresso macchiato and a cappuccino. Both were very nice, though we appreciated more the cappuccino to be honest. The service was also very kind and willing to help. The location is also very convenient as it is located inside the train station. If you have to wait a few minutes for your next train and you need something to keep you up, go for a quick coffee at this store. We bought some coffee to take home and the staff ground it for us.

Thankfully this is not like your usual railway station coffee kiosk. You have a good selection of hot and cold drinks and very friendly and knowledgeable baristas. Both the batch brew and the cold brew were great and they also sell good quality specialty beans for home use

Great coffee. Always buy the Apas. Unfortunately I have to deduct one star. as things can get a bit stressful at the passarelle. This coffee is too slow. Taking the order… brewing coffee… topping up the milk… frothing (but not at the same time) and then some latte art and the queue is already 40 meters long

Finally an espresso made in Switzerland that I was able to enjoy. A very well tuned Slayer brewed a couple of shots that I will remember for a while. Very few espressi are worth the money around Basel, but this is for sure one of them.

An outstanding cafe! There are many varieties of beans available to buy and each variety is described in detail about its properties and origin. You can also enjoy delicious cups of coffee here and enjoy a really tasty dessert. There are a few seats here. The café is very easy to reach and for me, as a passionate coffee connoisseur, it is a MUST in Basel. (See my pictures 😉)

Fine coffee... Friendly staff... Outside and inside seating... You have to go in to get the coffee or something... When you're finished you have to bring the used dishes back in... It would be nice if they had that Tables outside need to be cleaned more often... You can also buy coffee beans for home...

Ideally located in the SBB station, this café is magnificent and offers a take-out and on-site service. There is never a queue and the quality of the coffee meets my expectations.

Without a doubt best coffee you will have the pleasure of drinking in Basel. Very friendly staff making absolute premium coffees. Of course including wonderful baked goods to choose from to pair with your coffee. If you are in Basel and enjoy coffee I can only recommend visiting one of Kaffee Macher's locations. There is SUPPER coffee here., bowl in large cups. Extra shot of oat milk. It also has beer and wine, sparkling wine. You can buy organic Demeter coffee here to TAKE AWAY. Coffee cream ordered was very dark and starck. Couldn't drink it.
